What the hell, I had quite a big break from this game and today I thought i'll go back to that kick ass game Valkyrie Sky. Just found out the servers completely shut in December 2010 and will not be coming back. What a shame

If you pick summoner you can just sit in one place practically and let your little pet thing kill everything on screen while occasionally dodging the one or two bullets that go your way. It might get better in later difficulties but from lvl 1~15 (all I've tried) you pretty much don't have to do anything. I guess it could be different for other classes, though.

This game is an MMORPG. The combat plays like a top down shooter. You get experience by questing, equipment and can form parties. You can get pets, fish, cook and play music to regenerate others' energy for money. Four different classes each playing very different (Warrrior deflects shots and fights melee, Wizard plays like Panzer Dragoon with multi lockons)

im seriously trying but i cant help but feel like id be wasting my time trying this since i play touhou.

this looks boring compared to that and its not like i can look forward to a great music score or interesting character i can from touhou, and then the grinding.

maybe ill try it after they leave OB,(and i can convince some friends to try it with me), but the way it looks i don't think i could find it as interesting

you ought to try it out, it is unconventional with the different classes and gameplay, not just mainly on shooting the monsters, character skills, stat points, many more variables than a standard shoot 'em up, evasion is of course needed in this game(as of touhou) but there are still many other factors that come into play, it's a pretty good game IMO

i like a lot of different kinds of games, especially with the things you mentioned but the thing about touhou i liked most was the hell i went through figuring out "how am i going to dodge this 1000's of bullets" min a split second, and working my brain till i get a headache

i tried a lil bit, (only the swords man) i hated having to move close to the shooters to get a good score, just to be killed by a random (monster or box) that drops down on you, maybe i should try a shooting class, meh

Interesting MMO, this should be fun to play, probably better for players who want to get better at bullet hell games if this has increasing difficulty at a steady rate.

You can kinda compare it with Touhou, but if you are any good in Touhou, you will fall asleep in VS.

Anyways, RPG + Arcade Shooter, nice combo. Let's see how it will go when the Final releases.

Well it's easy when you actuallly have swordsman in the later stages in your team. If you don't well... i hope you like "bullet hell" games.

You honestly have no idea how glad I am to see this back. I remember playing the last beta and very pleased to see that it's been announced for the 21st!

To the comment below me,as a regular Touhou player (Though not that great) the beta was very enjoyable and most the music was by dBu Music, which added a bit more sweetness to the cake I must say :3

Yeah, really hoped they fixed the problem with lag compensated bullets. As a knight, nothing was better than slamming down a forcefield during a boss fight only to see all 3 of my party members die in a horrible storm of shrapnel. Once second they were there and then they were gone.
