Amazing! PLEASE, can you remake it in better quality than kino RIP? It will worth, this video is awesome, so emotive.. Are you watched older Star Trek series/movies?
@themrcuban10 Thanks mate! Yeah, they're fantastic! I actually just bought a ticket for their show here in april. It was only 15 euros! Gonna be awesome!
Music kinda fit but all I kept wondering with the lyrics in respect to the video were "start what again?". I love how you used the best part of this whole movie to focus on, and wish they gave you more to work with. I would've loved for the whole movie to be set before Kirk was born. Good editing though.
@detubeme Hell yeah! I LOVED the start with the Kelvin. Right off the bat, it just felt good! It was a completely different ship and crew, but I instantly just fell into it! I would have quite happily followed a movie this ship. As it stands, what they did later with the film was good, but I think it really was a missed opportunity to go a completely new direction.
Star Trek was a damn good move, not the best, but it was up there. The Kelvin's last stand, however, was the single most powerful scene in all of Star Trek IMO. I don't know how, but you matched the emotion perfectly with this song. Good job, sir.
To be honest, this was my favorite part of the film. The opening was just spectacular! I immediately had to fall in love with the ship and its crew. The rest of the film was certainly decent, but just didn't quite live up to the opening.
Anyway, great video! It was well worth the watch.
@44jeanette44 haha, thank you, it's probably actually the bad quality of the cam that filmed it which was oversaturated. I made this before the dvd came out.
Oh. Well, I noticed the quality itself wasn't as good as it could have been, but I was like, "Those lens flares are all blue. Everything's shiny!" It looks cool, even if it is a mistake.
Absolutely awesome beginning to the movie. The Kelvin though should have exploded before impact. It took an insane amount of damage and the core somehow didn't breach.
@Shadowolf123: In regard to YOUR IGNORANCE as to the Star Trek Universe timeline; "Star Trek: The Next Generation" BEGINS approximately 79 YEARS after the events that take place in the Movie: "Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn"...NOT 200 YEARS LATER!!! S/T Enterprize takes place about 150 years earlier and about 100 years before that, the first warp flight, which is about 60 years after our present day!!! IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THEN STFU!!! (My advice also to ABRAMS!!!)
@Arthurianwarp How about your OUTRAGEOUS USE OF THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON?! I'm sorry, but you type like such an idiot I can't even begin to take your insults seriously. And I really don't care what you think about the latest Star Trek movie. You're obviously an elitist, biggot asshole that doesn't even really deserve to have an opinion about any movie. Now get the fuck out off my video, you dick.
@ShadowWolf123 They were not insults - but FACTS!!! I watched the Moon landing on TV in '69; I GREW UP ON THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK IN THE '70'S! My Unkle retired from The Pentagon, served in the Air Force with Gene Rodenberry, wrote Gene and he paid for our tour of the Nasa exhibit at the Smithsonian, when I was in the US Army, stationed at APG, MD (Nov.1988). So I'm a BIGGOT? I happen to have Irish, French, Rumanian, Jewish, AND NATIVE AMERICAN!!! Does WMG know you're using their music???!!!
@Arthurianwarp Haha, oh god, you're older than 40 then or something? I didn't know old people had a fetish for the caps lock button. I don't really give a damn who your uncle is. Hell, even if Gene Rodenberry himself were your uncle. And it seems you don't know the meaning of the word 'biggot'. It's not per se a racist, but rather someone who's far too convinced that his own opinion is right. Which is you. And now you're going to take your anger out on me by reporting me to the WMG? Oh Please.
@ShadowWolf123 Ok - this is going to be my last comment then I'll leave you alone. You seem to be on here to put out a video with a comment that you knew would infuriate true Star Trek fans - enough said. I am not angry; merely passionate about the Star Trek Ideals and Philosophy, which you don't seem to understand. I was born in Jan 1967, however, the first generation of true Trek fans were the teens and young adults of the late 60's. THOUSANDS more people than I share my opinion; just ask.
@Arthurianwarp I understand where you're coming from somewhere, it's just that I don't think that these kinds of discussions should be held over here. I know there's plenty of Stark Trek fans that dislike the movie. But honestly, I don't really care. After all, I just really like it myself. That's the great thing of having an opinion. I usually don't mind when someone tells me they don't like a movie I like. But I do mind when I get called 'weak-minded' for liking it.
BTW: it is the "WEAK-MINDED", that PREFER the "Mindless Drone" approach to watching movies with GRANDIOS SPECIAL EFFECTS instead of having to pay attention to the dialogue and having to THINK JUST A LITTLE BIT!!! Special Effects are what's called "MIND CANDY", "GLITZ", and "BLING-BLING"!@!! THAT is why McMahonHater implied that you were "WEAK MINDED"... you don't see it, but YOU ARE!!! (At-A-Boy, McMahonHater!!! Kudo's to YOU!!!)
