Built for use & abuse by any/all Strat-Slinger's of any ol' shape and size! These pedals RULE when used a set "EMG-SA" or David Gilmour pickups... trust me, this is a "ride" you cannot afford to miss!
Ok, I love fuzz of all sorts and I want suggestions. I like rock and roll from led zep to black keys to hendrix to white stripes so pretty much any type of fuzz im open to. But my main requirement is I want something off the chain, I want something that Is rough around the edges, not smooth and controlled. I want it to sound legit, like the amp actually is broken (without breaking the amp of course haha). Thanks!
Several years ago, I was down at Mike P.s shop picking up a different pedal (Sweet Sound Pro Bender), and I got to try the Peppermint Fuzz (This was just prior to it's release), and it's definitely one of my favorite-sounding germanium fuzzes. Sustained notes/chords have that cool, wavering fade-out that germanium fuzzes are known for, but the PF does it better than anything else I've tried. It has it's own thing going for sure. Not like a Fuzzface at all. More like a Tonebender MKII on acid.
cool demo gmd. Do you have a dark peppermint yet? I just picked one up, it is really cool. Kind like a darker, crazier sunface nkt even the tranies in the dark look like nkt's. It would be cool if you did a demo comparing dark to regular peppermint's.
Sorry to say, the HBE-UFO is going to be my next fuzz. I've tried everything and the UFO nails the Peppermint lead line, Ina-Gadda-Da-Vidda riff, Fuzzface, everything. Still, it won't look as cool as this pedal!
If this pedal is modeled after the fuzz tone on 'Incense and Peppermint', then what it's actually replicating is the fuzz/distortion of a Vox Super Beatle. It's not too far off sounding, IMO.
Who does the song in the beginning... I am just getting in to some of the old surf music, and the type of music heard on Pulp Fiction and Kill BIll, so please let me know.
GMD, you have hella cool straps on both of your demo guitars, clearly a major factor in your delicious guitar tones. Perhaps you should do a video on the often overlooked factor.
I can only dream of this pedal. MAN THAT SOUNDS NICE! Hendrix city all the way. What a musical fuzz pedal, if you dig fu pedals you should try out Fuzzie Bro Pedals, that cat knows how to make a killer fuzz. Probably the only fuzz pedals tha stand up to the big dogs these days.

Yeah, Dan typically uses a sunface, not sure whether it's the nkt275 or bc108... But then again he's claimed that he has around different 100 pedals.

It says on the website that it's delicate to certain power adapters being plugged into pedals around it.
What types and what does that mean exactly?
It sounds wicked cool, but I would be super concerned with f*cking it up.

Can you buy analogman pedals anywhere in Europe? It costs so much to order from the Analogman's website, cuz I live in Finland :(
miikargh 3 years ago
How does this compare to the NKT-275 Sunface?
MaddMan95 3 years ago
A lot more gain and a bit brighter, also more buzzlike on some settings.

maybe the sweetest sounding fuzz on youtube, got to get one so I can see if it is the sweetest sounding one live!

Your sound is very professional! You must know how to tweak those knobs.
