Had 2 guild mates doing dayli runs to get mount, they were at it for 2 months and no mount yet. 1 after-raid nigth we were talking on vent and they asked me to come along. So onto my first run ever just for the mount.

To make story abit short; i could roll --mount droped-- Me, happy geeser, outrolled them badly and got mount ..!..

On my 95th run in this dungeon, the mount finally dropped for me, but it wasn't the mount that made me happy. But the fact that I stuck to it and stay hoping that one day it'll drop for me and it did. With all the new ToC and ICC gear made soloing this instance much easier than it was back than. Cheers

But just for a bit easier way for getting the mount...

1) get a group of your rl friends together (or online guildmates/questing friends/so on so forth.)

2) go to the instance

3) put on master looter

4) complete over and over untill you recieve the mount,

"You want to kill this boss first so you get saved to the instance..." Erm, what is the benefit of being saved to the instance?? All you need to do is stealth through to Anzu's room, clear his room, summon Anzu, and kill him. You don't NEED to get saved for any reason at all, unless u just enjoy killing lvl 70 heroic bosses ofc.

The benefit is that if you happen to die while trying to solo Anzu, the trash you killed will remain dead. If you don't get saved and you get killed... when you come back, all the trash will be spawned. If you are super geared and are confident you can solo Anzu, then there's no need to kill the last boss first. That tip was mainly for undergeared Ferals... As I was when I made this video.

I just decided to bring along a pvp trinket to kick it. It's not a big deal anyway, I kill him with 100% health I'm probably armor capped for this place.

The reason for LOSing Anzu is to avoid getting the Curse he does, the stun is unavoidable. I explain in the video why the curse is bad. It drains your mana and does damage to you when you try to heal, pretty considerable considering your heals don't heal for a lot.

I just dusted off my druid and finished getting him to 80 today. I'm just curious as to what sort of gear I need in order to start farming this? I was told Naxx25 and above...confirm/deny?

Well, when I made this video.... in Bear Form I had about 27k health and 27k armor, and about 32% dodge. I was fully Tank Specced. So I would say, you do not need Naxx25 gear, you could do this with much worse gear. Also keep in mind that they nerfed Druid's Bear Armor after I made this video since they introduced Savage Defense. So you could probably do this well before reaching 27k armor. Just make sure your other stats are comparable to mine at least. Hope this helps.

I just completed my first Anzu down with your video tutorial and you certainly made it easier.

1) The macro is very useful

2) I have about 26K HP & Armor Count in bear

3) Heal fast. I wasn't able to LoS like the video recommends but I really didn't need to with what I have to work with.

I hope a mount is in the cards for me soon as it will be for you as well!

Because if you don't, and die to Anzu, then you have to re-clear the trash in that room. Which is a major pain in the ass, unlike the last boss, who is a pushover.

If you kill any boss you are saved to the instance. The point of killing the FINAL boss is that he opens the passage way through the back to Anzu in case you die.

My husband and I have been farming this for 2 months and still no drop. :( We're both druids, only I'm resto and he's feral. He's passing on the mount when and if it drops. We starting farming ZG as well, he wants the Raptor. It's hard not to get discouraged but you gotta just keep at it! Good luck to everyone farming this.

Well, the tutorial is helpful for Ferals who aren't exactly all purples... For an all epic feral, the solo can be done without thinking... but for a Feral who just got 80 or haven't been 80 very long, the tips in this tutorial are very helpful.

I've tried to solo him very early in my gearing up and have failed so I imagined other Ferals did too.

The shaking was really distracting when the video is sped up. Also, you don't need to show clears of EVERY trash mob in the room. You need to have a serious talk with your Director of Photograpy and Video Editor.

I couldn't really tell you what all gear I had on because it was pretty long ago, but I do remember my stats in bear form were around.... 27k health, 27k armor, and 34% dodge-ish.... When I did this, I would always spec Full Bear, pickin up all the tank talents...

***for those of you who arnt able to solo her heres a very easy and simple way***

clear out one corner of the room, making it possible to reach the summoning spot, go ahead and summon anzu although the room isnt cleared. now run into a corner and shadowmeld/prowl. then when she spawns heal the eagle spirit.

the eagle spirit does 300 dmg to her every 1 sec, without aggroing anything.

sooooo....you can finnaly kill her without getting hit! try it out guys. good luck getting that mount

That is a great idea, I tried it many times, always works. One problem, this take a very long time. I am a resto druid, using rejuvenation on them. I timed it once just to see how long it would be. It took me 53 mins. :(

it is very very very customizable...

You tell the text where to appear, how far you want it to animate, at what speed, what size of text, what color of text... if you want the text to appear crit style, or just normal slide across the screen style... Just try downloading it and checking it out.

1) Yes, you can just stealth through, the mobs are lvl 70s

2) No, it's gotta be done on heroic, meaning it will save daily.

3) Yes, you can actually summon anzu before the last boss, but as the video states, getting saved is the idea behind killing the boss first.

Yea it can be done in the middle of the room, but the way I've shown is the easiest way to Solo Anzu. It's not hard positioning Anzu in that spot. Why get cursed when you can avoid it? If you don't have the greatest of gear, like me, you need every second between when Anzu goes immune and when the birds come, to heal up, and wasting a global cooldown on Remove Curse would make that situation worse.

You can't LOS the stun. It's the Curse he puts on you that you can LOS, the curse is bad. The stun is bearable, just barkskin it. The curse however is much worse than the stun.

I would think not, since if you do not have Survival of the Fittest, you are vulnerable to crits, and Anzu will crit a druid for 9k in night elf/tauren form. And you have like 5% dodge in your caster gear. The lack of mitigation hurts. Its much easier and more possible to do it as Feral.

yea, I actually first tried doing this without 4 people in my party. But I couldn't do it. My gear isn't that great as it is my 2nd off-spec. I need the 4 people in my party for it to work :P.

and the way Protector of the Pack works is... the only requirement for it to work, is "there has to be people in your party", It is a pretty stupid requirement anyway. Thats why blizzard is removing the party requirement next patch. They don't even have to be near you.
