So than would you say that it would be safe to say that you should throw as many monsters/enemies as there are PCs? like if there are 6 people playing than 6 monster/enemies or maybe even 5 just so that the fight isnt about a 50/50 chance of survival for the PCs and make the monsters/enemies skills about equal to the parties? thanks for the previous reply :)
ok i like what the d6 system has to offer and i like how simple it is but the only problem i am having is how do you build an encounter for the PCs? how do you know how many monsters to throw at them? i dont want so many that they keep dying but not so little that everything is a breeze. how do you know how many to throw at your PCs?
That is a seriously good question and one that I even have to tackle with in my own gaming. I'll try to work up a good guideline utility for just this event. of course, there is no hard, fast formula, because not formula can full account for player skill, group mix, and the unforeseen tactics that players will throw at you. It also cannot account for extraordinary luck on either side of the fight.
The only credits I had was the Septimus preorder folks, which were not "held back" since I was paying back those preorder folks even as I was taking bigs on the West End Games properties.
Furthermore, I just decided not to sell the company because deep down, I love games and the game industry. It's like a virus and there is not cure. I realized I could never really leave the business, so why should I sell one company, only to start a new one thereafter?
And I'd not have much faith ion any business in this economy.
I have faith in his vision for TORG and do desire see it come to fruition, but will trust only to product sitting on game shop shelves -- same as I always did.
I have my faults, but I try to learn from them. I think I'm a better businessman and a better person having gone through what I did. Despite the many self-generated problems WEG has faced, I've been persistent. Now, Septimus is finally out, OpenD6 is in effect (albeit the website is still being worked on) and we proceed with future plans to support Septimus, OpenD6 and put on new games that will serve the current market needs

Like I said, it's difficult to say without knowing your party mix, the power level of your group, which game (genre) your playing, etc.

Too bad as long as Gibson keeps it, I have no faith in its business viability.
