  • I hate whenever people complain on your videos for missing one part of a tab, your teaching them for free like an awesome person! They should be more than willing to look at your fingers for like 5 seconds! Bobby you are awesome and have basically thought me guitar these almost 4 years.

  • Mr. Crispy, thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. I am a teacher and this is one of the best I've seen on YT. To hear myself playing the chords of this beautiful song is just lovely. It's guys like you that make YT the treasure it is, muchos gracias de neuvo, Jack, Budleigh Salterton.

  • can you fix the tab its wrong?

  • Excellent tutorial of a master piece of music from THEE Royalty of Rock....LED ZEPPELIN. Thank you Mr. B. Crispy.

  • Very good, comprehensive lesson. One of the most accurate sounding I've seen. You hit all the little nuances that really make the song. Great job!

  • Awesome. I wish everyone would do things as clearly as you are doing them.

  • yea, this is the best guitar instruction i have ever seen. thanks. you are a rock and roll saint.

  • Great lesson. Thank you.

  • Bob, I just wanted to take the time to say a huge THANK YOU for making this great instruction video. I always thought I would never be able to play this song, and now I know it thanks to you. You're an amazingly cool teacher- and it's actually very easy! This has been one of my all time favorite songs.

  • Thank you Bobby!

  • this is one of my favorite LZ songs and i'm so happy to see that you have a lesson for it. thanks a bunch bobby

  • Dude, somehow in this vid the tabs are all screwed up. I checked on your website and they are fine unless you watch the vid in fullscreen. Confused me for a while :)

    Nice lesson, thanks a lot.

  • what kind of amplification do you use?

  • oh sorry, it seems the tabs got mixed up somehow. they are fine now. great lesson bobby

  • soryy but i found the tabliture to be a bit confusing. could you please explain them a little more.

  • @Obesehobbo oh sorry. it seems the tabs got mixed up somehow in the video. they are fine now. great lesson bobby

Thank you!! Playing this tune in standard tuning for years.I never even thought of

an alternate tuning, I guess that's what happens when you're self taught. lol

Anyway should you wanna check out some of my stuff you can listen here,

You can find me on any Iheart radio station, look for wickedtony!!

    Thanks again!!!

  • jimmy actually does upstrokes in most parts.Good lesson.

  • Thank you for your lessons! I can play LZ songs. Salut from Czech republic.

  • It is really well done, how you have divided it into small section, repeating slowly with the tabs. Really, really good. Easy to follow :)

  • Thank you so much! So pedagogic done!! Now I can play it too and I am very happy for that :)

  • Thank you very much Bobby,(Im 51) and finnaly will be able to play this song right,

  • Is it safe for me to tune my guitar to EADADE or will I risk breaking a string? I have heard of peoples G strings(haha) breaking....

  • You the man Bobby!!!

  • skip to 3:40 to get straight to the lesson

  • This is absolutely fantastic! I kept trying to figure out these chords with regular tuning. Obviously couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Your lessons, tone and playing are really top notch and I greatly appreciate your taking the time and making the effort to help struggling guitarists like me improve. Cheers!

  • Who else love the tabs shown in the video? :P

    Just kidding Dude!

    You Rock! \ m/

  • thanks man :)

  • Many, many thanks :)

  • Great lesson. Freaked when i saw we had the same guitar.

  • Great job brother! Keep it up.

  • I don't get the tuning.

  • Very helpful, Bob...do some more!

  • Bobby Crisper! I'm not sure I have enough pot to make it through this lesson but it is indeed well presented!

  • might i add that jimmy used EADADE which is essentially the original tuning, but a step higher, for his live version. so it sounds the same when you play it, but its easier to tune it, since you just need to tune the 2nd and 3rd string. also i personally think that sounds a wee bit better. :)

  • i have this same guitar. its a fantastic i must say

  • I can play it in standard tuning!!! Haha!!! :)

  • This is the first song I have ever learned/played on my new/cheap guitar, and thus far am overjoyed at the idiot prrof style going on here. I only wish you could tell me how to make my semi-crappy guitar sound better... I believe the response would be get a better guitar? thanks for your time dude...

  • fuck busted the d string

  • shit, it´s awasome..

  • Broke the B string.

  • 2 dislikes???????????????//EH?????????......

brilliant brilliant lesson amigo, and fantastically presented.thank you kindly for taking the time out to spread the faith...ramble on bro...cheers from sunny glasgow;)

  • @c1andestino thanks! my grandmother is from dysart :-)

  • great song,great lesson,perfect match!

  • whats the tattoo you have on your arm?

  • This is inasnely great!!!! Thank you so much! Except you failed to add a couple of notes to that tab, while still playing it correctly. Nothing a little UltimateGuitar can't help. :)

  • Hey Bobby. Has anybody told you that you rule? You are a great teacher

  • @yooo711 thanks! :-)

  • just broke my High E

  • Thanks so much Bobby! This is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs, and I've been wanting to learn it for quite a while now. Good instruction!

  • great videos dude

  • Nvm my last comment, i misunderstood....sorry "x)

  • Great work Bob, always loved this tune, I think the drugs must have helped with the tunings!! My band is the Glamtastics, give us a look.

    Cheers bud

    John

  • Wow, fantastic, thank you! <3<3

  • gracias!

  • This is so awesome. thank you!!

  • @gamerbri ??????? i do show how to play the song...

  • @BobbyCrispy get a chromatic tuner

  • @BobbyCrispy That guys a MOOK!

