UP Pep Squad was the very first champion of the NCC. Hindi sila sumali this year cause of UPs centennial year celebrations. I thnk they were lined with a lot of activities, concerts, appearances and whatnot. Yes, they were the rockin' pep squad featured at the ABS-CBN summer station ID. And please peeps, the hype of the NCC still doesn't compare to the noise of the UAAP cheerdance comp. Ncc is still a fledgling competition and from watching it...same old same old...nothing new and innovating.
Natural lang namasgagandahan nila yung sa kanila dahil nakita nila ang capabilities ng kalaban (pero unfortunately, di sumali UP, FEU at UST. haha) pero what if sumali sila dito sa competition na ito? malamang wala silang sinabi kasi di nila nagawa research nila. :P

hindi ka siguro dancer... it takes more than just one person to execute a stunt. watch UST's performance more closely. i think the problem with that fall was the base or the spotter... just watch it more closely! it isnt always the flyer's fault if she falls!!!

Pwede sigurong mandaya ang mga judges pero ang libo-libong tao nakakapanood at sumusubaybay sa UAAP cheerdance taon-taon ay kailanman hindi mo pwedeng dayain at lokohin sa mga nakikita nila. Alam ng tao kung sino ang tunay na magaling at kung sino ang mga nagtatanga tangahan lang sa katotohanan. Kayo mismo alam nyo na hindi nyo kayang gawin at higitan ang mga ginagawa ng runner ups lang. 5 time champion ka pero ang pinapakita mo ay hindi sapat para tawaging isang tunay na champion.
Hindi sapat na 5 time champion ka kung hindi mo naman deserving ang lahat ng pagkapanalo mo. Kahit na runner up ka lang kung mas marami naman ang humahanga at umiidolo sayo mas masarap pa rin ang pakiramdam dahil daig mo pa ang isang na champion. Kahit hindi pa manalo ang FEU ang mahalaga alam ng lahat ng tao kung ano ang kaya nilang gawin. Champion ka nga pero hindi ka naman tanggap ng tao so balewala rin.

With costume, UP is certainly my best. There was never a yr since I started watching it in 2002 that they actually repeated a style in costume unlike some other schools always wearing the cat-suit type of costume just changing the design. They are the only squad in the UAAP, I noticed, with girls sporting short hair; and this year, 2007, girls' make-up: you UP pep girls really looked so pretty especially when you coupled it with the kick-ass attitude on the floor!!
in the last years when UP was constantly losing to UST, viewers had comments like "hindi kasi malinis yung formations", "they look like competing against each other instead of performing as one", "hindi sabay sabay"... and now, UP pep worked on it... see the result... :) hehe

It shows that FEU has the ORIGINALITY and CREATIVITY than UST. Kung mapapansin ninyo FEU lang ang may iba't ibang concepts taon-taon with this year's theme of HAPPY FEET. Sa UP meron din maliban sa UST na puro recyle ang routine. Kahit magchampion pa ng ilang beses ang UST, ang tanong deserving ba sila at gusto ba sila ng mga taong nanonood sa kanila? Hindi tulad ng FEU at UP bukod sa mahihirap ang routine nila, marami pa ang nageenjoy sa pinapakita nila na mas naaappreciate ng tao.

Sinasabi lang ng tao ang opinyon nila base lang din sa nakita nilang performance ng bawat isa. At majority nga ang nagsasabi na hindi deserving ang UST sa place nila. In terms of true meaning of cheering with highest degree of difficulty and perfect execution, UP at FEU lang nagpapakita nito every UAAP Cheerdance Competition. Nakilala lang ang UST sa mga pa-cute na steps, simple and basic pyramids at RECYLE na routine. FEU is really deserved and better than UST kahit noon pa.
Isang malaking ASA na gagayahin ng FEU ang UST. Pano sila gagayahin ng FEU eh puro RECYLE nga ang routine nila. At ilang taon na rin bang ginagamit ng UST ang mga pyramids nilang very BASIC. Kahit hindi magchampion ang FEU, sa puso naman ng maraming tao from different schools at mismong taga UST na ang nagsasabi na mas magaling talaga ang FEU. Sa mga steps, stunts at pyramids pa lang, anong laban ng UST sa FEU???
Maganda po yung performance... pero parang may kulang. search niyo ito ASIAN CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.. Then search JAPAN. Sana magawa niyo din yan.... kc kulang talaga ang pinas sa mga old stunts

Astig talaga ng UP!!! simula nung napanood ko yung performance nila nung 2005 hanggang ngayon, sadyang napakaganda!!! great stunts, tumblings, at iba pa! ang favorite kong part is 4:53..ahehe..sa mga ibang universities, keep up the goodwork!!! lahat kau magagaling kasi mahirap pinagdaanan nyo para makagawa ng magandang performance! walang nagreklamo in the last 5 years except in 2005. how can almost all the judges give UP pep an impressive line of 9 score when the UST representative judge gave UP a 70-ish score.

how u pronounce is how you spell and vice versa NGUNIT, ang ating wika ay hindi ganap dahil sa isang salitang hindi binabaybay ayon sa pagbigkas... ang salitang NG... but for the rest, whichever way you spell it, its acceptable.. example: lalaki versus lalake. kaya mabaet versus mabait is totally fine.

