@appledroplarry Uh you're reading it wrong. It's not that he's some sort of douche bag, it's the technique and hand motions that he is doing. In other words, he is "jerking" the ankle. Besides how can this guy be a jerk? Listen to him constantly making sure that he isn't hurting his client in any way.
@TheShaolinScholar I'm obviously not a hater... If you read my comment properly I am defending TCM and condemning (to a certain extent) modern western medicine.
I'm saying that this treatment IS helping in a REAL way. And even if one doesn't believe it is helping in the way that TCM explains it, one cannot deny that it will help in another way. If you have anymore questions, please let me know! I'd love to help explain and to discuss.
Even if he is really doing nothing with his treatments, the placebo effect increases the healing process in real, measurable ways. Besides, a western doctor would probably just throw a bunch of painkillers in her. Filling your body with chemicals (that don't even heal) is just as bad or worse.
for anyone that doesn't know she strained her ankle. dr zhang in this video works he joint loose from tension and then jerks the ankle to pop the air sac between the joints. it will hurt upfront, but the pain will go away after a few minutes and the joint will have more mobility
Once I had an aching feeling in my ankle and I bent my foot back until it popped. It hurt a lot while I was doing it but once it popped the pain and the aching went away. This looks a lot similar to what I did to myself.
@humanplatypus16 i dont really see why, out of all footwear flipflops should affet the foot the least there hardly there (though i have no evidence so u may be right)
well i was replying to someone who did not see 'the jerk' aka i think he thought a mean, asshole jerk. but yeah, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to read the whole reply/comments either.
Yes. Flip flops and extremely flat shoes that are in style for women now are dangerous! I started wearing flats and ended up having to wear an orthopedic boot for months due to ankle damage.
i myself dont actually believe in this stuff greatly i mea if my ancle was swollen i'd go too a hospital but i'll admit the swelling did deffinitly go down quite a bit so how should i know maybe theres something to all this after all.
im sure you wouldve seen the same effect if you'd just left it, it's called the body healing itself
im sure stretching muscles and increasing blood flow helps to a certain degree, which is what the guy appears to be doing here but all this stuff about "disappear cold winds" and meridians just sounds like crap to me
just like people believe in psychics and mediums, when its all just a lie to take your money
however i cannot ignore the fact that i watch these vids because they're ultra relaxing
i'd agree i dont believe in this sort of thing myself but i consider myself pretty open minded so i wouldnt argue with anyones views or acusethem of being less worthy then my own but i deffinitly agree it is very relaxing
Overlay a "meridian" chart over a chart of the body's blood vessels.
Just think of meridians as "lines where along large blood vessels are clustered", which is why so much chinese therapy has to do with heat, stretching the muscles and bleeding. All to improve circulation. A few other things, too, but whatever. It does what it's supposed to(Improve circulation), but whether improving circulation will help your diharrea is up for debate :3
@jonlscott No bitch, you can't cover up your stupidity by insulting me again about nothing. Go ahead, keep making yourself look worse by replying again.

Did she really pay money for him? I don't see any swelling or bruise on her ankle. Besides, if her ankle has something wrong, she should get really when somebody bend it like that.
You're very ignorant. The Chinese are the most empirical in their approach to medicine. Remember they are a society which did away with the concept of "god" because it was unprovable. After thousands of years these modalities are still used. because...They work.
Thank you for posting this informative video. Btw, in response to your comment about thousands of years of proven modality, you are correct. I think people who have no experience with this knowledge would do well to start with a book by Misha Ruth Cohen, titled:Many Paths To Wholeness. Also, on the subjects of meridianal healing/balancing, check out,"Do-it-yourself Shiatsu by Ohashi. These books are invaluable when it comes to restoring health to any suffering any electrical/pernicious influences

I'm have to point out that just because they did away with a concept of god doesn't mean that their medicine works. their denying of god has nothing to do with the effiency of their medicine.
more so, just because their treatments have survived for thousands of years doesn't mean that it works. to fully prove that it works, you need to test it scientifically not anecdotedly. no amount of time will ever verify something to be true.
Of course, length of practice does not justify it alone. Just look at supersitious practices that have survived millienia. But there's tons of scientific literature backing up it's (accu) effectiveness. It's recognized by the WHO (world health organization, the health and medical branch of the U.N.) as effective for treating 30 different chronic and accute conditions.
Very logically sound argument. I am in agreemnt with your reasoning. But check the empirical data, it supports effectiveness of this modality. The cited examples, (historical agnosticism) was meant to demostrate a cultural inclination towards empirical thinking.
and sorry for all the spelling and grammer mistakes. i rewrote that comment so many times so that I would meet my limit and still encompass all the information. they must have just slipped past me.
There aren't any large blood vessels on the ankle, so if the tissues in that area were damaged, bruising would be seen within half an inch of the area that was damaged instead of on the ankle itself. Thats assuming that there's a burst arteriole or something, of course capillaries can burst but they're not really noticable when they do because of their size.
