  • China!!

  • Taiwan use traditinal Chinese, which is dying out. Manland China use simplified Chinese, which is used by more and more people around the world.

Don't waste you life time to learn tradtional Chinese in Taiwan. Learn real Chinese in China.

  • @caomeidi That's nonsense. Traditional Chinese is the root of Chinese. I wouldn't consider that a waste of time. I would recommend people to learn both systems.

Also, you gotta take in consideration that, there are many people interested in learning classical Chinese. Simplified Chinese isn't used when learning that. Therefore, technically traditional Chinese is ''real Chinese' Thanks for commenting and viewing.

  • @laoshu505000 Mainly Taiwanese use traditinal Chinese in the small island. Some old Hongkong people may only know traditional Chinese. If any foreigners want to do business with China, travel in China, experience modern China, they *MUST* learn simplified Chinese. Actually simplified Chinese is also the official language in Singapour. Majority of the oversea Chinese people also use similified Chinese. Please stop misleading innocent foreigner people who really want to learn Chinese.

  • @caomeidi Thanks for commenting.

  • @caomeidi I think for a foreigner learning Simplified Chinese is faster, but the people who learn Simplified Chinese cannot read Traditional Chinese. Because they don't understand the root of it. And accent is not a problem, Taiwanese can communicate with Chinese. Up to you, they both have advantages and disadvantages. I'm a international student from Taiwan in America :) Hopefully, it's useful.

  • @caomeidi perhaps, you get it wrong. simplified Chinese is used in Mainland China and in Singapore I granted you, but oversea Chinese in elsewhere around the world are using Traditional Chinese including Hong Kong, Macau or you can say Simplified Chinese is mostly used in the mainland and singapore.

  • @laoshu505000 Actually Taiwanese government starts to adopt Communist China's Pin Yin. I will not be surpise more and more simplified Chinese characters will appear in Taiwan because Chinese Mainlanders are coming with huge scale.

You can hate Chinese, but you can not hate MONEY.

  • @caomeidi When the "queen 后" becomes the "behind 後" and is also "thick 厚", when the "face 面" becomes "noodle 麵", and when "need 須" becomes "beard 鬚", THEY MUST HAVE COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS CONJURING UP the simplified Chinese. It was an insult to the intelligence of the Chinese peasants originally intended. It is NOW an insult to any one who uses it.

  • @caomeidi To put it into perspective, simplified Chinese is equivalent to spelling “to”, “too”, and “two” all using “to”, and “enough” using “inuf” in English. Should there even be an argument? Simplified Chinese is complete rubbish, debasing to any one using it, and certainly an insult to its intended reader.

  • i am a chinese from china, and i believe no matter where you learn your chinese(china or taiwan) makes no big difference, china is definitely cheaper, and you can explore to other part china then you will find out their dialect! and some people say that taiwan is more friendly than china, well in my opinion it depends on where and how you meet the people.if you trying be an ass i dont think you will be welcome anywhere.(including taiwan)

  • i am in chinamainland i can use facebook and youtube,so who said in china can't use was nonsense, and mainland chinese is formal ,taiwan is apart of china, but have different parties speak have regional accent,so come to mainland to learn you chinese and u can know more chinese cultures and some u can see ,because The western media always blackened China

  • @zuohuaxue

Learning Mandarin in China or in Taiwan has nothing to do with your political viewpoint about which is a part of which.

  • @zuohuaxue u r fucking urself? that's amazing haha.. Man... U r deluded... China has been banning facebook and youtube for years, the reason why u r here to rant is because of the illegal proxy server that u used to bypass your great china firewall.. please don't live in the well and assume the world is as narrow as your seen. The degree of brainwashing in China is amazing, always fun to watch, keep on going man

  • @zuohuaxue Hahah, it's the biggest joke i've ever heard this year! "Taiwan is a part of china"??? Man, what are you talking about?? Taiwan has its own law, government, flag, and anthem! Even most countries recognise Taiwan is an independent country! I cant see any point you could acclaim Taiwan is part of China! Dont be foolish please, will you? I thought you are not in China right now so thats why you can use facebook and youtube. I've been there three times so I know it very well!!

  • taiwan is a part of china。ok ,come to mainland to learn chinese must be better, taiwanese come to mainland can speak beijing language, but u may can't ,if u learned in taiwan

  • China accent is like British, Taiwan is like Amarican English

China accent is more correct, formal. But Taiwanese sound more cute in some sense, but most people speak with Hokkien accent.

  • that is something personal, do you feel better in a commmunist country or democracy. And i guess if you in china you will not be able to see that video becaus they forbid you to see youtube and see the real news hehe. greetings from a western in taiwan

  • The relativ atom mass is to handel with (g/mol=x*10^-36) for the exactly molecularmass and so the exactly ratio.

Example: The molecular mass divide by the number of atoms and then to ratiomasses you want.

