  • Hot Space is such an underrated album... I don't understand why, I love it. Much better than the Miracle or the Works IMO (if there was really a need to compare Queen albums to one another).

  • "Unlike the US leg"... a drramatic oversimplification, Queenfan81. He was in fantastic voice in both Chicago shows, and I'm quite sure those weren't the only ones where he was in fine form. To this day I think this is a strong track, one which translated well to the stage. It's a tough one with all the high notes though, even in this version we hear Roger taking the original melody, and Freddie the lower (octave/harmony).

  • Wow, I wasn't sure if they ever did this live or not, but this is incredible! Thanks so much for sharing, this made my night :D

  • Incredible. This song sound incredible live

  • perfect song for transforming concert hall into steamy bathhouse!

  • An awful song of a great band.

  • this album proved how talented queen was...from classic to dance without compromising the queen sound...there music stood the test of diff era..

  • hot space was great, i dont care what anyone says. Staying power, dancer, body language, under pressure, life is real, put out the fire....immense!

  • @cclarke10able The album shows just how cool Freddie's voice is and that not only were they doing a different type of music for most of the songs they did well as well and showed their way more than a rock band. I sent one of my friends staying power and he said sounds like something from the 90's and I replied no it's 1982. They were so a head of their time.

  • I really love this song! Freddie and Roger sound great on vocals here! It is too bad that there isn't a video recording to go with the amazing audio.

  • if there was ever a queen porno, this would be perfect

  • @amr7037 maybe the song but the album was a good album. Maybe if your not into funk I guess maybe this album isn't for you. Great tour though.

  • @amr7037 ONE OF THEIR BEST IN MY OPINION LOVE HOT SPACE

  • This makes me smile as does everything Queen did. Fucking great performance!

  • 1:23....

    Roger FAIL XD

  • I do love this song (the synth bass line gets me every time!) but it does sound a million times better live!

People give this one a bad name, but it did reach no11 in the US which is no mean feat.

  • Bellissima versione!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Maybe if they studio version were more like this and publicized that the video was the first to be banned off of MTV, then sales would have skyrocketed!

  • What happened?

  • He losts a track of song a bit and sings his part too early. So while Freddie sings 'Give me, yeah...', Roger thinks too far forward ant want to sing a line from further part of the song. 3:21 'I want your boddy..' but soon realises his mistake and stops:)

  • Haha, you have good ears! I always thought he did that to harmonize with Freddie on that line.

    It fits though!

  • barely noticed it

  • I love all the Queen albums but i felt like Queen quickly shifted to a new style on Hot Space, if they slowly drifted towards it they might have had more succes. Hot Space songs sounds better live and more energetic live, Staying Power (Studio) is too slow for a dance track, i have an mp3 player that can make songs go faster and believe me they sound amazing!

  • Queen never had a horrible song. :)

  • @Gregsynth Your here again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Gregsynth I know only one: Fun it (Jazz)

  • Ah come on! It's great for the dance floor!

  • this can be the worst song from queen...but...this version it's awesome =P

  • their dance type of music was always superior live, looking back its hard for me to believe this song was a higher charting song reached number 11 in the us than radio ga ga number 16 and i want to break free number 45 and the rest is history

  • Body Language, STAYING POWER and actually all the HOT SPACE album sound GREAT live... fresh, full of rhythm and fun!!!!

  • @groenhvid I love life is real live and all the others too.

  • Freddie sounds amazing on here....as usual. when doesn't he sound amazing.....

  • When he's not singing! LOL!

  • Did Queen play this song one key lower? Or is the recording a bit slow?

  • sexy body, I want your body, baby you're hot wow i love this song....w i queen

  • Awesome - thank-you for posting - a truly great song and a great performance of it. His voice is indeed in very good form.

  • i like the live version better than the studio version

  • All Hot Space-songs sounded live better than on album. Listen to 'Action This Day'. Could have been a nr. 1 song in the charts if they recorded it on the album like they played it live. On album they reduced the share of Brian's guitar to the minimum, to let it sound more disco than rock. But live Brian's guitar gives the songs the old wellknown 'Queentouch' back. During the European leg of the Hot Spacetour Queen was live at their very best and live Freddie's voice never sounded better.

  • i love this song

  • I take my hat off to Queen for trying out new styles but it didn't work for them, there a rock group through and through. If only they'd left out Dancer and Body Language and recorded Staying Power and Back Chat with real guitar bass and drums then Hot Space would be an amazing album because musicaly its great but it was just recorded badly.

  • Dancer is an awesome song though. I love their disco songs, along with their punk rock, heavy metal, glam rock, ect. ect. songs.

  • true

  • Oh that thought never crosses my mind....; )

  • Sure...like erm....take piano lessons....

    *bats eyes innocently*

  • I'd be willing to lop off my arm for the chance to see this man perform this song....

  • Oh, god...absolutely. I'll bet you could cut the sexual tension in that place with a...knife...

  • awesome - this is as close to the record version as it would get - by the time they reached japan in late 1982 the song would be much more concise and faster

  • Fantastic live version.

  • Yeeaaah Baby! Anything for my Freddie!