Natural lang namasgagandahan nila yung sa kanila dahil nakita nila ang capabilities ng kalaban (pero unfortunately, di sumali UP, FEU at UST. haha) pero what if sumali sila dito sa competition na ito? malamang wala silang sinabi kasi di nila nagawa research nila. :P

FOLKS! IF YOU WATCH UPs ROUTINES FROM 1998 TO 2005...ANG DAMING NI-RECYCLE NG IBA'T IBANG SCHOOLS FROM THEM. There were similar moves na ginamit ng FEU AT UST this 2007 from previous UP routines...had the time to watch them all..so UP REALLY DID INNOVATE THIS YEAR!

hindi ka siguro dancer... it takes more than just one person to execute a stunt. watch UST's performance more closely. i think the problem with that fall was the base or the spotter... just watch it more closely! it isnt always the flyer's fault if she falls!!!

Pwede sigurong mandaya ang mga judges pero ang libo-libong tao nakakapanood at sumusubaybay sa UAAP cheerdance taon-taon ay kailanman hindi mo pwedeng dayain at lokohin sa mga nakikita nila. Alam ng tao kung sino ang tunay na magaling at kung sino ang mga nagtatanga tangahan lang sa katotohanan. Kayo mismo alam nyo na hindi nyo kayang gawin at higitan ang mga ginagawa ng runner ups lang. 5 time champion ka pero ang pinapakita mo ay hindi sapat para tawaging isang tunay na champion.

Hindi sapat na 5 time champion ka kung hindi mo naman deserving ang lahat ng pagkapanalo mo. Kahit na runner up ka lang kung mas marami naman ang humahanga at umiidolo sayo mas masarap pa rin ang pakiramdam dahil daig mo pa ang isang na champion. Kahit hindi pa manalo ang FEU ang mahalaga alam ng lahat ng tao kung ano ang kaya nilang gawin. Champion ka nga pero hindi ka naman tanggap ng tao so balewala rin.

The lithe and blithe dancers were a sight to behold and routines were impeccably executed, albeit extremely difficult and risky. Having incorporated a theme to their routine, theirs was a visual cacophony of timing, coordination and agility, a sonorous esprit de corps, proverbially, rocking and rolling the coliseum. With costume, UP is certainly my best. There was never a yr since I started watching it in 2002 that they actually repeated a style in costume unlike some other schools always wearing the cat-suit type of costume just changing the design. They are the only squad in the UAAP, I noticed, with girls sporting short hair; and this year, 2007, girls' make-up: you UP pep girls really looked so pretty especially when you coupled it with the kick-ass attitude on the floor!!

It shows that FEU has the ORIGINALITY and CREATIVITY than UST. Kung mapapansin ninyo FEU lang ang may iba't ibang concepts taon-taon with this year's theme of HAPPY FEET. Sa UP meron din maliban sa UST na puro recyle ang routine. Kahit magchampion pa ng ilang beses ang UST, ang tanong deserving ba sila at gusto ba sila ng mga taong nanonood sa kanila? Hindi tulad ng FEU at UP bukod sa mahihirap ang routine nila, marami pa ang nageenjoy sa pinapakita nila na mas naaappreciate ng tao.

Sinasabi lang ng tao ang opinyon nila base lang din sa nakita nilang performance ng bawat isa. At majority nga ang nagsasabi na hindi deserving ang UST sa place nila. In terms of true meaning of cheering with highest degree of difficulty and perfect execution, UP at FEU lang nagpapakita nito every UAAP Cheerdance Competition. Nakilala lang ang UST sa mga pa-cute na steps, simple and basic pyramids at RECYLE na routine. FEU is really deserved and better than UST kahit noon pa.

Isang malaking ASA na gagayahin ng FEU ang UST. Pano sila gagayahin ng FEU eh puro RECYLE nga ang routine nila. At ilang taon na rin bang ginagamit ng UST ang mga pyramids nilang very BASIC. Kahit hindi magchampion ang FEU, sa puso naman ng maraming tao from different schools at mismong taga UST na ang nagsasabi na mas magaling talaga ang FEU. Sa mga steps, stunts at pyramids pa lang, anong laban ng UST sa FEU???

hahaha... hindi napigilan ng lahat ng school na magsigawan dahil ang dali na nga ng mga pyramids ng UST nahulog pa. pasalamat pa nga ang UST at nasa top 3 pa sila... with their simple steps, simple pyramids and RECYCLE routine paano mananalo ang UST??? deserved lang sa top 3 ang UP at FEU sila lang ang sinisigaw ng lahat ng tao at ng lahat ng school kahit noon pa sila lang ang mahigpit na naglalaban na walang halong pandaraya kundi tunay na galing ang pinagbabasehan.

hey hey! kumusta naman ang wrong "gramming" haha. im not from UP, but i can also smell something that's fishy. napakaliit lang ng lamang ng UP sa UST, which is talagang nakakaduda ksi mas mgaganda routines ng FEU sa UST. ewan. i guess, UST are now known to be... ahem... alam niyo na yun. siguro kung nabuo pa yung pyramid ng UST malamang baka may magandang rason na ulet sila mandaya. ipapanalo nila yung school na yun. ;p

yeah, lahat ng universities na sumasali sa competition, grabe magpractice. kung iisipin, bakit maliit lang ang lamang ng UP sa UST? eh puro mali ang UST? besides, mas maganda ang sa FEU kesa sa UST. hmm.. puzzling db? pero, hindi mo dapat icompare yung pagpapractice nila, dahil alam naman nating lahat sila naghirap. go UP!!!!

walang nagreklamo in the last 5 years except in 2005. how can almost all the judges give UP pep an impressive line of 9 score when the UST representative judge gave UP a 70-ish score.

how u pronounce is how you spell and vice versa NGUNIT, ang ating wika ay hindi ganap dahil sa isang salitang hindi binabaybay ayon sa pagbigkas... ang salitang NG... but for the rest, whichever way you spell it, its acceptable.. example: lalaki versus lalake. kaya mabaet versus mabait is totally fine.
