  • Another great way to add extra resistance to your dips/pull-ups and work the abs and shins is hook your feet into a cinder block and pull the knees up as you do the movement. Another cool thing w/ this set up is you can eaily set the block down and keep going for a non-stop drop set.

  • what a great idea, dog leash 4 a belt

  • Dogs are badass.

  • In another video Jeff recommends you do pull ups really slow on the way down but normal on the way up. I think he called them 1-3 style, where going up takes 1 second and going down takes 3 seconds. Well I tried that today with my dips and it was awesome.

  • no, completely disagree with the excuse thing its wrong, if a move doesnt work for u, or u really dont like it, u shouldnt do it at all, dips dont do shit for me, so i forget they exist, HOWEVER, if u like dips and they work for u(which this video is mainly about) this is a very good video

  • bro what differnce in chest/triceps dips?

  • @runescapeclassicable If you lean forward and flare your elbows outward it works your chest more than your triceps. If you stay vertical and keep your elbows in, it works your triceps more than your chest.

  • Is this man annoying, or is just me?

  • @tallskin Just you =P

  • Hi. thanks for the video, please can you explain, how, by leaning forward, or back, you can intensify, either tricep, or pex? obviouse, its probably 50/50 but if we can hit chest more deliverately, that would be a goal, thank you. dd

  • hey jeff should i make abs with normal muscles like for example working out chest and abs the same day?

  • my dog died...

  • @ JDCav24 can you make me a chest workout that i will see results in a month. i really need to define my lower chest. i have dumbbells pull up bars and resistance bands.

  • too many dogs . . hurt your concentration if you were actually pulling or pushing some big weight around. . .

  • Should you lock out your elbows at the top?

  • what if u live in a box have a dog but dont have a leash?

  • Hey one way to protect the back from you cutting in with the "belt" would be to add a towel or cloth. Just a thought.

  • Hey jeff, when i do my dips, i get a pain near my clavicle/collarbone, mainly on the left side of my body. I don't think it's muscle pain, so am i doing something wrong or is this something that will go away with time as i become stronger since i'm a beginner and i've only started working out a few weeks go. Thanks for your help, Ameya G, 16 years old :)

  • jeff great idea with the dog leash its such a simple thing but something i wouldnt of thought of it- if your adventurous enough and you have a power rack with a reallly tall ceiling you can climb up the top and use the corner of it to complete your dips - i have done it before when training in a mates garage with no dip station

  • hey jeffI! :) I have also found out to do this at the corner of my kitchen table, is'it the same jeff by doing this?

  • how do you get the "line" in the center of your chest?

  • Thanks Jeff. No excuses.

  • I guess you could also use a back pack full of text books if you don't have a leash or a weight belt.

  • treadmill shit was clever.

  • do dogs get abz ?

  • Great tips. 'Diggin that equipment you have.

  • Im 15 years and I bought this system but I dont start until this coming monday. I dont understand why I am right handed but my left arm is much stronger and my left bicep is visibly larger than my right. Also with my right arm it seems that my bicep is attached closer to my arm pit ( I dont know if that makes much sence) but if anyone understands what I mean it would be great if they could tell me what is causing this and how to correct it. Anyones help would be great. Thanks in advance.

  • @MrGarlickid I will try to explain, So lets say your doing bicep curls using the same wieght for each arm when using your right arm its easier to control the wieght but with your left hand it not thus your body uses more muscle fibers to do the movement witch leads to more muscle gains:D (its like that for all your muscles) as for your right arm i am not sure but it might be genetics (your biceps don't have to have to look like each other!). well i hope you understand :)

  • @momin156 oh okay that makes sence but do you know of anyways to correct it and get equal growth?

  • @MrGarlickid First set: 12 reps, second set:10 reps, third set :8 reps//you can work out with a heavy weight with your strong arm and a light weight with your weak arm BUT you must swich and do the weak arm with the heavy wieght and the strong arm with the light and you have to really push your self! My best advise to you would to work out with the same weight and in time your body will start to fix it self so don't worry and just stick to it. ((lol if you need any thing send a message XD))

  • @momin156 okay thanks, ill keep what you said in mind

  • Still miss the old intro...*tears*

  • I used to do dips a lot but now my elbows are quit bad. Any advice?

  • @TheJonAlexander DON'T LOCK YOUR ELBOWS... you probably already damaged cartilage and connective tissue by locking them but if you think about the actual exercise itself you are making it easier by locking them, reducing the amount of work and muscle activation. by not locking them you keep working through the whole set making for a much better workout.

  • Lol for a sec there i thought you were gonna use one of the dog's as dipping weight with like a chokehold haha j/k. I have an old English bulldog and its buff/ripped but hella lazy lol XD

Anyway, good job on the new intro and the bit more "simple alternative @ home" ways for doing the exercise. I especially like that bar-squat rack dip to target the lower pec area a bit more, I will definitely be doing that one.

  • nice dogs they should be in the next video. regards

  • Hey Jeff i had i simple question, if i wanted to gain say about 30 pounds of lean muscle can your program do that. I know it may not do that in one complete round but say if i did the whole program three or four times through could it help me gain that weight? any tips?