  • @gamerbri he did dipstick

  • @gamerbri ken tamplin here..nice job bobby, way back in the day I learned all the chords without the tunings because I only used one guitar live and couldn't take the time to retune from C etc...good stuff bro..

  • @gamerbri well its just easier to play if you know how its supposed to sound. so that why you have to tune your guitar a different way.

  • sounds good. thanks for the tuning method.

  • Great lesson Bobby. I have been playing The Rain Song since I was 16 in standard tuning(as in the book) and it's nearly impossible, I'm 53 now, and at last someone that can show me the proper way. Thanks

I have to point out that there is an error in your tab of this on your web page though. It shows 777 instead of 7O7, and 666 instead of 6O6. I only picked it up cos I am so used to the sound of the song. The one here is correct. Thanks again.

  • OMGURAF*****GLEGENDOMGOMGTHANKYOUSOMUCH!!!!!!!

  • what would you say is harder ... my penis in your butt or your penis in mine ? ;)

  • Why would say is harder..stairway or the rain song?

  • How do u do that type of nice smooth strum that sounds like you strum a 1note between the strums sorry if im confusing to understand

  • Thank you SO much

  • what effects are you using

i can hear some tremolo and i think it's an acoustic sim

  • beautiful song :) i wanted to learn this. thanks.

  • Hey, I totally agree on tuning the guitar yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • Great job. Incredibly accurate.

  • Great lesson Bobby. You make it sound so perfect. This tuning. What are some other songs that use this DGCGCD tuning?

  • Thank you for taking the time to do this!

  • Hi Bobby.....thanks for all your tutorials.....do you think you could post diagrams of the chords to this song.....I have trouble seeing your finger placement in every chord.....chord diagrams would be really helpful and make it a lot easier...thanks...your doing a great job.

  • Nice guitar

  • Bobby, thanks a ton for posting this music, i've learned guitar from you. I love this song. God Bless you, im all day Sunday practicing this now.

  • ok u said to tune the 6th string down and i dont know when its the same as the 4th strung because it always sounds lower

  • You ROCK BOBBY! I LOVE THIS LESSON!!!! THANKS my northern bro!

  • great video though

  • was in full screen and nearly commented on how terrible your tab was, it confused me so much

  • that is a great guitar you got there

great video, this is my favorite song

  • finishes retuning to DGCGCD by ear at about 3:10; starts riff #1 at about 3:43

  • Dude. Thank you so much, I've been attempt to learn this off of numerous tabs, and music. I could never get it down right, never sounded good. This helped alot man, Thank you.

  • great lesson thx!

  • very helpful, thanks a lot !

  • The 2nd tab is a little wrong. But its easy enough to figure out. Thanks for the lesson.

  • Dude I Really Appreciate All Of Your Help....Your Are The Best Teacher Ever On Guitar!!

  • Dude, I gotta give credit where credit is due! Your Awesome. This is the first song I'm learning on the new Gibson Les Paul...Faded Cherry. Just Picked it up today. I'm lovin it. This song sounds good on this fine Guitar!

    Peace Out Bobby...YOU ROCK!

  • yeah dude big ups for doing these teaching vids no doubt it takes a lot of time when you slow things down to a learning speed, and brilliant song choice i love how jim would play around with different tunnings, especially white summer/black mountain side

  • Bob, shouldn't the first two chords be 07070 and 06060?

  • Damit Bobby! Great lesson bro!

    Welcome back! You were missed.

  • Thanks Bobby, Great lesson as usual, allways wanted to learn this Great song,

    Thanks very much

  • Is there a way to tune this using only as tuner?

  • I'm glad you changed your mind about doing lessons. Keep up the good work.

The tabs on the screen are kinda munged up. Is that. Is that a Firefox problem?

  • Awesome man. Thank You.

  • Bobby these videos are amazing but one question why haven't you got a band you're an awesome guitarist and if you have can we here some material of your own?

  • @master18666 ......I get bored of jamming very quickly....I'm very independent, and I like to figure out songs and arrange songs more than playing in a band :-)

  • @BobbyCrispy lol...what a tool you are (^^,)

  • i dont like how u put the tabs i cant read them but nice playing

  • nice, thanks for posting.

  • your too dam good of a guitar instructor to stop.....man its good to see u back with all these vids

  • One love, brother

  • Stop making demands. As he said before, "I am not a juke box". Feel lucky he has lessons for free on here at all. If the song YOU want to learn isn't on his list then go somewhere else or maybe YOU sit down and figure it out for yourself (shocking, I know).

  • excellent, can't wait for the next part. thanks bobby

  • Perfect lesson. Thanks.

  • thanks for uploading this video! helped me alot

  • Once again, you have proven that you are a god.

  • what happen to no more lessons

    GO BOBBY!!!

  • Yay!! Bobby is back!

  • you rock! great tune, great teacher, great lesson!

  • Could you teach us D'yer Mak'er in your next video? Please?

  • just buy a a damn tuner.

  • @butterscotchtele ......what if you don't have a tuner on you?? like the time i went camping a couple of weeks ago, and someone had a guitar there and asked me to play something.....i was able to play "the rain song" because i could tune the guitar by this method....:-)

  • @BobbyCrispy if someone hasn't been playing long enough to know how to tune using this method, chances are they won't have the aural capacity to use the tuning.

  • Great, Bobby. Respect from Russia.

  • Who is that *** one who don't like this???? Hey man!!!

  • wow, i always figured it was 2 guitars

  • Awsome.. thanks Bobby..

  • i knew he'd be back. now he can do more beatles vids yay :-)
