  • im 14 this is my dream car!!!

  • @JoeySk84life Hey, Joey! That's very cool...it has been the dream car for many! Fortunately, there are a bunch out there, so there may be a good chance you might find one. Thanks! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 Well that's good to hear :) Thanks for replying!!

  • @JoeySk84life Hey, Joey! It's my pleasure...you can keep track of these cars and get an idea of price on eBay automotive...not that you're necessarily in the market right now, but it does give an idea! Thanks! :) Jack

  • i would die to have one of these beautiful pieces of machinery!!

  • @TheGuruuuu These cars have never lost their initial appeal..I remember people restoring them back in the 70's...I find a surprising number of them showing up at local car shows! Thanks! :) Jack

  • ah the Baby Birds, my favorite, they say you shouldn't mess with a good thing, and unfortunately i think they did mess with the formula in 1958 with the help of Mr.McNamara, don't get me wrong the 1958-1979 Thunderbird's are classics too me as well, but there a different car all together, some may disagree, but the '55-'57 Thunderbird's were some what personal Luxury with a very Sporty attitude, and i think they held there own against the '55-'57 Corvettes very well, and thanks for sharing! :)

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 Hey, Brent! Yeah, I know what you mean about the two seater Thunderbirds....they were an icon! But Ford seemed to be more occupied by sales and personal luxury than performance, and performance would be Corvette's specialty. Ford was quite happy with the increase in sales that a four seater provided..and so the die was cast! Thanks! :) Jack

  • Beautiful car, my uncle in Toronto, Canada, had one of these T-birds back in the 60's, his was a '56 though & it was Red. I always loved Ford tail lights of the late 50's early 60's, that big single circular tail light ... Fantastic :)

  • @drewerz01 Hey, Mike! That's great that he had one of these fantastic cars! Ford originally marketed them to doctors, lawyers, businessmen. Those tailights were signature for Fords...starting in a smaller way in 52...with occasional breaks, like the full sized Fords in 58 and 60. By 65 the style changed....but for years, you could always tell a Ford...even if it was just a glimpse of the back of the car! Thanks! :) Jack

  • oooh saweet !

  • @wardawg07 Hey, Warren! Glad you like! Thanks! :) Jack

  • It looks like they updated the electrical from 6 to 12 volts, which is a great idea. The back lit speedometer I think was a feature in 54 and 55. I remember reading that the OD was only put in 15% of 56 T-Birds and it would have been my favorite. Turquoise was very popular at this time and this bird looks really good in this color.

  • @cheddyrod Hey, Chester! Indeed, that is the best thing that can happen..12 volts is much better in my opinion. Going to college at the time, it was a major concern when cars in the parking lot needed a jump start...many sparks flew as incompatible cars attempted to jump start!! I was glad I could find out what the lever was...I agree...overdrive by this time was losing its prominence..automatics were beeing taken for granted. Thanks! :) Jack

  • Mint green looks very nice on ths car. Thanks for sharing! --John

  • @jojocats2 Hey, John! It really is perfect for this car! Thanks! :) Jack

  • What a beauty!

  • @tonscordova Hey, Tony! One of the best styled cars Ford ever produced...and all the Ford cars took their styling cues from the Tbird! Thanks! :) Jack

  • she sure is purty!

  • @northsiderollers Hey, Mike!... my thoughts exactly! Thanks! :) Jack
