The problem with Germany was they failed to mass produce military weapons. Though American tanks were not as well constructed as German tanks, the number of tanks entering the war overwhelmed the German forces. Russians too built quite exraordinary tanks that were cheap and easy to mass produce. Remember its not the size or strength of weapons that decide a battle, rather the number and availabilty to replace lost units.

No. Actually Germany was far ahead in missile development at wars end. While the V1 and V2 were impressive they were a waste of resource and more harm then good. 3 ounces hmx in a shaped charge vs steel plate = hole in steel plate

Man Dora and schwerer Gustav are the same guntypes^^ And i know that the gun at 1:02 is Leopold because the name is written on it :D At 1:04 - at least on my computer - shows Dora or schwerer Gustav. Like i said, it doesn´t matter because they are the same type.

@Hackegrape The Dora and Gustav were essentially the same gun, only the Gustav seen more combat. Although I believe Dora fired more at the firing range. But you are right, at 1:04 it is one of the two, but who knows which one. Probably Gustav

Napolean lost because he was stupid enough to enter Russia at all. Yes winter was a factor but he like the German's did not plan on it and what kind of idiot doesn't expect winter after fall? The harsh Russian winters are not like a surprise where some years they happen and some they don't. Winter always comes and somehow the Russian's learned to survive (as have the Finn's, Swedes and Norse)

The German's figured (and by that I mean Hitler) that they'd be inside the cities by winter, secure, warm, and able to wait until spring before proceeding. thus, they didn't have proper winter uniforms.

Germany had a few cites big enough to place the army in just their is no point in attacking Russia in a surprise attack if you just going to give them a few months to get ready 1s the winter hit
