yo blake! I never enjoyed running. But I love biking. I rode bike a lot of miles every other day. I figure that is just as good as running for abs. what do you think?
looks like my bmi is 25.8 now, I just joined my local rec center, but not sure how to get started to loose the weight first than tighten it up. Should I just concentrate on Cardio to loose the fat before I work on my abs? thanks.
I would focus mainly on cardio the first 3 weeks and while the number of sets you can do gets up to 5 or 6 sets. start with 3 sets 12 reps then 4 sets 14 reps keeping going until our weight workout also becomes your cardio. thanks best regards blake adams
I understand. I would focus on loosing weight until your happy with your body. I realize it won't be exactly what you want, but remeber it's a process.
If you do have loose skin afterwards, the body will eventually pull it back in somewhat. Rub vitamin E on the area and it will help rejuvinate and restore the elasticity to the skin. I'm always running around between work and playingout sending msg's via utube is the best way. If you would like to send private msg's, you could go through the channel msg board. I usually workout Mon, Tues, wednesday off, thursday friday saturday, sunday is funday I won't hit wieght but pushups, soccer, rock climbing horseback riding is all fare game. I'm builking now so cardio once a week but if i was slimming i would do it 3 days a week little to no wieghts and lots of pushups near a 1000 and lots of pullups in the low hundreds. the key is the shear number of reps and sets. Cardio weight lifting like push ups, pull ups, and situps mainly builds the muscle up mostly. However they also burn fat just not as much as say jogging, swimming, or jumping rope. Fat never really turns into muscle. Generally, big boned people have large muscle tissue under the fat that has developed throughout life as the body adapted to the extra weight. In other words if you loose weight via jogging, you'll be suprised how big your muscles already are.
I would direct most of my energy to loosing weight at first. Basically, run for the first 30/45 min and then hit the weights or try some basic push-ups. On days that your legs are too sore to jog work with wieghts on the upper body. If you belong to a gym checkout some of the cardio programs they offer. I had a power pump class that was great! Diet wise stay away from sugar drinks, like cola. I really enjoy smoothies. I put everything in a blender fruit/ice smoothies are a classic meal replacement. Try some soy protien shakes too. I love choclate, throw in a bannana, a cube of ice and walla! If you can follow my program It's really a well rounded system. If wieght is your major concern, nothing beats jogging. Jog to a nice spot and stretch.
Jog for atleast 30 min, try for an hour. Even if you have to power walk at the end. I would try and do this everyday for fast results. However if your legs get sore, take a break. YES! It lowers your BMI and makes the abs easier to see. Running is the best way for the last set of abs to shine. thanks blake

oh ok, im 16 and between 87-91 kg, how long would it take to loss weight? cause i'm jogging almost everyday and watching what im eating.
