The ancient macedonians spoke a doric dialect with thracian and illyrian elements. The word Μακενδων(first form of macedon) is written and pronounced Μηκενδων in the attic dialect, since the η of the attic dialect is conversed to α in the Doric dialect. Μηκενδων is related to the word μηκος(length) and it means tall man. I see no relation between the ancient macedonians and you.
