  • my son and i just watched this video on fox! and all he could say is "mom i really want to help that cute baby i hope he gets better" broke my heart seeing him hurt like that! my prayers will be with you! he's a strong boy :)

  • such a sad story, Fox is the strongest, bravest, happiest baby ive ever seen in these conditions

God bless him, i hope he gets better very soon :)

  • god bless you, i cant stand when they have the danger when their young.

  • This clip is very sad my son has a hemangioma on his facw but after looking on here what I thought was huge on my 13 week old son is actually tiny, He is now on propanalol this is only the first week so fingers crossed it will stop it from growing any further and make it disappear your little one went through so much as I am sure that you and your husband did also people often forget that the parents suffer too its so hard watching such a gorgeous baby go thru so much I wish you all the luck

  • Maybe you already thought of this but ,

Why couldnt they cut the whole birthmark away and replace the skin with donorskin?

  • I don't know what to say .. but i almost cried.. I mean . why?? i can't understand? why does it have to happen to the kids. I can't imagine how much he did suffer from this .. I'll pray for this kid.. also for all those kids who have the same disease..

It's so sad ... hope he will have a good future....

  • Hemangioma is very tough to live with, I have had it since i was six weeks old, i am now 15 years old. I have had four plus surgeries in order to remove it, but it keeps coming back. Not everyone ends up being okay. I have had many skin grafts, and i am still in a ton of pain everyday, i have virtual no usuage of my left hand. And everyday i am faced with looks and whispers of people wondering why i can lay my arm straight. For those of you who are lucky enough to lead a normal life, congrats.<3

  • did he die?

  • If I Had The Chance To Live Or Die For The Baby, I Would Die For The Baby

  • my heart goes out to you & your baby boy for all the stuggles you have went through. he is a gorgeous little man :)

  • Fox Bisset, I am too moved to say more than God bless you.

  • Fox Bisset, I am too moved to say more than God bless you.

  • This brought tears to my eyes... your strength as a family is overpowering -- i am sure Fox could never ask for better parents!!

All I ask is -- is it painful? I have seen motorcycle accidents with severe road rash that look the same, and I cant imagine a tiny baby dealing with the pain.

    Wish you all the best.

  • Its so sad that it took so long for him to get the help he needed. Poor lil man. I hope he suffers no more.

  • You are good parents, I know how hard the hospital visits and meds are.

I wish you all the very best!

  • dear lord! blees him!:) im so sorry! but that is terrible. on the other hand he is sooooo cute!!!!!

  • holy shit that thing is big!!!

  • I so sorry not give up the fight.

    sant joseph hospital

  • What a beautiful baby boy:)

  • This pisses me off,I wish I could take his pain away, that looks so painful....

  • wow.

  • im an 18 year old man and this still made me cry cuz i hav a little bro... get well soon :)

  • what a sweetheart, I am so sorry you had such terrible medical attention for so long. That baby is something special!

  • 0:46 it looks like a blood stain. 1:32 looks like a dragon's skin.2:18 it looks like his skin is being eaten away.3:46 poor baby it must hurt so bad. 3:50 the parents and doctors should be terrified.4:02 looks like he was burned. Poor boy if anyone makes fun of anyone with hemangioma just think what it would be like if you had it.

  • aww bless him my so was born with an emangioma on his upper arm i went to the local hospital who also prescribed anti-biotic cream and dressings which did nothing so went to alder hey a+e as it became infected they admitted him an prescribed a new medicine for this type of problem called propranolol and you coud see a difference right away he's been for frequent check ups but all is good wont be lazered til before he's ready for school, hope your son is all better now xx

  • This is so incredible. There are no words to even describe what it must take for parents to make it through such a difficult situation. You must have incredible amounts of strength and love in your hearts. Your little boy is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure your video is going to help many parents who find themselves in the same situation.

  • @lalalamusic143 ditto

  • so did they bolth just show up about the same time small ?

  • Does this have any effects to the future life?

  • @tore1992 other than extensive scarring (both to the haemangioma and where the skin was taken from his thigh) he should be fine. The grafted area may need releasing as he grows. We don't really know what it will leave until hes much older so I guess then it would be up to him if he would like any kind of cosmetic treatment. Hes currently 21 months and a million times better than he was this time last year. Thank you for veiwing his film :o)

  • I'm so happy the treatment is getting somewhere!

i wish the little tyke the best. :)

  • Poor little baby, I'm so sorry about what he and you went through, unbelievable! He's very cute little boy, no one deserves something like this. I hope it's completely gone.

  • I bow to you and your husband for not giving up and providing him with care and warmth.

Thanks for sharing Fox's story and I wish him the best.

  • My daughter has superficial hemangiomas on her face(meaning the same type of red hemangioma as your son has)she also have a cavernous hemangioma on her face & it was at one time the size of a baseball & the doctors told us without her trial drug(propanalol) that her face would have extended out about 6 inches by now. due to her drug her face has shrunk to almost normal.I would like to get her red hemangiomas removed from her face, they are small because the drug stopped them from growing.advice?

  • @AvaLaurellesMommy if she is still young and they haven't ulcerated, they will very probably disappear leaving just a slightly lighter, sofer area of skin.

  • omg what a brave little man!! i'm currently in hospital after finally getting my lymph haemengioma cut out and a skin graft placed over the wound... mine is located on my left foot, on the instep, which prevents me wearing lots of shoes, standing for long periods and exercising! i'm 24 yrs old and have had my "freak" (as it is no so affectionately called...) ever since i can remember ,y mum said i was born with it. i too had to bandage mine, non stick dressing and betadine salve, but the stench!

