On your first one, I actually disagree. I'm not a mother, but I know that if you pay attention to the child you reinforce the tantrum behavior and ignoring them is just teaching them it impresses and interests no one. Thus they don't tantrum so much, so I think it's a sign of fairly good parenting when they can choose not to overtly fuss over spoilt and demanding behaviour =P