    Peace must be!

  • Which program would you recommend for a beginner: CLD (NTU) vs MTC (NTTU) vs MLC (CCU) vs ICLP?

  • @knuddel123 I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with those programs actually.

  • Stay in Taiwan, believe me!

  • @Sp3ll633 haha! Why do you say that?

  • @laoshu505000 Because if you can read the traditional one you easily can read the simplified chinese. Plus the people are more friendly and more open than those in China. Aaaand you can use Facebook in Taiwan which u cannot in china =D. Taiwanese accent is more, sharp and without tounge rolling, which is a lil bit cooler =) In my opinion, but its up to you. BTW are you basketball playeR?

  • @Sp3ll633 I see. No, I don't play basketball.

  • @Sp3ll633 i am in china mainland i can use facebook and youtube ,so many people away nonsense.mainland may better place to learn chinese ,chinese taiwan chinese accent like the american State of Texas english accent,so you come to mailand better than taiwan,

  • @laoshu505000 Do you know what the difference between mandarin and wu is? All I know about wu is that it is spoken in shanghai... Would someone from Beijing understand someone from shanghai?

  • by the way , no 1 like chinese accent including chinese...

  • @AiMeiNeko 歡迎來台灣 ! Welcome to Republic of TAIWAN !

  • OF COURSE BEIJING. very decent accent no matter for woman or man.

As most of mainland Chinese said, if a man have a taiwan accent, this man looks like a woman... i mean feminize.

I have no any racial sense. I just tell you the reality.

By the way, if you live in beijing you will like it.

  • @evawei Yea, I hope to go to Beijing one of these days.

  • beijing

  • Hokkien and so call Taiwanese is the same language the Taiwanese people want to claim it as their own language so can distance themselves from the dialect from China. I speak Hokkien and I can tell you beside some regional slang and some difference in accent the language is the same word for word.

  • taiwanese and hokkien are not that different. in fact, i speak hokkien and i can have a conversation with someone who's speaking taiwanese. only differences are some tones and some vocabulary.

  • I will share things that native Mandarin speakers may notice:

    1. Since the TW stars are very popular in China. TW accent sounds more "fationable" among young ppl. CN accent sounds more "literate"?, but at the same time old fationed?

    2. Taiwanese accent is flat and soft, so some Mainland Chinese dislike TW males'' accent, which sounds "sisy", but they like Taiwanese girls' accent.

    3. If you don't live in Beijing area, you will hear other languages or dialects on daily basis.

  • taiwanese speakers are less marketable.

learn beijing dialect. it will impress and get you a long way with chinese.

  • I prefer to learn in Taiwan since I can study traditional writing. If you learn in China you won't be exposed to traditional writing and that is what you will need to read news papers, history books etc...

  • its kinda strange to see you without your Iconic hat! Ha!

where do you think would be a good place to learn Mandarin? Beijing?

I would like to live in china eventually for like a year to get to a good level in Chinese.

  • @Codylangaugesblog I think either place would be good places to study.

  • @laoshu505000 what was the second language you learned>?

  • @payaprice3 It was Japanese

  • i think the biggest difference is that china now is using simplified characters and taiwan is still using traditional ones(more complicated ones)

  • Definitely Taiwan! Better living environment.

  • Taiwan accent is more flat. The noticable difference for most is Sh, ch, Zh in Taiwan is said s, ch (less tongue curl), and z...they also have cooler sounding swear words :P.. thats the first difference i noticed initially ;)

  • Tough call, both sides have lost some elements of classic Chinese. I like the traditional Chinese script better, but Taiwanese pronunciation & lexicon is not so apealing.

  • How different is the Taiwanese accent to the mainland China accent? Is it similar to the difference between the American English accent and the English English accent?

  • It's a lot more different than the way they speak in China. When I first met my wife, I had a hard time trying to get used to the way she speaks because of the way they pronounce certain words. I guess you could probably say it's like comparing American English with British English.

  • DAMN

  • When you say you learn chineese I assume your talking about manderin and not cantonese?

Manderin is said to be the most difficult languages to learn for an English speaker so you deserve some real respect for talking that on.

All I can manage is about 4 phrases :D

    Peace

  • I'm talking about Mandarin

  • @brutalviolent

What a stupid, mean comment. How people racially look has absolutely no importance at all. Moses's children will be beautiful people with good hearts and so much talent because of both him and his wife.

And you can just go hide yourself with your premature, ugly language.

  • @LCentauri

    It's ok sasa...hakuna matata..lol

  • @LCentauri fuck u ,bitch

  • @zuohuaxue fuck u slut 、 whore .....

  • What are some differences between Mainland and Taiwan mandarin? Different words, pronunciations, etc.

  • 那个howling noise in the background是什么?

  • Hehe, the winds were blowing hard that night.
