@RBlovesKOP Well, I think you could say that he WAS kinde of PART fashion model. He's a pretty good example of what I believe they call a "renaisance" guy in fact .
Thank you. You've done a very professional showcase, delivering a great series of chronological moments of the film, encapsulating the entire movie set to an appropriate piece of somber, yet mysteriously hopeful music. The weight of the moment is revealed, Bowie at his best, captured in the role of a lifetime. After all these years, we can realize how fortunate we are to have these images derived from one work of art, and here delivered on a new canvas that gives respectful homage to the artist.
I always thought the church scene was so interesting because you can here him "try" to sing...XD David Bowie is one of my fav. actors/singers ever!! :)
I was so caught up in this collection of scenes delivered in such a tasteful way that I almost forgot to thank you for the fine assemblage. Absolutely superior blend of montage and mood. An experience that can only underscore the brilliance of the subject. Bravo and encore! I would enjoy to hear more of your own views on the film. Scenes remembered come alive on each viewing. The dramatic music emphasizes the increasing importance of the movie as time passes. Like dark energy accelerating apart.
When Tommy says, "I can't go to church with you" due to the fact that his mission, though given some latitude of behavior like watching television or having a companion while he collects enough money to launch a return ship, will not allow him to easily, in conscience, contaminate his presence and own beliefs in another people's sacred ceremonies. Despite Mary-Lou's insistance, "You won't feel out of place," nothing further could be true. We can even see ourselves in that situation. Let me out!!
To me, when I first saw this, the scariest picture frame was at 1:38 when, as you recall, Tommy was coerced into going to church by his mistress/girlfriend Mary-Lou.
His terror of not only of not knowing the words to the famous old English hymn from his supposed country of origin thus adding to the evidence supporting the fact that he's not actually from earth at all, but is, indeed an alien, and blowing his cover, but something else: the respect for earth's religious sanctity which he invades.
his performance in the movie is so subtle ... his silence, his posture and his eyes speak more than a thousand words... just magnificent...what an actor and a complete artist
I wish they would have use the music Bowie created for the movie. Low is one of my favourite albums .
I love the colour of Newton's hair, specially in the pictures where you can see the blue sky. It's a great contrast. In the book says it's white but this looks much better for the screen.
This is so beautiful and so moving, you really did a wonderful job. It's a pleasure to watch, and the music just gives me chills. Thank you so much. I just love David Bowie, there's truly no one else like him. Good to meet you Lambrini, Carol.
Apparently the music that Bowie was working on for the movie ended up on "Low." The producers didn't have the money to pay Bowie what he wanted.
He should have contributed the soundtrack for artistic posterity, in my opinion. As Roeg said concerning the film, "I am not interested in the triumph of the immediate."
What incredible beauty. There are pictures, of course ... and music. But the marriage of two born hallucinant something mystical beauty. Thank you for the amazing sensitivity you doing proof. Thank you David for showing us this wonderful way ... it is very moving, very touching. It is obvious that you love this man who fell to earth. Thank you very much. I'm speechless
i couldn't agree with you more my friend! David was once one of the most handsome men to ever grace this planet! he has 'matured' over the years but he will always and forever be our beautiful boy! :-)
I agree David Bowie is one of the most beautifulist man on the planet, his charm, talent and charisma, is irristable, and u can't help not to feel anything for him when he is performing! God bless, him!^-^
i'm glad you like it :-) i took your advice and used an instrumental, as for the pictures you are limited to what you can find on the internet, fortunately i managed to find some really nice ones :-)
The movie looks dated except for David Bowie himself. He looks like someone that was transplanted from the future. No joke.

Belles images... et rares non ? elles sont tirées de films dans lesquels Bowie aurait joué ?

un seul film : The man who fell to earth. Ce montage est magnifique parce qu'il reprend l'histoire du film ... dans la forme et dans le fond.
c'était pour la petite info. Salut alex.
