  • MS Windows 7 is available to download on:

    downloadblinks . C () M

  • what is the diffrence between beta and real

  • When windows 7 comes out will your windows 7 beta turn into the real windows 7 or will you have to go out and buy it?

  • its really like vista

  • its funny to see how much windows tries to be like apple!

  • Windows 7 isn't really like Apple... Apples run way slower than Windows and are virtually useless unless you have no idea how to work a computer and want to learn by yourself because there are only a few videos about Apples but tons on Windows. And, Apple has almost no software. And, Apples suck for gaming. Apples are also like 3x more expensive.

  • apple computers are more versatile, quicker ad less prone to crashes the windows. also when you say apple what do you mean do you mean tiger or leopard it is unclear. Apple leopard is good for beginners and serious programers. the reason apple computers are more expensive is because the are a lot better. before you think i am biased i have had a mac for 5 years and have never had any problems with it i have had a pc running vista for one year and it has crashed 5 times. I rest my case

  • one thing you didnt do mate was the new windows shake, you know? when you shake a window, it closes all the others and just keeps the one your on open!

Also, windows 7 will expire, does that mean i wont be able to use it anymore? .... id like to keep it on my comp, but if its going to expire then i may as well keep with my vista untill win7 comes out officialy.

    Thanks man

  • its gonna expire around august, so in the summer, just put xp on ur comp, no point in going to vista, because it's useless.

  • a few questions.. 1- when the beta expires do i have 2 buy a new vista or just reinstall what i already have.. 2- will old MS works work and 3- does it have a lot of problems and stuff like that... and can u answer some of thes questions b4 the beta code giveaway thing is over

  • 1. You can just reinstall your previous vista copy if you have the disk. My recommendation would be to install this on a laptop or other computer that isn't your main though.

    2. No idea about the MS works stuff. My assumption is that it should work fine...but 7 does not have works installed on it, so I can't say for sure.

    3. It is really not buggy at all. I haven't run into any problems yet.

  • is there any limitations to the beta version?

  • No, just ends in Feb. 09

  • Windows 7 IS ALOT beter then vista. i just installed it last night. ive been using it since, got all the right drivers without any prob, its a VERY stable beta. it has a better gui than vista and its easier of ram and cpu. if anyone is thinking of trying it out, do ittt!

  • Couldn't agree with you more

  • To be honest, Windows looks like a Vista that doesn't suck as much. It's got some new aesthetic features and makes usage a little easier, but I'm getting the vibe that the only real upside is that it's faster and not as much of a memory hog, but those are good things. I'm really eager to get rid of Vista. Worst computer decision I ever made.

Just a little side note to the Mac bashers. Please at least know what you're talking about before commenting. Biased ignorance bothers me.

  • Yeah, it's unbelievably faster and wayyyyy more reliable than Vista, I use the heck out of it like every day, not a single problem whatsoever. It does remind me of Vista in a way, but then again a lot of menus are different and the whole taskbar is different as well. Everything pops up really quick and fades in and out when you min. or max. a window. Another feature I found interesting is the desktop background can chage like a slideshow.

  • Well it's good to know that it's faster. I'm not sure if I'm going to use the changing desktop though. Last time I used it on OSX, it made the computer a bit sluggish. But then again, it was only a 700MHz machine from like 2002. It probably won't make much of a difference on a faster computer.

  • That's true. I mean, I had like 10 windows up while the background was changing about every 10 seconds and it didn't freeze or slow down any bit and I'm running it on a 2.8GHz Intel Pentium 4 (single-core)

  • Damn dude. I have a 2.0 Core 2 Duo in my laptop. It should run pretty nicely. I haven't downloaded the beta yet, but maybe I will now.

  • Heck yeah mean, with those specs.

  • nice preview mate. Finally someone who can speak well with some great little info bits :)

  • Well thank you and no problem :)

  • Good video commentary.

Thanks for showing some of the new features that Vista didn't have.

  • I'm so excited for this, it looks like it will OWN Macs again :)

The only single concern I have is the task bar... like the firefox thing, if you have more then one open, you have to scroll over it and wait for the preview... it looks like something I'd really be dreading. I'm just hoping they let you open it as seperate tasks like before.

Other then that, this OS looks like the best MS has made to date. XP finally R.I.P.

  • I am going to have to agree with you, but the little flaps really didn't bug me that much honestly. Not too worried about it.
