Very nice arrangement, what a track, very well covered. Nice guitar as well, i do like an EJ-200 played well. Great work and I am using your lesson myself. Your right about strumming patterns, you have to feel them. Listen and use the original as a base, and allow your fingers to feed your soul... (my word that was deep, where did that come from)

@yobertiebassett I rarely talk about strumming patterns as I don't believe they can really be taught. It is best to try and pick them up by ear. I rarely strum a song the same way twice. Focussing on when other people tell you to U and D shouldn't be the way it's done. Best to focus on developing your own ear for it..... in my humble opinion anyway. Cheers.

@georgiarose16 Ive always had a problem with rhythm and can't pick up anything more than very simply strum patterns by ear. My friend can pick up anything by ear, he never learned it just came natural to him. There has to be a way for people like me to learn it, everyone tells me to just listen but I dont even know how to listen, I just cant pick up on it I need to learn how to pick up on how to do it before I can learn to do it you know? uggh its so stressful

@BackPorchPoet4 I'm not gay and I still love The Smiths. I think they probably struck a chord with the youth of that era who felt oppressed during the time of the Thatcher reign. Gays perhaps identified with those feelings of oppression even more so.

Thanks. I had attempted to play this a few times over the years but never could manage anything which sounded half decent. I gave it another go this morning and this version just kinda happened by itself. I only rehearsed it twice prior to uploading this take. I'm pretty happy with it.
