There were many sympathizers amongst the new capitalist class in Britain. Washington was as much their hero as he was for the colonists. @adam4757 Where did you get 20% from? Pulling things from your ass and presenting it as fact is very pathetic indeed. You Brits seem to have a hard time coming to terms with your lack of relevance on the world stage, so you vent on Youtube. Now that's what I would call a "sad existence of a nation" Bye now :)
From the Kingdom of Hawaii, you are our guardian angle! You saved our country one time. Tis a shame you did not come to our rescuse us when America invaded my country. You would be worshiped forever in our hearts! Hence we would build a statue or name a town after your name!

@tourkolkata No it doesn't! Britannia was actually the latin name for Great Britain that the Romans used! Britannia is now represented as a woman, often potrayed with a shield bearing the union flag, as a symbol of defending Britain. She is often also seen with the Lion, and can be found on the reverse of the Fifty-Pence Piece! Britainnia is often made as the main symbol (the figurehead if you like) of Britain as a country!
@pidgeblev cmon, i live in britain! and i love it (except from the weather from time to time), but you should notice that i made a little joke, and if you didnt, im really sorry for the misunderstanding!
@pidgeblev oh god, you might not believe it, but i was really sure that man u should have won the match i dont like bayern munich (or other bavarians and prussians xD) hannover 96 for the win, lets hope they will stay in the top leage this year!
I beg your pardon but the first National Ithem you show introduces the "Kurfürst" from Braunschweig and Hannover, may a advice for the educated viewer?
I cannot give an accurate aswere to your question but I can tell you that many centuries ago there were large cats in England as well as all over Europe. They are of course extinct now but there was a time when they were common as were wolves and bears. Also keep in mind that the lion has been a symbol of courage since at least Roman times and England was ruled by Rome at one time. There probably is a connection there someplace.
An untold story --of the War between Great Britain and France (Napoleon B.) If one were to have studied Veterinary Medicine, one would be inclined to learn that HORSEs made it possible to win wars back then. Great Britain had the best Veterinarians (or Animal Husbandman) during that time, and they made sure that horses were well taken care of. British knew of the use of Nicotinic Acid for equine coughs even then (not to say the source of it.) Believe it or not.
Indeed! Your queen is satisfied that the 440,000 soldiers shot and starved 22500 Afrikaner children in the Anglo Boer War. Jurgens Nieman, 30 months, was shot dead; his brains clung to his mother''s bonnet. British nurses pushed mothers away when they tried to feed their children. Meat tinned in Britian contained little hooks to tear up the intestines - this was distributed to Afrikaners. Farms were burntt; families transported in soiled cattle trucks to concentration camps. GREAT, BRITAIN!
Oh and Napoleon hated France and even after his military education went back to Corisca to team up with Paoli(resistor of French) Only thing is Paoli wasnt gracious enough. If only they'd worked together maybe so many damned lives wouldnt hav bin lost
France didnt win the Verdun Battle like every shit battle in WWI it was all stalmate.I request u 2 open a reliable history book. And at least there was no mutiny in our army.Frogs!Ha!
Oh and I still don't understand why we had to save these French skins?Look how ungrateful they are.Oh and if u hit back by saying as most Frogs do"that Yanks helped,Yanks helped"I won't deny we got help but at least London wasn't enslaved by Berlin!!
That French bastard who says William the Conqueror was Guillaime thingy, let me remind you that only time you beat us was in America 1781 and we all know what happend after that,Bonaparte wasnt even French,Bonaparte cursed and feared Britain more than any1 else,Germany humiliated u in 1871,germany humiliated u in Battle of Verdun 1916,Hilter fucked your shit country in 1940 and u came pleading for help 2 Britain.
Napleon loved Britain...he said if France and Britain worked together we could rule the world. Remember, Britain declared war on France, not the other way round. Battle of Verdun...won by France I believe.
I am not sticking up for France, just correcting a few mistakes. However I do beilive that France should be more grateful to Britiain. God Save the Queen
(btw, William the Conqueror was Norman, not French, they were different countries.)
jelly Bonaparte had an admiration for England, that's certain . But considered them also as trouble makers, double sided.
Here is a quote from Him " England is a nation of shopkeepers" .Rather pejorative from a french.
ps: Napoleon was right as usual. You probably don't know it but during the french revolution, english besieged the port of Toulon and were allie with french Royalists. It was a domestic affair, you had nothing to do there.
William the conqueror was french britshit. His real name is "Guillaume le conquérant". And we did not defeat you only in Usa. But also in the 100 years war. For me,one of the most mythic war. Chevallery and so on.
About Napoleon, you never say the truth. You were allies with Prussia (Blutcher). And after 20 years of domination,Napolen could not continue.
And France won Verdun battle. In short,a advice you to open a book or shut up
