  • ''an old school. American muscle''

  • I HOPE you Are Restoring It

  • Are open headers illegal on the street?

  • @ThePeruvianSky no they're too loud, so are dual straight pipes, but I haven't been pulled over yet, so...

  • sir your car is missing some parts hahah

  • nice i have a 74 challenger its ok it has a 440cu/in, Auto, 8-3/4 rear end. just need to fix the rust and get new seats sitting on a old jeep seat right now thats not bolted down, i cant do any think untill i finish my 1 and a half years of high school hope to getting it ready soon

  • I'm astonished you're even in high school with English like that..

  • it depends on were his from, y do people assume that, cos they type english theyre from america?

  • Yea, it could be a little longer than a year and a half at this rate...

  • come on man fix that thing up so you can get all the girls with it, everyone at my school drive shit boxes. I have a 1978 Dodge Lil Red Express with a 440 going in it and it needs work too, i'm tellin you once you have that thing on the road youll get so much respect.

  • I think ive seen your car, do you live in belton missouri?

  • nice car too bad my dad racked 2 72' &74' doge chargers but my mom ruind the 74 360 4-berral headers and etc. but i whant to restor the 1970 doge challanger i have a 440 for it but my dad took the 440 apart any advise on where to start?

ps no wheels no shooks and a hole in the floor borad and the interier is ng

  • dude get a 360 stroked 408. great hp, cheaper and your car will handle so much better unless you only want to go in a straight line

  • how hard will it be to find a 360?

  • I never thought about looking for another 360. Shouldent be too hard. If you already have the trany for the 440 keep it. Good place to look for a good 440 would be in a old RV. They from what I have herd have stronger internals.

  • forged not cast but your right. old rvs or old busses, work trucks from back in the day

  • nice challenger Im a Dodge kinda guy. I like the 360 but my fav. is the 318. Does that 360 you have have a 4-barrel or the 2-barrel?

  • its a 360 four barrel.

  • why do you like the 318, there smaller and don't have as much power

  • they're durable and probably a little easier to get parts for

  • high revin' small block man!

  • 318 are one of the best for racing cause they can hit high rpms and with a little head work and a nice cam you can get 500 - 600 hp out of them, sometimes size doesn't matter.

  • @DimeZakkEVH 500 to 600 horse power with just a cam. bullshit!!!! you would have to change much more to get that much power out of a 318. A cam aftermarket cam only adds about 20-35 hp if your lucky and a stock 318 has about 225hp. so don't bullshit me

  • @AmericanBadAss414 for the engine to be able to handle that power it's got to have reforged pistons, connecting rods, and the list will go on for a while so I'll save you a bunch of gearhead babble. If A 318 gets 600 hp out of port polishing and a cam only then I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A YOUTUBE VIDEO ON IT, wouldn't you? perhaps some dyno testing as well so we can laugh and see it would only take that bitch to about 280 give or take. he would have to do some crazy amount of work to get even 500 hp.

  • i dont like those taillights at all. and i know its prolly in the restoration stage but change the color and chrome the bumpers and then we have a nice challenger

  • it aint your car dont worry about it.

  • mr smoke jeje

  • american muscle....i gotn a meer 83 lesabre plan on dropping a 78 Vette Motor in Though....Then Ill put a vid up right now i got vids with the standard 307 olds....

  • FYI...You have a 1972 Dodge Challenger. They did not start making the Challenger again till the 80's but lost the look & muscle.

  • FYI you are very incorrect. Dodge stoped making the challengers in 1974. And this is the 73-74 model, if you knew much about the challenger you would notice this from the divided tail lights. Nice try though!

  • sorry... that was at wls89 below... i thought i had hit reply under his name...

  • The tail lights are the same on all 72-74.

The 70-72 got the same bumpers, which means you can tell the difference between a 72 and the 73-74 by the different bumperettes, provdided that they're all stock of course. ;-)

    -72 Chally owner.

  • "provdided that they're all stock of course" ... do you cringe too when you see challengers with the wrong hood, bumpers, or T/A stripes on the wrong years? Drives me nuts...

    -74 Chally Rallye owner

  • The bumpers doesn't really bother me, I can understand that owners of 73-74 models would like to be without those huge bumper guards.

Looks a bit off with a T/A or AAR hood on the other years. Same with Shakers and stripes on wrong years.

  • But when all is said and done, I don't really mind. If it makes the owners happy, no prob. I won't do it, but that's me.

I could actually consider a T/A hood on mine, but I like my R/T hood better.

    Yeah, mine's a Rallye too. ;-)

PS: Are you a member of cuda-challenger dot com?

    If not, drop by!

  • sounds a little too smooth.. but cool nonetheless

  • Cmon, thing is amazin.

  • how about no the environment sucks

  • shut up you crunchy bastard

  • hug a tree asshole

  • If you ever ride in one of these you'll understand

  • Muscle Cars are not destroying the environment near as much as your yugos. There's just not enough of them left to make a dent anymore, but there's an assload of yugo's cluttering up junkyards because smart lorry operaters are putting them out of their misery. Stop being a tree-hugging, performance-killing twatbag and go back to Hashbury.

  • hell ya man!!!hell yaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

  • as long as its american, and muscle makes it even better, im happy to ride by you.

  • beautiful car with a sweet sounding engine! Mopar all the way! Celticsteltz, why would you even say that. go post somewhere else.

  • im thinking of buying a honda

  • lol

  • haha funny joke

  • american mussal all the way

  • learn how to spell

  • American muscle has nothing to do with this car sounding awesome... pretty much any V8 has that sound with open headers :)

  • Read what he's saying. You're a dumbass. He's not saying it sounds better because it is American muscle, he's saying he prefers them.

  • lol dont care

  • hell ya turn it up sounds good !

  • Whats in that thing? badass!

  • 360

  • sick