  • Aww poor baby... I will keep him in my prayers..

  • good God what can be done? this is terrible. i hope it all clears up, somehow, someway, and professionals can start taking this seriously even though it may not appear in their "medical books". not the same thing but it took me 10 years of pain, anguish and despair to get diagnosed with Crohns Disease. Things must change. research must go on. awareness and acceptance of things like this must be raised.

  • aww:(

  • worst case ever

  • An amazing boy and amazing parents. From looking at your photos of Fox, it is easy to tell he has received absolutely the best of care from you, his dedicated parents. He looks happy, well adjusted and strong. Thankyou for sharing all the pics. I believe it will help many.

  • @suburbansusie8 Thank you, hes doing really well at the minute. First swim on saturday hopefully :o)

  • @malloryroxx Glad he is doing well and that swim sounds wonderful! He is a darling.

  • PS..All of her surgeries were done as an outpatient and I got to take her home that night. I wish the best for you. This should have never happend to you and your family with today's medical advances. Skin grafts should have never been needed. They said that my daughter's hemangioma was the biggest they had ever seen and had never attempted anything so radical on a child under the age of one.....I will attempt to look up the info on that Dr....My daughter will be 20 years old in March.

  • Fox's hemangioma did not look as bad as my daughter's but I will tell you that hers looks like a burn scar now and she has no pain or bleeding. Infection was never a problem even though we thought it would be due to being mostly inside her diaper...I know you are pleased now with your care but If you can find him, Dr. Mark Taylor in San Antonio was fantastic with his laser and my daughter never bled after the first surgery and almost all of the redness was gone. I wish you luck!

  • Continued..her Dr. referred me to a local plastic surgeon, Dr. Mark Taylor who was then here in San Antonio, he scheduled her for laser surgery and I don't know what kind of laser he used but I know that him and only one other Dr. in Texas had these lasers. She had two laser surgeries and was in pain enough that she stopped trying to walk because falling on her butt hurt that much. It never looked like this one, Looked like a burn and then skin that was scarred. I feel for you and Fox.

  • Wow, I am appalled at the medical care in 2008!. In 1990 my daughter was born with a Hemangioma about that size that involved her lower back and most of her buttocks. She was born with it raised and red like that and very bumpy looking. They did not want to do anything until it was needed. At about 9 months old, I changed her diaper and blood squirted out into the air, I was 20 yrs old and it scared the crap out of me, I got the bleeding stopped and took her to her Dr. Her Dr. referred me to

  • if i were u i would have a law suit on that other hospital for making that baby have to go through what he went through, no baby should have to go through that, and i know that had to be rough on you guys just as much as it was on him.

  • I'm sure the NHS would bring in their giant team of expensive lawyers quicker than you could say '' do you really know what you're doing?''

  • dear fox.

your movie made me cry so much. you are such a brave boy, and its so sad the todays medical advances have left you behind. your in my heard little dude, i hope your mum n dad find help for you soon. If u ever come to Australia and need blood, skin or anything let me know so i can help you out ok? from your biggest aussie fan, Katrina :)

  • I am completely aware (and know member of staff who were working there) that on the eveing he was first admitted and the week that followed, they had no idea what to do with him so just left him and monitored him until somone else stepped in.

  • Local hospitals are so uncaring and not properly trained or informed of what to do to help a person through a long healing process. This poor child suffered too much due to medical ignorance

  • your little boy is amazing you really should be prode parents.2 years of my llife from 1 and half to almost 3 year old GOSH did so much for me when i had meningitis and septicaemia i got septicaemia 2 weeks before i was rush down to london when realised i had got meningitis from the sepicaemia GOSH is so amzing that since i was 7 yrs i understod the work they spent time on me and how ill i was since then ive have made sure ive got £10+ every month just to give to them im now 19 good luck xxxxx

  • How is he going? better I hope!!!!

Did you heard about PROPRANOLOL? It's seems to be successfull....

  • iv tried to copy and paste the link but its not working, if you go to rochdale observer and tpe in the search engine madeeha an article called birthmark baby cure will come up there is a pic of my daughters haemangioma

  • i really feel for you as a family i know the pain of seeing your child like this my daughter i still cant feed and she is fed thru tube in her nose i would love to keep in touch with u please read article below im so pleased to see that you also are trying to raise awareness we have granada news coming this wk to see us

I also read your artcle in yr local paper and in magazine and could relate to the agony u have suffered

  • hi, sorry there was no link or article to read..?

  • i am so angry at your local hospital i also had a daughter 1st april this yr with large heamangioma on r side of her face doctors and local hospital told me there was no need for treatment but i coul see my daughter getting worse her lips also ulcerated at 4 weeks i myself contact great ormond street hospital they have been fantastic and the results of propranalol.

  • I'm so glad you're little girl is getting the help she needs now. i hope shes getting better. GOSH and the birthmark support group have been amazing. Fox's wounds are nearly all gone now. It just makes us so angry that we spent 7 wasted months at other hospitals. Fox went through so much agony.

  • Golly Eve.

My very best wishes to little Fox. I'm very pleased things are looking up, he must be such a brave little guy.

    John (480)

  • my biggest piece of advice is to always, always get another opinion from another doctor if you don't like the way treatment is going. hope everything is getting better.

  • Keep fighting little guy!