  • Great Stuff once again Jeff, love the dogs best company a man can ask for always loyal no matter what.

  • Nice dogs :D

  • haha that's funny you mentioned that about the kitchen counter my friend has an island in her kitchen and i always do dips on it haha good video man thanks for the suggestion about the leash

  • I had a stroke 7 years ago, and I can't do some of these excersices, could you maybe make a video, of something I could do? I would very much approciate it :) Thank you

  • wow nice! Wish i could be there, but now its hard enough to work with my own body weight..:D

  • Thanks again Jeff!!

  • aha ive been doing mine on the kitchen counters for a few months now, so useful, while im waiting for the microwave to finish i just do a few dips lol

  • hey JEFF i like ths NEW IDEAS

  • you forgot about doing dips with 2 chairs....but that's cool, you're still awesome!

  • The dogs are cool and the workouts are always sharp...heres a thought though, how about some work outs designed to help us "bigger" people burn fat(while gaining muscle). if I tried to do those dip sets at my weight and in my shape, Id break my arms off! Still no excuses even from me...Im a student to those who have information I can eventually use.

  • im likeing this vid a lot

  • new theme nice

  • i love your gym set up!!

  • i use the fork lifts at my work for a dipping station lol

  • press 2 over and over for another exercise

  • im a girl. i have trouble doing dips at the dip station. which is an easier way for me or wil i get used to it?

  • Le puppies..... lol

  • Love the dogs!

  • just use two chairs ....

  • do more vids with the dogs. their expressions were priceless, especially at 3.05 before it's like "He's crazy. I'm off."

  • Very good. You can also use a walker for dips. I bought a cheap one at a second-hand store and it works great. Your dogs are great. I'm sure you enjoy them. I sure love my old dog. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming. Bring the dogs back.

  • Who's Cool Young Reese???

  • reeeeeeemixxxxxx

    haha i like it

  • Hey Jeff can you do a muscle up?

  • Dude, there are very few "MUST SEE" video because a lot of them are complete bull shit. This is definitely not bull shit and anybody who wants to change their body should seriously watch. This is so sick.

  • How funny, Ive been using my dogs leashes aswell for my workouts. I will hang them from my pull up bar and do dips and TRX tipe workouts with them. Thanks for another idea. Nice 3 pack labs!

  • im very proud of my dips. im at 180 pounds (4 plates) added to my body (167lbs). very difficult on the bones so i dont do it every week.

  • I've ordered my self a dip station

    i like he dogs aswell

  • I've ordered my self a dip station

  • Great workout!!! And amazing black Labs!!!

  • Jeff you are a fucking miracle worker!

  • i love ur gym, i love ur dogs, i love ur ripped body, i love ur advice

  • ill laff if thoose dog's was shagging eachother on your video haha

  • i like your dog

  • Anyone no the name of that machine in the corner? 0:38 ?

  • @amochana Something along the lines of a cable machine. Watch his video "The Inner Pec Incinerator!" to see him use it.

  • @batvon39 Thanks!

  • @amochana no problem.

  • yet more great stuff n tip Jeff thanks i personaly use the kitchen side for dips as they r just right width and is great to get a few sets in while cookin lol,by the way ur dogs are nice and very well behaved great clip keep them coming

  • I LIKE THE DOGS! I Was just wondering I weigh 155/160 and i usually do 20 min cardio then to the decline ab bench and do like 40 or 50 crunches then oblique workout straight after i do planks for a minute or two on all sides then back on the bench as many as possible. Do you think this is enough for a ab workout to get good results?

  • @youpube1011 i would say so if u havent dont it try russian twist with medicine ball or like me bowlin ball my dogs play with and yes my dogs play with bowlin ball as football/soccers balls dont last long enough and i also habg on pull up bar n do knee raise's but go up n touch bar with knees great for core n abs

  • Those r beautiful dogs. what kind of dogs r they?

  • @quepasarick ... Labrador

  • Great ideas Jeff, here's another one that I do I hook a couple of straps (with some tubing for handles) onto my chin up bar and dip from there. People love coming up with excuses as to why they can't do things rather than look for solutions, in reality it all boils down to how much you actually want to do something if you have the will you'll find a way. Love your videos, so many great suggestions and ideas they're helping a lot. Many thanks. And your dogs are cool too :o)

  • Cool! New intro music!

  • wow new intro music. i love it!

  • Still going strong eh Jeff, keep it up man

  • Hey Jeff what dogs are those? Are they black labrador retreievers? Cool tips on the dips - they are one of one of my favourite exercises.

  • hey jeff , your dogs r so cute!!!!!

  • isnt it easier just to put weights in a bagpack?

  • @aVidzz wouldnt that put you of balance though?

  • AWESOME! i sometimes also use 2 stools in the kitchen and do dips, while having to keep stabilized (stools are not the most stable things in the world) and it is a killer! HOME-WORKOUTS FTW!

