  • Thank you finally a video that shows all the ingredients!!

  • I also worked at a Starbucks and I have no idea why other people are giving you such a hard time! You made it at home, on a cheap machine that you can't time the shots on. Your milk was to YOUR liking and even if you didn't stir the chocolate, Starbucks employees aren't supposed to unless they are asked to! Keep on doing what you do. Forget everyone else.

  • the machine alone will cost more than one mocha from starbucks .. yayyy.

  • @lowcostvideos While I realize this is for novices, you shouldn't give false information. Timing a shot is as easy as using a second hand on a watch. Just stop the brew process when you reach the appropriate time.

  • Very cool video. Please post more!

  • hey this looks soo yummy! i faved it:) but i have a capuccino/espresso maker and i cant get my mocha lattes to taste right. whats your coffee to water amount ratio when brewing the espresso? thanks!! oh yeah and about how long do you steam the milk because i dont have a thermometer.

  • ...and that is why starbucks can't make good coffee...

  • How do you make a good shot with a cheaper espresso machine if you can't time the shots? any suggestions/tips?

  • yum yum yum delicious!

  • The music sounded like he was curing cancer or something...

I'mma go make me a mocha now.

  • Why does it seem like only people who know everything about coffee watch entry level how-to videos? Hmmm.

  • @lowcostvideos long overdue message....don't worry about these comments. People love to hate others who can do it better. I love at the end how loud music came and shot on the cup was timed, it looked like you took a lot of pride in making that cup : ) Good video w/ editing lol. Thanks for teaching us! I just started college and needed something like this...

  • I'm not even going to comment on what was done wrongly here - I'll give myself high blood pressure.

  • Didnt time the shots ... shots are meant to be 18-23 secs, didn't stir the coffee and chocolate, milk was shit

  • @Vzer01 Can't time shots on a cheap machine, DID stir the coffee and chocolate, and your insight is shit.

  • @lowcostvideos don't listen to that nerd. at least you made the effort and it looks good.

  • @lowcostvideos Did you watch your own video? You poured the shots over the chocolate and immediately dumped in the milk. Note: This can also be read as YOU DIDN'T STIR THE MOCHA/ESPRESSO.

And, yes, you can time shots on a "cheap" machine. Timing shots involves adjusting the grind of the coffee itself, which is something Starbucks wouldn't have taught you since you guys work on superautomatic machines.

  • @Vzer01 thats right

  • Italian Roast

  • hey what is a good bean for espresso from starbucks: espresso roast, french, italian, sumatra

    and how bout from millstone?

  • Guatemala, Columbia, and Komodo Dragon are my favorites. Don't know about Millstone.

  • wait isnt that you using millstone in the video

  • wow get a nespresso machine :)

  • No way ! Chocolate syrup is not the way to go.You need a bitter sweet chocolate you Phillistine

  • Does Starbucks use Hershey's Chocolate? I need better chocolate than that I think, better coffee too. I used Maxwell house today, Yuck!

  • The Hershey's is fine but for really good espresso try Starcucks Guatemala blend.

  • Cool thanks, but what do they use for choc. or is that a trade secret:?:)

  • It's a powder mixed with water - you can probably find it on ebay ;)

  • omg

    please learn how to tamp

    ur portafilter first

    before u make a movie

    did u time the shot

    u never mentioned the temp

  • OMG, a starbucks moca lattea whatever, did you have to spit in it to make it like they make it at starbucks?

    haters

    yes i hate starbucks

    GO DAZBOG!!!!!!!

  • i had my very first mocha today and i loved it ;D

  • when u say steam the milk, can we just use regular cream?

how do u steam milk if u dont have one of those "special" coffee machines? do we just boil the milk or what?

  • If you want to you can use half and half, that is called "Breve". I used regular 2%.

If you don't have that machine you can microwave the milk, don't boil it because then it will have a burned taste.

  • thanks :D
