Brava!! Emma, you are absolutely amazing. I watched your other fantastic Chaminade video (when you were 7) and I kept thinking your only limitation was your size, lung capacity specifically. I'm asthmatic and struggle with breathing & long passages so I was immediately drawn to your breathing in that video. Anyway, here you are in this video, 2 years older (and taller) and your performance is even more incredible. I hope to attend a concert or purchase a cd someday... :) Thank you!!

@WorldofGino Yah, it was pretty funny!!! They usually try to do goofy fun things on the show. But the centipede was really tiny - where I live they're big and hairy. But From the Top is really super fun!!! --Emma

Hi, Thanks for watching!!! I practice the runs separate from the rest of the piece. I set the metronome really slow and get them clean. Then click it up a little every day. Let me know how it goes!!!

You are absolutely incredible. I've been playing flute since the 5th grade, because they wouldn't let me when I was younger [they said my hands were too small and my lungs were too small]..but you're so fortunate to be able to play for this long! I can't wait to hear more of your playing...your tone is amazing! I have a Sonare, but the Powell sounds amazing =] Best of luck!

Are they really expensive? you probably wouldnt need an expensive flute cause your so good, I have a Jupiter Capital Edition, expensivish, but you are sooo much better than me. Congrats! Nice playing! When I was in High School I got to play the Chaminade with orchestra. It was a great experience. I also got to do an impromtu performance on a live radio show in NYC called Robert Sherman's The Listening Room. I played the Fauré Fantasie Op. 79 and was interviewed. It was great fun. I look forward to hearing the entire program in September. Hopefully you'll get to play the entire piece unedited.
