during WWII america didn't have special forces until vietnam and they were not trained by the british. Rangers were not trained by the british they had their own schools for that. And delta force didn't come along for a while and even then they recruited from the special forces and they didn't get trained by the s.a.s. This is a misconception people all belive they did by america during WWII had their own schools to train spec ops and th U.K had very little to do with american training.
ummm actually your partially right. during ww2 there was the oss that created SOE's with joint efforts. the OSS also had a UDT that did mainly sdv runs and, boardings. many allies did experiments to research SF. after WW2 OSS, and foreign nations created more indepth sf training for one stop centres
Remember the original WW2 US Rangers & Special Forces were trained by British Commandos. Original Delta Force (Charlie Beckwith) were trained by the SAS. Ex SEAL Richard Marchinko in his first book constantly bigged up his SEALS and UDTs, but admitted the Royal Marine SBS missions & exercises were much harder and brutal than anything they ever did. The Brits pioneered most of what the West has to offer. Remember the Irainian Embassy seige. If anyone can match that then nice one.
232 was my rollback, never could control swallow though. I just got back in the pool again since my DOR almost a decade later, and I still choke. I heard they pushed the age back to 34, is that true, I'm still pissed, I might go back as the old man in......
