i love this song. i just heard one lyric from it and found it. well, i heard it cuz my brother had it but he refused to tell me what the song was but i was genius enough to find it
@violentdinosaur14 Joke? Did you even see the movie? When the father is walking through the school, this song plays. Right after the song ends, it shows the kid hanging and he says "I love you, Dad." Don't talk about things you don't know.
I'm more than simply 'really diggin this'. This so g and video really hit close to home. Damn emotion that it evokes is comparable to delta blues and black metal artists.
This movie is amazing, I can't wait for Bobcat's next film. This movie deserves more recognition, despite the taboo topic. Great writing, perfect cast and amazing acting, and soundtrack! This is my favorite song from the lot. Who doesn't love a good black comedy? If you can't appreciate this film, you have a lame sense of humor.
@fairyfayee What do you mean who cares? Clearly I care. That's why I made the comment. And clearly many other people care because they have very similar comments. I just really have no idea what your comment even means...
My only complaint is that he didnt go to jail in the end... there was no consequences for him breaking the law in a MAJJJOORR fashion, it was the only plot hole in the movie, it just so happens that hole is a miiiile wide.
@Mkhellyea why should he have gone to jail? he didn't actually commit any crimes, he produced work off his son's suicide. i guess it's fraud but under the circumstances i'm sure his jail time would be very short if any. and also it's not a plot hole because the film ended just as he confessed. he could have easily gone to jail after just they didn't show it.
@davidstem18 Dude he shouldve totally went to jail in real life. Thats tampering with a crime scene. You cant just go in on somebodys suicide and start changing shit around. And i highly doubt it wouldve been short jail time considering all the profit he made. When he was going home after jumping in the pool when the kid pulled up on the bike, cops wouldve been questioning him. He was kind of a big deal after that book, its not like nobody would have heard about it.
@davidstem18 And after he confessed he was shown watching NOTLD all comfy eating pop corn, and if something should have happened and doesent make sense... and the movie doesent cover it... its a plot hole. Its a gap of inconsistancy. Its pretty much a waaay important part of the story to know what happened to him after all that.
lol dude the movie is meant to be funny not realistic and seriously who would die jerkin off like really you normaly dont choke your self with a belt while doing that but that made a funny ass movie
@therainfallshellfire about 1,000 people a year die from suffocation from erotic asphyxiation. It's how David Carradine (Bill, Kill Bill) died. That's only the recorded ones. Some parents stage a suicide so people don't know their son died masturbating, and when it comes to death(especially suicide) people often project a relation or friendship with the deceased for sympathy or attention.
@therainfallshellfire Yes I know its meant to be funny and it really was I really enjoyed it. I just dont know why but the fact that they never covered it bothered the hell out of me. Lots of people die jerking off though, its not as abnormal as you'd think. Lol, most people would be suprised about the next persons intimate sexual endeavors, people are strange.
@Mkhellyea after all is said and done, yes he tampered with a crime scene but when the truth comes out its not like he committed the murder. he would not go to jail for it. you're an idiot. end of statement.
@ImInfluence Ahhh yes, the way alll smart people argue logic, name calling. Good job, wasnt insulting anything. Loved the movie, hated that loophole. Sorry to upset you so much pal.
@Mkhellyea it's an open ending, you may assume he lost everything he had and he's just decided to continue being a writer, and he's without a job.
It's not relevant to the story, it's about waking up, about rebirth, there's like an American Beauty thing going on, what happens after doesn't matter.
I was half asleep when my wife was watching World's Greatest Dad, and I woke up to this song and the Suicide Note scene - they just went together in this weird happy but still tragic vibe ~ great music!
That is a great song, good movie, Bobcat you are a funny guy, and Robin Williams will always be a freakin genius, oh and Bobcat has a pretty freakin funny stand up routine!!! Firetruck!!!!!
The movie "worlds greatest dad" actually made me cry. specially during this song. Reminded me so much of a friend I have lost recently do to suicide.. yet I can't stop listening to this song.
Is this song about suicide? I'm maybe lame for asking but that's what I take from it. I really like your music, I've been buying your stuff on Itune and will continue to tell people about you.
what a great fucking song... i myself personally dislike this style of music... i am a metal guy myself but this song is so fucking good... as well as this band
