These just arrived and I thought they were extremely difficult to get on, I mean EXTREMELY difficult. Everything pulled apart and laces undone, and I'm pushing and pulling like hell to put these on, WTH? Getting them off was even tougher, my wife was laughing cause I was grunting like I was at the gym trying to pull these damn things off my feet. Thoughts of a chinese finger trap ran through my head with a panic. I even ordered a 1/2 size bigger. Brian slides his foot in easy on the vid WTF?
Would this boot be considered overkill if you're going to be riding on the street most of the time with occasional track day use? I don't want to seem like a try-hard with these boots because they are so damn sexy.
I really ready to buy these boots no questions asked the only issue is I wear a size 13 witch is a 47 euro does you're online store carry the all "White Puma 1000" in a 47/13?

I'm gonna be picking up the Puma Desmo GTX's in black this year. More into the streetbiking. Anyway, point being, Brian, I'm doing 3 months touring all of north america this summer starting in July. Any roads you recommend, tracks to do a track day on, clubs or hang outs that'll welcome a Canadian on a k1300R? Thanks man, great vid.
would you recommend the PUMA 1000 or the SIDI Vertigo? it seems that the PUMA secures your foot and ankle better than the Vertigo but is not well ventilated like the SIDI boots.
why doesnt he mention, that the "ghost doctor" ankle "protector" ends with its side right in the middle of the ankle and will in case of crash lead all the energy right into it.... i really wanted to buy them, until i had them on my feet!!!!!
I love em. They're a good pair of track boots but still comfy enough for street use. They do run a lil big though so be aware of that much. You can't go wrong with it.
would love to be licking those boots puma are so sexy,so if any guy as some and wants me to lick them while hes wearing them of course, love to lick them while you piss on me,or lick cum off them
I'm buying either the sidi vortice or the puma 1000 as my next boots. which one whould you recomend? I currently have the gaerne gs-r which amazingly the pumas u got there look like them from the ankle down. which one do u think is better? I do 75% normal street riding, 20% canyon and mountain pass runs with friends, and 5% track. but I'm going to go to the track and forget about the canyons and mountains, too dangerous imo.
The only thing missing from this otherwise accurate video is that the boots are "very" narrow at the ankle area. If you have a larger ankle whatsoever there is not enough room to place your foot in it. I just found out the hard way. ;) Waiting on a return authorization number from the site(not sportbiketrackgear) I purchased from . Some Sidi's are adjustable for this problem but Alpinestars are made for us with larger ankle areas. I was crushed because I absolutely love the boot.
No, he said very difficult. And I jumped off a 2 story building and landed fine on concrete, and with these boots I'm sure I can survive a 4 story building >_>
people have different feet. some people find this very comfortable, others not. Ive tried these on and find them really comfortable on my feet.
I personally wear the Puma Desmo 800 on a daily basis. to me, they are very comfortable, provide decent protection, and is very good looking and sleek.
This boot specifically is for track/ RACING. this is a Race boot. Typically people wear boot that provide up to shin protection, but AT LEAST ankle protection. most people generally wear something simpler on the street, not as fancy as this one here.
i just have to say, I think this is a great boot. i even crashed in them and they held up great. I crashed in sidi vertigo's as well. these boots, i feel offer more protection than than the sidis. Don't let the sleek looks fool you. The heel protection in these boots are second to none. Put on a pair and you will see. I don't know how they did it. The toe slider is perfectly placed as well. And the boot is super comfortable. Only one complaint. Its bulky on the inside unlike side or A*
I have a pair of these boots as well as the sidi (vertigo and vertigo corsa), I agree that they are a great pair of boots but I wouldn't rate them above the Sidi's.
He didn't go much into the toe protection on the Puma's but I feel that the single biggest deficiency of the Puma's is the protection of the large ball of the big toe, to me it feels rather unprotected.
For total comfort and ease of putting on and taking off Sidi's are definitely ahead.
I feel the joint for the big toe is not a vulnerable area. I have crashed numerous times in many boots and have never suffered an impact in this area. I find many of the boots to be similar to this.
If you look at the Sidi closely you will find they allow the ankle to pronate, only limiting movement in 3 directions. The Puma covers all 4 directions. The ankle system is superior to the Sidi IMO. Sidi is a great boot as well. The truth is there are a lot of great products out there.
do you always promote everything you review? The back of the boot doesn't look to safe to me. Just a thin plate of plastic. I am sick of people in the motorcycle industry. Most of them are only interested in making a few bucks and no real concern for people's safety.
Have you ever seen or worn the Puma 1000? The heel of the boot and the ankle area are very protective. More than most every other boot out there. We do not review anything we would not use ourselves. If we do not like it we simply do not sell it. Look at our site and you will find some of the big name absent.
We have real concern for protection, our own as well as our riders. Look at the effort and product testing we do, more than anyone else IMO.
Absolutely. Not many suppliers have gone to these lengths to inform buyers about the products they sell. To harshly cuss them is just ignorant and immature especially as it concerns the safety of motorcyclists. Great video - keep it up!

I have a rather wide foot and find no issues myself. For street shoes I typically wear Globe or DC as they tend to offer more width.
