Copying deadmau5??? really.....BEP have been aroubd since about 1988...atban klann look it up. Deamau5 start making music about 95 or 97....officially since 3years ago. And if they do copy anyone, its a time were everyone samples everybodies music if not they colabo. Look at usher, r&b artist and is crossing over to dance like everyone, he even has a song with a spanish singer singing something way off the radar unless u r spanish. REMEBER, REAL MUSICIANS EVOLVE AND EXPLORE.
I wish BEP would go back to their old sound. They're a completely different genre now. Even though they were going to be dropped by their record company, they should've just been in it for the music. They traded being true to themselves for money and fame. If they would just have gone as far as Elephunk with their genre, I would stay with them. Listen to Karma, then Dirty Bit. They've gone so far to being original to copying other artists (deadmau5, I mean). I even liked Hey Mama. Too far.

@yamoo001 i understand autotunes has been around for way longer than tpain. yet imo since he made it more of his way make hit records and profit in commericial rap/r&b/pop, every song now you hear on the radio has gotten into the act. like you said panic has gotten into it even flippin country music is doing it. if you look at the billboard charts most of the hot 100 singles has some form a/ts. its like where the balance in this industry.
@cuzitsnecessary autotune was around before T pain he just made it more popular. Don't blame him for the bad singers. Even Panic! At The Disco has used autotune
@hk9449 trust mate there are still loads of people that respect true hiphop, young and old. It's people with a positive mind and don't get brainwashed into mainstream music who are true people
I don't understand rap music. When there is a cool part, it's generally sampled from a previous, better song. Then why the hell bother listening to it anyway?
I dont get why everyone became so wack....this generation that didnt come up on this ish is all fucked up now im not blaming them but there was so much more positive music coming out when i was younger...its seriously seems like its taken its toll....late teens and early 20 are very shallow and self centered now.....
@skizm22 Wow, that's exactly what I was thinking when I listened to this. :) Hope they grow up looking for ways to get less shallow, and better music ^^
@skizm22 amen! music went down for me around 2003 and i was a junior in HS. i was still stuck on my 90s and first few years of the 00s tunes. people thought i wasnt human because of it. now i see some of these supposed artists coming up now and glad i grew up on music from classic soul, old school r&b/rap, 80s, classic rock and 90s dance/club in my household. no one can sing anymore every1 is on that autotunes garbage, i still want to kick t-pain's ass for introducing it to music, ugh!
@skizm22 lastly, i hate how today's kids and teens think what they are listening to is the fire or da business, no it ain't. it's okay at best or straight sorry ass music, everything sounds the same with no originally or creativity. it's really depressing.
@skizm22 well i don't know if you've noticed but there isn't much original music coming out, neither are movies or books it's mostly all a copy of the past it's all a remix or a comic book made movie or a movie made book wither way not much creativity flowing around
It really is too bad to see these guys pervert themselves and their art with some watered down BULLSHIT and typical whore status... Man when I saw these dudes come out back in the day I was SOOOOOOOO stoked... Now I can't even LOOK at them.
They got tired of heads bobbin while their pockets were bleeding. They have MAD talent. Their production quality has ALWAYS been on a higher level. It upsets me that for these guys to become REALLY PAID they had to tap the status quo (hire a slut). These are the breaks.... break it up break it up BREAK IT UP!
its not that the past is dope and the present is wack. they are smart they moved from true hip hop just like the world did. they are getting more money now then they ever would have if they stayed true to only hiphop. im a bboy and hip hop head and props to them and fergie for moving on and not being stuck underground
@Aggromerchant Do you even know what hip hop is? Sampling is a major component in hip hop, without it it's not the same music. Sampling is the process of taking a piece from a song, movie etc. and CONVERTING/FORMING YOUR OWN MUSIC. Lots of rappers used a Led Zeppelin sample but none of his fans cried about it. Just show some respect.
@FresnoCalisucks cant be bothered looking for his comment but is Aggromerchant trying to say that sampling is shit?! sampling kinda reflects your style, it shows ou are creative in your music. It there to make surre when you hear their music people are like "yh dis is black eye pease"thats what sampling is all about. not you but this guys dont know what he is talking about if thats what he is saying
fuck fergie shes wack! sounds like a dude and shit!...this is when they were black eyed peas!...now they consist of 4 members with only 2 in the spotlight...fuckin ridic!
Primeiro pau brasil. Depois ouro. Já se passaram mais de 500 anos e os gringos continuam a saquear o Brasil. Soube q não pagaram um centavo a Jorge Benjor. Se o Rod Stewart teve q pagar por um trecho de uma música imagina essa chupação...
I hope they've made clear this is a Jorge Ben ripoff?

@ync112307 Hmm... well, you're right about that ... party songs are maybe just the ones that go mainstream.
"Meet me half way" is the only meaningful song today that got mainstream after "where is the love"
And i haven't beet to any of their concerts and i haven't listened to any of their new 'not mainstream' songs so you could be right ...
So i think that they are partly sellouts and partly still good same old BEP

I dont get why everyone became so wack....this generation that didnt come up on this ish is all fucked up now im not blaming them but there was so much more positive music coming out when i was younger...its seriously seems like its taken its toll....late teens and early 20 are very shallow and self centered now.....
skizm22 1 year ago 17

@skizm22 i soooo agreee...what happened....and im 19..its a danm shame what has happened to music...^_^

@skizm22 #1- very well put. couldn't have said it better myself.
secondly, the 5 people that disliked this vid are probably in their late teens/ early 20's...

@skizm22 Still here don't worry, it moved up North.
MartyOs1 10 months ago

This is a rip off of Jorge Ben.
Black Eyed Peas, who I had respected, are scum. If you can't come up with your own melodies, hit the road.
Black Eyed Peas are absolute scum.
Aggromerchant 1 year ago
@Aggromerchant Do you even know what hip hop is? Sampling is a major component in hip hop, without it it's not the same music. Sampling is the process of taking a piece from a song, movie etc. and CONVERTING/FORMING YOUR OWN MUSIC. Lots of rappers used a Led Zeppelin sample but none of his fans cried about it. Just show some respect.

@FresnoCalisucks
I know what hip hop is. And I know what sampling is. I respect the hip hop genre and I've often defended sampling.
Sampling, though, should be the reference to a universally recognizable theme, and not the borrowing of something that is obscure.
Beyond that, in the case of Cinco Minutos, Black Eyed Peas have lifted the whole song structure and not just a riff or melody.
Aggromerchant 1 year ago
@FresnoCalisucks all started in Jamaica !! agree .....
reggaecracker 1 year ago
@FresnoCalisucks AYO! In the words of Rakim "I hook a beat up and convert into Hip Hop form"
But your right Hip Hop isn't really true without the art of sampling! and Led Zeppelin was a group brother man! Jimmy Page was the lead man.
Dottin 11 months ago
@FresnoCalisucks cant be bothered looking for his comment but is Aggromerchant trying to say that sampling is shit?! sampling kinda reflects your style, it shows ou are creative in your music. It there to make surre when you hear their music people are like "yh dis is black eye pease"thats what sampling is all about. not you but this guys dont know what he is talking about if thats what he is saying

Primeiro pau brasil. Depois ouro. Já se passaram mais de 500 anos e os gringos continuam a saquear o Brasil. Soube q não pagaram um centavo a Jorge Benjor. Se o Rod Stewart teve q pagar por um trecho de uma música imagina essa chupação...