  • One of the dogs at 3:07 sees what you're doing with his leash and thinks: 'You liar, we're not going for a walk are we? I'm out of here'

  • @Sting977 LOL OH FUCK

  • I dont have dogs can I still do the work out

  • you are an inspiration to me as a personal trainer

  • I wish he didn't say "the summer is coming." You have to work out for life, not just in preparation for a summer. When you stop working out, you lose everything for which you worked so hard.

  • i have a cat

  • @dabogking well i guess you are stuck with small chest for life... :D

  • Great vid :) i like your creativity

  • awwwwww cute scene! :P ^^

  • Those with passion and determination will always find a way to get things done to reach their goals. Those who come up with excuses just aren't ready to commit yet.

  • Great video, as always.

  • Awesome...

  • hey i saw DR.DRE do this!

  • but i dont hav a dog...

  • I saw Dr. Dre do this in his 'I Need A Doctor' MV haha

  • Jeff ur dogs are awesome!

  • omg!!! This is a great idea!

  • Hey Jeff, Im curious, I subscribed to your youtube channel, but I dont recall seeing a chinup bar in there... Personally I love mine, I use gravity boots for my core and back issues, and it has (the bar) helped me gain freakish strength doing pull ups, inverted dips, inverted pulls etc... any good exercises that you recommend?

  • Jeff you are awesome! Your tips/videos have taken my MMA training to a whole new level......... I'm glad there are people like you out there, we need more "JEFFS" in the world... Thanx BOSS!!!!!

  • the leash looks like it will dig into your back lol

  • cause we all have squat racks at home.

  • @Firdaush0 but you probably have a kitchen counter or two chairs...

  • a set of chairs works great too =D

  • peck flex 5:55

  • old

  • thanks for the vid jeff. i love my dips and this video adds another dimension to them. just wondering if you had a training program available, one that gets you lean and ripped? if not whats a good program that can get me with a good body in 90 days? thanks

  • they now sell a dip station attachement for your pllu-up bar you just put on and off your door

  • Here's another tip...if you want your dips to focus more on your triceps, don't lean forward as much, straighten your legs instead of bending them, and keep your legs and feet in front of you...in other words if you could see from the side...your legs and feet are out in front farther than your body.

  • awesome video

  • You dont need weight belt, you can use ropes, Clothes, and whatever is strong enough to hold the weight of the plates. Then bam there you have it. Go to a park you can do dips, pullups, leg raises, and a bunch of crap there. LOL

  • Thx for the ideas for dips Jeff. Once I have some extra cash I might get your system. I'm going to have ignore that you're a Mets fan though.

  • Originally I didn't like your videos but that was until I realised it was because your exercises are the most challenging. ergo the best. Top class. I'm thinking about buying some rope & hanging it up. I don't really need to see you climb one but I'd love to know what you think of it as an exercise & which muscles it actually targets?

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE "NEW" BUMPPIN' INTRO MUSIC!!!

  • the 1 with the red collar looks Exactly like my dog hah

  • nice stuff bro ..keep it up..

  • nice dogs

  • new music lol...cool

  • Love the dogs Jeff. I had a Golden, would love to have a Chocolate Lab. Don't do many dips, know I should tho. Road my new bike 30 miles today. Getting ready for my 545 mile bike run! Can't wait. Awesome videos!

  • Cool labs J.C.! Great workout & outro to.

  • @kogarona

Yes this guys are telling you good advice but as Jeff taught me you have to have the 1-2 punch. A lot of people think it's all about the protein but they forget one big part, FIBER and Protein is a 1-2 punch, thanks Jeff!!!!! You are the man..

  • Great video: very creative. And the middle dog ont he floor is the silliest of the bunch-he demanded attention-just silly!

  • Wow your squat rack dip is very creative, gonna try that one next workout!

  • how far down should you go with dips so you don't screw up your joints?

  • 3 crazy dogs + muscular man = ultimate sexy

  • OH, and I also use my kitchen counter lol.

  • If I use the shake weight for men will I look like you?

  • I actually use a back pack with a weight in it.

  • this would kill my lower back, but i like the idea! would definitely work for some people

  • Great workouts Jeff! Thanks for the dips ideas! I use to chairs back to back for dips! too!

  • nice new intro theme. thanks for the great vid

  • I like the dogs

  • *Lightning* .. Bam Bam Bam Wah Wah, B-Bam B-Bam, Wow Wow !

  • I LOVE YOU JEFF YOUR WORKOUTS ARE THE SHIT

  • I use scaffolding for dips, and for a squat rack, real lucky to have em lying about.

Who doesn't like the dogs they're awesome!

  • you answered my wishes! I was just thinking of how define the chest more

  • Hey Jeff

    I just ordered the supplements.

Can't wait to start taking them.

    Great vid

  • 69th

  • 6th

  • 3rd and thanks for the info

  • Should I be taking protein if I want to tone up?

  • @kogarona yes!

  • @kogarona Protein is what your body needs to build muscles.

Always eat protein for every meal. For example, you can't eat all your protein in the morning and then none for the rest of the day. You need protein for every meal, which should be about once every 3rd hour.

But yes, a protein shake is good since it contains so much protein.

  • 2nd

  • awesome vid
