One of the best interpretations of the Chaconne in my opinion. Sarah Chang plays it too romantic a style, Heifetz's is a little too cold and fast for my taste. Love this piece.
While I do love Oistrakh's rendition (the first I ever got; there's much sentimental value here for me as well as musical value), I don't think Heifetz's can be compared to it. For me, it pushes a whole different set of buttons.

Nice touch with the factory overalls.Glad it wasn`t a food factory with a blue hairnet. The playing is pure nectar.

A perfect intermediate between Chang and Heifetz.
