I don't think too many people know that Creedence Clearwater Revisited consists of Stu Cook (Revival's original bass player) and Doug Clifford (Revival's original drummer), and they started Revisited after basically winning legal rights to all the songs after John Fogerty went on his own. They're not what they used to be, obviously, and John Tristao does his best to keep the harsh vocals Fogerty made famous intact, but to say these guys suck is kind of harsh since half of the band is Revival.

They may have started as a cover band, but they're popular. Doug Clifford and Stu Cook, members of the band, and Tricia Fogerty, Tom Fogerty's widow, each own 25% of the rights to the name Creedence Clearwater Revival. John Fogerty sued them over royalties, but he can't put them out of business. I don't think their covers are so bad, but bad covers aren't actionable anyway. If you don't like 'em , don't listen. That's what you do with bad music.

Maybe so, but 'Revisited' is more like a nostalgia band. These are expected to imitate the original. There's a successful nostalgia band here called 'Phil Dirt and the Dozers' that does 50's & 60's covers. They've been around so long some of the original members are retired or deceased. Their schtick was to be just like the originals... only more so. The current band's style has moved away from outright imitation a little bit.

sorry to disagree with the majority but i think CC Revisited capture the sound of CCR much more than John Fogerty's solo output. the first LP i ever bought was Cosmo's Factory so consider myself a true CCR fan. bergtomas saying this is crap is unbelievable. JF destroyed the original band remember!

This band gives Cook and Clifford the chance to suck out a few more dollars from what belongs to the great John Fogerty. And it gives the chance to a couple of mediocre musicians to make a living of playing someone else´s songs. This is crap and music without meaning and soul. it may not be the original band but doug clifford and stu cook have every right to play songs from creedence after all john fogerty was trying to dominate the band in all its decisions im not trying to disrespect john fogerty after all he is amazing but cook and clifford did have a part in making ccr what they where and i beleive they are just introducing their songs to a new generation as for the lead singer not fogerty by a long shot but not bad for a sound alike just my opinion of course