First of all it was not England, it was Great Britian. Second, you are actually sad enough to post a comment about the date of which a video was published. Third, America is a continent. Fourth, GREAT BRITAIN was not defeated by "america", but it was defeated by France, Germany, Spain, Italy and many more countries who all fought for "america" as they were threatened by the expansion of Britain's Empire, but this is a fact you yanks seem to like to forget.
yeh not to forget that the british forces were hugely oyut numbered and most of the 'brits' were actually american colonists loyal to the crown... the vast majority of our forces were in india and other more valuable regions...
@HerBritannicMajesty Im an American and am fully aware of the difference between
the England, Scotland ect. and the UK. Funny though that this video was uploaded July 4th. I am also aware that other Europeans countries greatly assisted US armies in defeated British forces.
@HerBritannicMajesty bwhahhahahah nice one i agreeee you stupid yanks dont no any history at all, without the french your ass would of been wiped with your own flag and your lips would be kissing our english puts! :)
@HerBritannicMajesty agree with most of your comment mate, but the Germans involved were on our side mate, 30,000 or so mercenaries fought for us because we paid them to, and France and Spain generally fought us in Europe and Asia during the time of their revolution, also you should of said that the real Americans(natives) were our allies too. but i'm not trolling mate just giving you more ammunition for next time lol
I wouldnt say we were defeated at all, despite going up against all those countries. I mean, sure the USA managed to become independent, but it also lost a lot of troops, a lot of money and Canada swore its Alliance to Britain. Then again in the war of 1812, the USA lost a lot of money, soldiers, failed to retake Canada, and the White house was burned down. And we beat France at the same time. GREAT BRITANNIA :D
@HerBritannicMajesty I'm sorry, there was no Italy then and Germany was disunited and weak. We were defeated in America because Lord North finally despaired and chose to take Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown as a final defeat. When he stepped down, the Whigs rushed forward to impose their will on the King, whom they despised. Sensibly, it was decided to let the 13 colonies go in return for the resurrection of trade, commerce & profit. For that reason theTreaty was very generous to the colonies.
I'm an American and I must say you are very correct. We did not defeat the British people in our revolution, the King George III was under a lot of political pressure and realized the colonies in America simply were not worth the bloodshed of British Soldiers. With the French navy also involved he had more important matters to attend to with the French than the "Americans" as they were called before the constitution.
@crazymatthew53 : We declaired independence in 1776. We didn't "defeat" anyone on July 4th. As T. Jefferson said after he signed the decleration of Ind. "The revolution is now complete and that is left is war"..or something like that
@crazymatthew53 Umm no. 4 July 1776 was when the Declaration of Independence was passed by the Continental Congress. The Treaty of Paris ending the conflict was signed 3 Sep 1783, and after a couple ratifications, the final documents were exchanged in Paris 12 May 1784. Another history lesson by a Canadian about U.S. history... :).
@crazymatthew53 Whenever someone starts up about the Americans, I remind them that most British people at the time supported American independence, and it was a really unpopular war. They felt that the Americans had as much right to self determination and liberty as a Briton. You see, at this time, not only were Americans considered to be British and seen as brothers, but around this time (give or take century or so) that philosophers were starting to talk about the rights of the average human.
@crazymatthew53 "Do not think, that the whole, or even the uninfluenced majority, of Englishmen in this island are enemies to their own blood on the American continent. Much delusion has been practiced; much corrupt influence treacherously employed. But still a large, and we trust the largest and soundest, part of this kingdom perseveres in the most perfect unity of sentiments, principles and affections with you."
If you dont like Her Majesty then why spend time watching video's about her? This video was made for those who like and respect the Queen, not those ingrateful narrowminded half wits who wish death upon someonemore popular, successful and an alround better person than themselves.
0:20 someone needs to brush the teeth.

What kind of sick cunt wishes death on women they've never met and have done them no wrong.
Your penis is small. Your ancestors cant win wars. Your favourite hobby is surrender.

our ancestors fucked in you in 1066 (Guillaume le conquérant is the real name of William the conqueror).
We fucked you again in the 100 years war.And again in the USA independence war.
And your monarchy was a tool for oppression all around the world. So keep your old fag in your island.

If you dont like Her Majesty then why spend time watching video's about her? This video was made for those who like and respect the Queen, not those ingrateful narrowminded half wits who wish death upon someonemore popular, successful and an alround better person than themselves.
