  • how do u do that on ur violin? o.O

  • @bigsis314 its called ricochet its not the most difficult thing but it does require time and practic...lots and lots of practice (O.O)

  • Paganine era piroca das ideis ....só pode que que isso meu amigo.....

  • and... were is the mastercalss? in one there is a teacher and at least one student..

  • good job

  • Great masterclass...

  • sounds like the Violin laughs around 0:39

  • @TheRaizen33 - Paganini was known to use unorthodox embellishments in his pieces including harmonics, imitating the sounds of laughter, farm animals and two lovers groaning with passion.

  • @RocktheStageNYC -ahhh! so the movie The Red Violin was based on Paganini?

  • @RocktheStageNYC -haha, I meant the scene where the man is inspired by love making..

  • lol what is this?Masterclass?Very interesting )))

  • nice but not very masterclassish lol

  • i agree.

  • amazing

  • Good playing. I have only one quations It is exception of all; do you have a tempo? different between 4 notes and 3 double notes?

  • Great performance. Would have liked to have seen a masterclass though...

  • wats that bowing technique called

  • it's called balzato.

  • Ricochet Bowing

  • @armonici

thats way to fast to be ricochet bowing

  • @truebrightdreamer It isn't staccato and it "should" be ricochet bowing. What do you think it is?

  • but where is the masterclass ??

  • Very God !

  • a talented young man!

  • He plays this piece very well! i don't like this piece compared to Paganini other caprices

  • thats probably u havnt try it on violin i suppose? =)

  • ahaha there goes a bow hair! that was frikin amazing though!

  • hijo de la gran!!!!!! impecable..mis respetos

  • oh by the way really good performance. ! XD

  • What would you call the bowing? (i mean the technique?) And how would you try to get the bow to work like that?

    Has a notebook and pencil*

  • its a type of ricochet (bouncing). it requires a lot right hand finger flexibility. First you dot 4 bounces in on the g string. Then you have to start doing one bounce on each string from low to high and then the same on the oppossite direction. and yea you'll take a few months or even a year or two ;)

  • It's also called "Spring" bowing... if I remember correctly that is.

  • thanx for the info. :)

i need to practice more. im not good with ricochet. :P plus i keep doing a sautille, (it might be b/c i was practicing czardas)

  • i thought it was sautille arpeggio.

  • Thanks for uploaded it, it's really helpful though... and nice hands, by the way haha

  • not a master class but a good performance

  • master class

    n.

An advanced music class taught by an eminent musician.

  • This is actually a quite helpful video as he slows it down a bit to allow us to watch his fingering positions--thanks! would love for you to post more on some of the others!

  • If you pause it around 1:24 you can see one of his strings have been cut loose, this shows how intense this peice is.

  • Actually, it's not one of his strings, it's one of his bow hairs (from his bow). If one of his strings have been cut loose, he would not be able to continue playing this piece. Just wanted to make this clear to everyone. :)

  • Yes sorry thats what i ment, hehe.

  • lol it's ok :)

  • @DePianoViolinGirl Yeah this peice requires use of all four strings.. haha I have played it.. and I do NOT recommend trying it missing a string! :)

  • thats horsehair not a string
