Those are Pearl Eliminator pedals. They are my favorite, and adjustable in so many ways including footboard placement, beater angle, beater length, pedal action(via interchangeable cams under the chains,spring tension, and footboard height. Amazing pedals. Check out Virgil Donati double bass patterns, he uses them.
How not? If you can tune a good drum with good heads the right way, it should stay in tune for a while, and he knows how to hit the drum effectively without pounding it.

What Jordison do here is good but its easy stuff to copy. Cant see one thing hes really good at compared to others like Jason Bittner, Cris Adler, Derek Roddy or Hellhammer. Hellhammer does 1200/ min at last record with Dimmu Borgir and for him its just natural playing figures like this as it is having breakfast. But dont burn me! I,m not saying Jordison isnt good. But hes in another league than the drummers above.

the only thing bad about guys that drum this way is the lack of musicality. i mean, he has decently strong feet, and chops its obvious. but what he was playing is just bleh! do you think he can sit in a pocket and play a groove, musically? my guess is no. if it isn't metal, drummers like Joey Jordison are probably clueless on how to play musically.

dog why would joey sit and play jazz shit for a soundcheck. his band doesnt play that, and it would kinda dismiss the point of the soundcheck in genral. he plays what he will be playing in the recording, or later in the show u dumbfuck.
it makes no since for brad roberts to play r&b for a soundcheck when his band is GWAR.

he's not a bad drummer, and i wouldn't expect him to play "jazz." i bet he doesn't eve know what it is. MOST "rock/metal" drummers, except for the likes of blake richardson (BTBAM) and some other highly educated guys who play metal, sandoval, portnoy,etc., don't get the concept of pocket drumming. which is the true essence of what drumming is. not always blasting. "less is more" is the concept. joey jordison would be lost as fuck if he sat down with ?uestlove and The Roots. oh. and fuck gwar...

Those are Pearl Eliminator pedals. They are my favorite, and adjustable in so many ways including footboard placement, beater angle, beater length, pedal action(via interchangeable cams under the chains,spring tension, and footboard height. Amazing pedals. Check out Virgil Donati double bass patterns, he uses them.

How not? If you can tune a good drum with good heads the right way, it should stay in tune for a while, and he knows how to hit the drum effectively without pounding it.

joey jordison wasn't the drummer for murderdolls. he was the guitarist and backup vocals. not to mention slipknot wasn't Joey's only band, he played for Otep a little bit, he even toured with Metallica, he was with Mate Feed Kill Repeat which was kind of slipknot's starting grounds. wednesday 13 sucks by the way.

What Jordison do here is good but its easy stuff to copy. Cant see one thing hes really good at compared to others like Jason Bittner, Cris Adler, Derek Roddy or Hellhammer. Hellhammer does 1200/ min at last record with Dimmu Borgir and for him its just natural playing figures like this as it is having breakfast. But dont burn me! I,m not saying Jordison isnt good. But hes in another league than the drummers above.
