  • Those who criticize this video are clueless morons. Crumb is a lover of old music, and this intimate performance is his way of keeping that music alive.

  • Crumb, my ma, you musical geniousity knows no bounds! bonds? beans? bones? Well it's gone, but you don't worry, cause your're sittin' on top of the world. Yas yas yas.

  • Well that's a nutty ting rite dar..!

The comments through me fer a looop but me I's nots so bright a star to begin with.

I saw r. crumb, and I thought of the crumb stuff I jeest scanned from a short "Bring me your love" by Twokowskiing. er Bukowski thats it. Good writer that feller ya know!

lol but i didn't know he played the guitar. As for the references in these comments wow, crazy stuff!

  • Any honest blues lover should read Amari Baraka's classic, "Blues People" which was written under his former name, Leroi Jones.

Then maybe one would better understand the critisms written above.

  • Faux Macho white boy . . .

  • as usual i love it..but confess i have no clue who crumb is<hangs head in shame.i need some edukation

  • I am just catching-up on all the Robert Crumb videos here. Thanks for posting this one - its a keeper....

  • Wow, maybe Crumb could take Keith Richard's place in the Stones.

  • Heh well I really don't think Crumb would want to be associated with the Stones,

Let's just say he has incompatable differences

    with their music.

  • It was a joke. Crumb rightfully mocked the Stones for being the posers they always have been. That's why it is suprising to see him pose as a "bluesman" here.

  • You're right, he does. The Stones asked him to do a cover for one of their album in the sixties or seventies for a bunch of money and he said "no" because he thought they were macho, vapid, and annoying.

  • I missed that performance, I think Josh did a solo gig later on in a smaller room, while promoting the paperback version of Tales Of Times Square and Warts and All

  • if you buy the Robert Crumb Handbook, theres a CD with it, that contains 20 tracks. Plus, it´s a grat book.

  • i had no idea that robert crumb was a guitarist, love his heroes of blues, jazz & country book

  • he plays tenor banjo and mandolin mostly. his 70s stringband the cheap suit serenaders recorded three albums and a 78, check it out!

  • yeah great stuff! bob brozman participated and there's a guy on singing saw etc etc. great!

  • me either! you learn something new every day! far out!
