well well i got so frustrated with my x10 that i sent it near the edge of space! (100,000ft) NO JOKE!

its somewhere in a forrest, i have the gps co-ordinates for its location. it was used as a gps tracker since it had a better reciever.

@ajeyjay Not all the X10's can be updated to Gingerbread. I'd suggest you to download the latest version of the PC Companion. If you get the message "your phone is up to date" then it means your phone cannot be updated to Gingerbread. -Josh

It's sad how SE seems forgetting their 1st android device, x10. Until today there are no plans in updating our OS to 2.3.4 while when they announced it in public they've called it "latest update for xperia". X10i is also an XPERIA so don't forget us x10 users!!! Some of us are SE users since the start so you owe as some attention.

@ClosetLebanese well what i did is to download the official 2.3.3 firmware of my phone company, and i used flashtool to update it. look for guides on the internet, and do the steps carefully.

Yes, this has always been possible on Android, long before Apple got around to implementing it. The system will automatically close things you're not using when it needs to free up resources, but otherwise keeps them running in the background. (And the state of the application will be saved automatically and transparently when it's closed, just like on the iPhone.)

@ftly43 Galaxy S is really good much faster, HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola Atrix. The Xperia Arc is also much better than the Xperia x10. Do some research look at which ones you like most and have had the least problems. You can also look at the Iphone or Blackberry Torch. hope this helped :)

Thank you very much for this 2.3.3 firmware. Together with flash 10.3, i find myself surfing more using x10 instead of my mac mini !!

However, battery life still not that good. Would be good to incorporate some of juice defender's work though.

@0casey9 If you get the message “Please insert a memory card” even though a memory card is inserted, close the Backup and restore application before connecting your phone to a PC using the USB cable. If the message still appears, tap OK and ignore the message.
