Those breed tests aren't accurate at all. you can send a doberman pinschers DNA and it will say something ridiculous like that too. I think its funny, we can barely distinguish a dog and a wolf by DNA, but they know exactly what breeds of dogs that thing has in it.

In no way this dog has a Collie, a Labrador Retreiver and an Akita mixed in it. Biopet effed up again:-) they only have a limited list of breeds they test for> if your dog's breed is not on the list, then you get a Chow-Akita-Labrador-Collie mix that looks like a terrier. Many dog owners take on pets to fill voids. That is fine, BUT humans can not turn an animal into a human child or lover. Cesar is amazing at helping dog owners to realize what they have done, or are doing that causes their animals to behave badly. We all can use a little more love so give your pet the leadership that they need--it is rewarding. I massage dogs so I have seen what a good relaxing massage can do to help stressed dogs. Please include massages in the well care of your pet.

I don't like Cesar's methods, in most situations at least. Sometimes what he does could be done with only positive reinforcement, not with positive and negative reinforcement. I say, if you can do something positively, why bother doing it negatively?
For the most part I'd rather just use positive reinforcement, but under certain circumstances, there really isn't a choice...
What we see here is fear induced catatonia. Something that has well described in the literature and which serves no purpose to the trainer. A trainer wants the dog to make the right choice. Under a fear stimulus, all choices are taken away. Good going Cesar.
Often what we see is tonic Immobility (see." Scared Stiff”: Catatonia as an Evolutionary-Based Fear Response) and this is what Millan calls calm/submissive.
By any commonly accepted standard, what is depicted in the Riley video (and many others) is abusive. CM views his methods as working because the dog now perceives him as an 'alpha' and 'leader' when all that has actually happened is that the dog sees capitulation as the only means of being able to breathe again and survival.

The different between Cesar and others dog trainer is the way Cesar share his knowledge for free while others dog trainer won’t. Cesar share his free knowledge make the others dog trainer jealous and aggressively criticise Cesar’s methods. I don’t say Cesar’s method is the best because he never said that either. As long he provide me with free knowledge I would like to try and do it, if others dog trainer don’t like Cesar’s method why they have never posted a video to correct Cesar’s methods.

Many dog owners take on pets to fill voids. That is fine, BUT humans can not turn an animal into a human child or lover. Cesar is amazing at helping dog owners to realize what they have done, or are doing that causes their animals to behave badly. We all can use a little more love so give your pet the leadership that they need--it is rewarding. I massage dogs so I have seen what a good relaxing massage can do to help stressed dogs. Please include massages in the well care of your pet.

I don't like Cesar's methods, in most situations at least. Sometimes what he does could be done with only positive reinforcement, not with positive and negative reinforcement. I say, if you can do something positively, why bother doing it negatively?
For the most part I'd rather just use positive reinforcement, but under certain circumstances, there really isn't a choice...

What we see here is fear induced catatonia. Something that has well described in the literature and which serves no purpose to the trainer. A trainer wants the dog to make the right choice. Under a fear stimulus, all choices are taken away. Good going Cesar.

By any commonly accepted standard, what is depicted in the Riley video (and many others) is abusive. CM views his methods as working because the dog now perceives him as an 'alpha' and 'leader' when all that has actually happened is that the dog sees capitulation as the only means of being able to breathe again and survival.

Michael Vicks "Non-trainable" "Incapable of rehabilitation" "Vicous beyond repair", blah blah blah, it goes on. Homeboy here managed to rehabilitate over 2/3's of those dogs, of the others, he sent to havens for pitts, all but 1 of his dogs was rehabilitated and sheltered to be better dogs!! Yeah he sucks!! @NattieChristopher I have seen a dog in pain, the reaction is very different if people just watch dogs at the vets , the ones in real pain, then they will see the difference. I am thankful for Cesar he is the nicest and most genuine person and likes to have the same and your right he does everything for everyone else and doesn't have fancy cars, clothes, home.

@NattieChristopher When we live in a world that taps into our "feeling sorry for things" emotional and natural side of us it makes it hard for some people to differentiate what's right and wrong anymore. Most dogs are highly sensitive to touch and a reaction to touch is not because the dog hurts it's because it's like it's shocking to the dog that the behavior is being stopped, that's why some dogs yelp.

@CalmAssMizPrezidant I have to say I found that rather odd too. But, then realized ADT3 is always looking for a way to knock Cesar. Most of the money Cesar receives from his seminars (after the managers, promoters, etc get their share) goes to his psychology centre to help dogs. To provide them with all their needs. To bring more (who would otherwise be dead) into the pack. He hasn't exactly gone and bought big fancy homes for himself or gone away on lavish holiday. He's ALL for dogs and people.

The different between Cesar and others dog trainer is the way Cesar share his knowledge for free while others dog trainer won’t. Cesar share his free knowledge make the others dog trainer jealous and aggressively criticise Cesar’s methods. I don’t say Cesar’s method is the best because he never said that either. As long he provide me with free knowledge I would like to try and do it, if others dog trainer don’t like Cesar’s method why they have never posted a video to correct Cesar’s methods.

It's too bad there isn't at least one of him in every country. Other trainers and behaviourists can't stand the fact he is as popular or that he freely gives as much advice in every episode.
