    > oh shit son

  • Does changing your TIP voids he turbocharger's warranty ?

  • yeah, keep boosting with your rpms that low...

  • @theused8O1 I dont mean to come off rude but what does it really matter? Superchargers are constantly on boost. I'm just seeking info as to why it is bad....

  • @Camaros5678 I understand his point with the extra load on the engine at lower rpms, but I agree that it's not really that bad. I mean, a turbo is there to boost lol. Yeah it's better to stay in the powerband, but no one's gonna die over it ;).

  • @EmotionalTree the HitachiK04 turbo that is used on the MS3 is not built to sustain boost past a certain rpm, hence, boost is dropped past that target. Whether by wastegate, or throttle plate closing, boost dramatically lowers. And, I notice you're with WRX's, those cars are just fine with load down low. Most if not any blown-engine-MS3 came from high load and low rpms causing the rods to exit stage left. I'm not just making this up.

  • Sounds great, but man... going WOT in 6th gear under 3,000 rpms spells DISASTER.. Don't make a habit of doing that.

  • @mikent256 soo you cant go WOT below 3k, otherwise it might go boom....and you have to shift at 5500 rpm...otherwise it might go boom...oh mazda will you ever build anything with an engine thats not on the verge of blowing itself to pieces? lol

  • @jsmorel86 it's really just not a good idea creating that much load down low in 6th gear with the little turbo trying to stuff 15psi at 2500 rpms in the tallest gear. And shifting at or before 5500 is simply because the turbo cannot continue to build boost past that engine speed. But judging by your response, you already knew that. Yeah, Mazda needs to learn from Ford now, with their stellar EcoBoost setups.

  • @mikent256 wait what!? Doesn't really make sense there bud. Smaller turbos build boost a much lower rpm. You actually should tune in high gears cause thats where the largest load is. And shift before 5500 rpm will put you out of the power, its better to shift just before red line so your back in power. Im pretty sure no where in mazdas owners manual says that you can floor it in 6th.

  • isn't it sad if i write a comment on any video i'm going to get shit for it regardless?

    thumbs up if you agree

  • fail!?, you're info maybe

    mazdaspeedforums "real-reason-people-breaking-rods" thread

    research > you

    awesome car BTW :)

  • FAIL! lol... boosting under 3k RPM?... havent you heard about those shitty rods we have on the 2.3 DISI engines?

  • What Intake and TIP is this?

  • TIP=Turbo Inlet Pipe, correct?

  • hey does anyone one know what is the actual HP the 2010 speed 3 puts out on the dyno with out any mods?

  • @fazedjoker123 edmunds claims 243hp and 265 ft lbs

  • Puts too much load on your engine. 280 torque going to where? Safe bet is to boost after 3k, I never go into boost until I hit 3500 RPM.

  • Word of advice, dont boost under 3k RPM

  • why?

  • Car doesnt have enough load to trigger open loop. Youll be in boost with 14.7 afrs. Engine go boom.

  • its ok in like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and maybe 4th, but in fourth, I wouldnt go much under 2750. 1-3 are ok because it pretty much has no hesitation and jumps up to higher rpms fast

  • sounds like CPE stuff
