You absolutely can not shoot FROM any roadway or Vehicle under Iowa law, although you can shoot from the "shoulder" and across a roadway with shot, but not anything that fires a single projectile.
sorry guys im not for poaching.but if i just climbed out of my stand and heading home and see a 10 point or better in a field and my line of fire is in no ones direction im gonna shoot it.Any hunter that says they wouldnt is a liar!!
Let me be the first to DISLIKE this vid. I see no reason that would be wrong given that the shooter had a license and permission to hunt the land. Heck this guy could have been the land owner....
Where I live, if game wardens set up the decoy, it can't be a really big buck because even some respectful hunters can be tempted to shoot if it is a trophy of a lifetime.
@oakland002 Before all the school shootings and stuff started happening When I lived in South Dakota Me and all our friends just Drove around with guns in the back windows even at school But now they dont let us
@oakland002 under Missouri state law there is no prohibition of carrying a loaded rifle or shotgun in your vehicle, but in most cases you're better off carrying with nothing in the chamber. In Missouri, if you are over 21 and legal, you can lawfully carry a loaded, concealed handgun in the passenger compartment for self defense.
Firearms laws vary by state, but as things go Missouri is far less backward than many other states, such as our rights-denying neighbor, Illinois, or CA, or NY
If it looks like a deer and you bought a licence for the animal then whether it is shot walking or from the vechile it should not matter as long as it is a safe shot. What bugs my ass is when game wardens put decoys far in the bush away from any residential area's baiting people. We are not allowed to bait deer in our back yards because here where i live that is a crime too. I think game wardens should catch the people with no licence or the people who exceed there limits.
@tugz16 Under Missouri law it is illegal to fire a weapon from, or over, a public roadway, regardless of circumstance. You can't shoot a deer from a public roadway anymore than I can drive down I-70 firing rounds out the window.
The law is much different in Iowa, where I have pheasant hunted several times. Under Iowa law you can shoot game from your vehicle and be within the law.
50 states means 50 differing sets of laws, and it is in your best interest to know all laws of the state you reside
Hunters and poachers are the same thing?? DeliberateCruelty this is almost the stupidest thing you've come up with, and thats saying some. Because you are famous for saying stupid things. Let me try and help here--Hunters do things legally, poachers do things that are illegal, and against the law. Now, make sure you're straight, and then get the kid next door to explain this to you. I think its time you got ANOTHER new name. My suggestion would be RunsOnEmotion,or HonestlyStupid, oh so many..
Poachers and hunters are all the same. They both commit hideous brutality on innocent sentient life and find it to be "fun" and "sports". Hunters are poachers , poachers are hunters we do not differentiate.
Tell that to your ancestors. Or better yet, go to the safari and pet one of your wonderful sentient creatures. I'm sure they will teach you about the cycle of life. I would rather have everyone hunting their own food, than to have meat farms setup just to produce meat for the lazy masses.
at least Native Americans used most of the kill, people today tie it to their trucks and drive around town to make themselves feel like men, then they get it stuffed so there daddy will finally love them...
@founder3 Native Americans saw every creature as a brother of this earth. They mourned the death of animals, which is why they used everything, because they had respect. They always went for a quick kill too.
@IAmTheCthulhu Native Americans used every part of the animal because that had to to survive. You can't generalize people as a whole, some natives weren't as tree happy as you might think. We like to romanticize the kill with these people when in reality it was harvesting food.
im a student majoring in wildlife to be a gamewarden one day. you would be amazed at how dumb ppl are... ive seen a dumbass shoot 7 times with 2 guns before the officer stepped out and laughed at him lol
He was shooting a decoy set out probably by the Dept. of Natural Resources. That's who's also filming this. I'm just glad to see someone is doing something about it.
