Wow! This is the only performance I've heard that equals Richter/Kondrashin, and I actually prefer it! The playing is superb, and the conducting is the perfect match!

I had an great technica, he used to touch 12 notes with just one hand at the same time. The best pianist EVER.

one of my old favorite pianists!! grew up on his recordings and still have not forgotten how his playing enriched my musical growth. people should listen to his Rachmaninoff Paganini Variations... til today the BEST i have ever heard, including the composer's own version.
