Ha, what's the point of this... even OUR eyes can't pick up 600fps / 600hz. What a waste of money. We can go no more than 300fps... according to an article.
Don't waste your money on this unless you have a slow-motion camera in your eye socket!
wow, ppl are stupid. 1, hz is going to be the number of times per second that the pixels on an screen can fully refresh to display a new frame, if the content going to the tv is only 60hz or 60 fps there is absolutely no point it uping it to a higher refresh rate, your just going to be displaying the same 60fps content, but needlessly refreshing the pixels to display the same thing, it doesnt create the intermediate frames.
@Spliffer45 2nd, 600hz does not equal "0.001ms" or "600Hz = 0.01 refresh"... For 1, the second example doesnt even have a unit of measurement to it. 2nd there is no reason to put it into some decimal because 600hz already says it all, it updates 600 times per second.. And finally you math noobs, 600hz = 1 change every 0.16ms, not 0.001ms, or "0.01 refresh" (lol), it equals 0.16ms, way to be noobs! Fact is 600hz is completly useless until we have devices that output at 600hz and content at 600fps
its sucks! i bought the plasma..and 600 hz never function..and the tv plasma make my eyes sick if you watch so nearly..and than i bought lcd samsung..and life has changes peace..
@Riiya932 I know you buy super expensive graphic cards for your PC so you can use motion blur at high resolutions, the game producers spend days trying to make things blur according to the light direction and stuff and then you but a TV that eliminates the motion blur,
600hz reduces the response rate to virtualy zero, A flat pannel TV or monitor with 5ms response rate for example have problems with what is known as ghosting, its trails you see from fast moving action, 600hz removes those trails/ghosting effects giving a response rate of 0.001ms
@Lishoka Yeah Plasma is the best because LED can only do 240 and at 240 the motion looks unreal and the picture ends up looking weird. But with 600 HZ you get a true film style look.
@lipevolcom2 actually your confusing Hz with frames per second see frames per second is the number of still images per second filmed or made by the game creator that make up the video and Hz is the number of recreated frames so think of it this way if your tv played just 24 frames it would make the video look like a bad internet connection with out any juter that's where you get the blur so by adding more frames it evens it out so Hz is re fresh rate in a diff. equation so 600Hz = 0.01 refresh
600hz my ass, what this tv does is just repeating every frame 12 times and it adjusts the contrast of it everytime a frame is repeated,to let you believe that,it is true 600hz,
a true 600hz tv is a system wich will create 12 new frames from existing frames,by following the directions of moving pixels.
Haha omg.. the funniest thing here is that YOU dont even know what the fuck you are talking about.. 1hz = one FPS . 60hz = 60fps , 60hz means that they are repeating the picture 60 times. 600hz , repeating 600times/S
@johneymute the plasma is great..we own 2 and it blows all...an old movie would look refreshed with much better colours..it is one of few that support 1080P..aka Blueray...The sony Tv's are good...Nowhere near as good as this...Panasonic have took over Pion, even the new L.E.D tv that is 23mm thin cant touch this is picture Q
The eye and the feeling sensation of higher refresh rates are two completly different things. Even if the human eye could not see beyond 60 fps, it could spot clipping. And the feeling sensation of having a smoother movement in picture would be recognized by the moving picture, also easy spottet when playing video games.
hi guys, just got a new panasonic g10 plasma 42 inch full hd tv, awesome tv.can anyone tell me what the best settings are in the picture display? i'm not sure if the contrast is too high etc, it gives me a headache.
rofl I love how Panasonic are misusing the term to their advantage even though the 600hz is not like the Sony's LCD motion blur 200hz. Don't fall for this people, It doesn't have 600hz technology of the likes of Sony as that refers to the "sub-field" they use. With motionblur the 200Hz is the refresh rate of the frames displayed but with Panasonic's its the refresh rate of the colour to produce deep rich colours hence the 2 million contrast ratio. Kudos to clever marketing!
did you ever read the information out there? Regardless of it being sub-field drive 600hz, its superior refresh rate to any LCD on the market. Hands down.
It's refresh rate is the same as any other top end TV out their. The difference is that the subfielf technology they use is it pushes out 600 frames and picks the best one and displays it. You will not see a difference with Video output when even Blu ray does around 25fps. The a slight difference would probably come from video games but then again not big enough. My point is it DOES NOT have 600hz refresh rate. It refers to the rate of it selectively picking the best frames hence the sub-field
You guys do know that it ain't 6000hz... its 600hz however, I noticed the uk version has an asterix above the 600hz as if there is some small print. Trying to find it.

@RedCaughtHanded you moron.. 600hz doesnt meant 600fps
When talking about plasmas, the 600hz refers to the subfield drive. 600hz means the display is processing 10 sub-pictures per frame..
