What a hoot. Wembly Conference, late 70's. Guilty did so well on Billboard's European chart. But to turn it on its head with Tubular Bells wrapping it up.
I was there at Wembly Conference center when this concert was filmed. The paper aeroplanes came with the concert programme, probobly sounded like a good idea at the time. Fantastic concert fantastic album and nostalgic dvd
I saw this concert twice in a row in The Hague, The Netherlands. He gave two performances on one evening and me and my mother had tickets for the first concert. I was so flabbergasted, I got another ticket for the next show and left my mum standing there. Now who was the sane person??? I went to see Mike in 1981 again in Nijmegen. The last show for me, but his music still lives on.
"You have just heard over an hour and a half of music, an hour of which was my latest album, an epic panarorama of sound, sight, vision. The other half an hour was the first side of my first album, Tubular Bells, without which I couldn't be standing here before you. Now, I beg of you, it's time to BOOGIE!" Mike has a funny sense of humor.
Note: Maddy Prior sure can sing, but she sure can't dance.
I love the final tubular bells reprise

@NorthwardEquinox : if being old means belonging to a decade of huge creativity in art and music, then I am proud to be old ;-)

I'm normally not a fan of disco, but this is great. The funky Tubular Bells part at the end is groovy.

What's with all those paper aeroplanes? Were they encouraged or was the average age of the audience somewhere around nine?