@Shadowolf123: You OBVIOUSLY are a STAR WARS fan, and NOT a Star Trek fan! If you were, you would've been DISCUSTED by the use of OVER-BLOWN SPECIAL EFFECTS! With the Star Wars Saga, what really MADE those original three films WORK was the Use of Special Effects - to which us Trekker/Trekkies have COINED THE PHRAZE: "THE USE OF OUTRAGEOUS SPECIAL EFFECTS IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLOT AND NO STORY LINE." This latest Movie was a GROSS INSULT to Star Trek and her fans and should be boycotted.
Worst Star Trek Movie since the Original The Motion Picture. Only Urban and Banna were any good, and the writer knew NOTHING about what Star Trek is really about. CGI is like a Jedi Mind Trick, it only works on the weak minded.
@McMahonHater Yes, that was kind of the deal wasn't it? We all know that Star Trek had burned out its fuel. Enterprise was cancelled, no more movies planned after the terrible Nemesis. Even if this deviates from what Star Trek once was, if it hadn't been different it would'nt have been made. Like it or not; this movie put Star Trek on the map again. If you really don't like this movie, shut up and don't watch this music video. I'm sure nobody here likes to be called 'weakminded', asshole.
@ShadowWolf123 I don't care what they like. For the record though you video is the best thing thats come out of that crappy movie. Good job, nice choice of song as well.
Very cool music vid. Fits nicely with the music selected.
OT: I just loved the Kelvin in the opening scene, especially its combination of pulse phasers and the traditional beams. Wish they'd done that on the new Enterprise as well.
Start again? NO! There was NO reason to restart this franchise. Especially with a lame ass movie like "JJ Abrams' version of Star Wars using Gene Roddenberry's characters"!
Abrams is a TV producer, NOT a feature film director by any means!
@Imilko The Federation was founded in 2161. The part you see here with the Kelvin plays in 2233, so just over 70 years here. And the rest of the movie, where Kirk is an adult, is about 25 years later.
@Imilko Indeed it was. It's still in early stages compared to what you see in the Next Generation and Voyager, which take place about 200 years later.
The Playstation trumps the Xbox in graphics and processing power. If you look at the processor design, the PS3 uses a more advanced 6 cell processor while the Xbox 360 uses a tri-cell processor. The Xbox can not do 1080p, the PS3 can. The PS3 can play Blue Ray 3D movies, the Xbox 360 cant. Both systems in my opinion are poor quality which goes along with the poor economy. Xbox has the RROD, the PS3 has the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death and it eats whatever disc is in the drive) Go Sony :(
Congratulations. I love Star Trek and this music is spetacular. I make a video using the same music with another scenes (forgive-me for that). You inspired me. Thank´s for that.
Nice, go samsung, they really are ahead of the competition atm. We've just purchased a 46" series 8, and are jumping to that from a 25 year old 48cm National CRT. I was shocked when I saw the difference from Resistance 2 and Halo 3.
I was thinking a Philips personally. It seems to come out best at most tests. And I don't want anything too expensive. 600 euros is about the max I wanna spend. And I'm really going for a ps3. I like it so much more than the 360. It's mostly because the 360 seems to piss itsself and die every few days. From the first release 360's I heard more than 90% got a red ring. That's absurd. I'd rather go with the more trustworthy Sony. Also cause I'm not a fan of Microsoft.
meh, Philips (can't say anything about them except what I've seen for the top Samsungs). Yeah, I know what you mean about the 360 (and I'm as far from a fan of Microsoft as you can get, as I type on my MacBook Pro), but the 360 has got to be the most non-Microsoft product they've made, and the red ring issue was fixed simply by adding another heat sink to the GPU. I've had mine for 2 years now, and it is noisier than the PS3 (but when you're using it, who cares), and stays cooler.
And what really pisses me off about the PS3 in terms of the titles being released (and I personally don't like the controllers as much, not as ergonomic) is that most of them (including Little Big Planet and Resistance 2, which are awesome games btw) don't output 1080p, only 720p. You'd think that wouldn't be the case, wouldn't you. But anyway, the PS3 is still a great buy, although get the previous model to the slim (touch control, looks nicer, can easily upgrade the HDD and put on another OS).
@fpsBeaTt LOL Halo 3 was a huge let down barely this gen graphics wise.

@cpicard2001 lol! fanboy alert! I own both, dude, and I can tell you for a fact, the 360 is a far superior machine for gaming. The PS3 wins out in multimedia only because of the bluray capability. Sure, my 360 red ringed, but was replaced for free. What were you smoking when you played Halo 3? I've played both, and Halo 3 has far better textures and view distance.

Super video. And moment with Kelvin's battle much is class selected. Good punk-rock in combination with Star Trek - splendid .

Great video! Thanks for making a video that wasn't Spock/Uhura-centric. At least SOMEONE caught on this movie was about more. ;)

Hehe thanks. Yeah I honestly can't stand Uhura in this movie. Such a stereotype STRONG WOMAN. So forced. Like women HAVE to be as strong as men today. It's annoying.
