It's amazing. All those years ago Reed had to endure or at least ignore all of the bad reviews he received for Berlin from critics who wouldn't know good music if it bit them. Now he is showered with praise and it's being hailed as a 20th century masterwork which, of course, it is.

i just never got the fact right, that transformer was (and is) so much higher praised
