One flourescent tube has an average of 3 milligrams of mercury in it. You could snort all of the bulbs they used without getting any effects. Nice try though, merc.

Even those breaths would really only happen if one of these were broken in an enclosed room, without ventalation to the outside. Since this was done outside, these guys couldn't get much of it. Also, I think you need to check your definition of "toxic" if you're going to use it pertaining to health risks.

@coltonell erhm... no... inhaling the vapor from one of those broken tubes could have pretty serious consquences. Generally when even one breaks you evacuate the area for 15 minutes to give the vapor time to disperse.
