Simple, he was the first one. He brought wrestling to a whole other level with his intensity, power and bigger than nature personality. He has been able to get the crowds off their chairs for every single wrestling move he would execute because he knew how to hype them. Before Hulk Hogan, the wrestlers would rarely have gimmicks. I am not a Hulk Hogan fan ( i have always prefered Macho Man Randy Savage at the time ), but still, I have respect for the guy. He ruined his body for us.
