  • Awesome stuff!!!!!

  • This is great. I cant believe that I have never heard it before.

  • This is the original version and Elvis' version the following year was heavily influenced by the lead singers rendition (Elvis recorded this song on 5 separate occasions). The Sax solo was also replaced by Scotty Moore's guitar on the respective waxings. The Eagles formed in about 1950, out of Washington D.C.

  • RCA also had Eddie Fontaine to record this song while he was under contract to their "X" label. My guess is they didnt release after they decided to put out El´s version. It was also recorded by Johnny Carroll on Decca.

  • My favorite Elvis trivia question is "Can you name the Elvis cover originally recorded by The Eagles?" Unfourtunately, no-one I know can answer it, because they keep thinking about those other Eagles. Listening to this original, I can hear where Elvis got a lot of his influence from.....

  • You just keep bringing more and more music into my life. Many thanks (the muscle liked it too).

  • Good version , but Elvis has the better version, his is much more bluesier.

  • Hey thanks for uploading. Do you have the original versions of "My Happiness" "Heartaches Begin" "It wouldnt be the same without you" or "I'll never stand in your way" ? Elvis Presley later recorded these on acetates.

  • 5*****gem.better than the Presley version.

  • @brian4858 anyone got any idea who was in this group...I was once told that was a King Curtis Sax lick?

  • I love this song!!! Elvis did it later, but this is much better!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • @JJHammer ...agreed....a rather under rated tune. It's simple but easy on the ears.
