  • i was n rehab n '74 when my counsler introd 2 me 'berlin' alblum still have it & all of reed's the best 2 me is rock n roll animal!

  • bittersweet and beautiful masterpiece

  • How can something so beautiful be sad?

  • I feel that this song has an energy in itself i cant really explain it which makes it all the more powerful. It says everything on a purely emotional level.

  • wonderful live. wonderful dvd.

  • i was listening to alot of lou reed when this was new!!frm transformer to this and to rock and roll animal(1 of the best live albums)his peak!!!!what do kids have to listen to now??it;s sad,,

  • Holy fuck, this is the saddest record of all times.. and I love it...

  • epic song

  • EPIC!! EPIC!!! THANKS PIGNOHEAD YOU RE THE MAN!!!!

  • uh oh i cant cry no more when i was in 4,5,6 grade i could cry but things are changing cannot anymore

  • great song - hard to stay stay calm, when listening

  • The best song on the album. Sharon Jones is one of the backup singers in this performance

  • Was the working title of this called "Happy Song"?

  • Sublime !!!

  • I will listen to Lou Reed until the day I die

  • Great...well, maybe you don't even want to go there...moments in pop.

  • @Bennylux That's ROCK, not pop!

  • His best song...definitely.

  • It's amazing. All those years ago Reed had to endure or at least ignore all of the bad reviews he received for Berlin from critics who wouldn't know good music if it bit them. Now he is showered with praise and it's being hailed as a 20th century masterwork which, of course, it is.

  • I am still regretting missing this show in Sydney. I live 1000 kms away Melbourne Australia.

  • his best record is Berlin and so it is one of the 20th century's masterworks.

  • i just never got the fact right, that transformer was (and is) so much higher praised

than berlin. to me berlin is THE lou reed album.

maybe just another mark of how far he was ahead time....

    brilliant...

  • Lou Reed & Fabio Capello, ever seen together in the same room?

  • Comment removed

  • he's a really great artist and this is one (just one ;D) of the best songs of him

  • I always loved this relatively unknown song. It helped me get through the biggest heart-ache of my life.

  • Redeeming and timeless!

  • This isa ctually recorded at the Webster Theater in NYC,witht he Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

  • Man, I wish Lou Reed would take this Berlin production on tour. This is such a groundbreaking album.

  • @jerryskid1

This recording is from his Berlin tour -- something like thirty years later. He only visited half a dozen places, and some of them were in Europe.

  • Amazing show!!!

  • Legendary !!!

  • Girls at 3:51 are so beautiful

  • lol, what a totally childish stupid comment.... i think their voices can get more recognition, right?
