I have never seen moves like this, i saw him play in NJ tons of times, don't remember too well a while ago, anyway, even watching video of KA, he has these hesitation moves where your eyes literally can't catch up to him. The only other player i have seen with lightning-quick moves/handle like this, NBA, college or otherwise, is NYC playground legend Booger Smith from the movie "Soul in the Hole" another player who didn't live up to his potential and actually never made the NBA.
He was a great PG when he was in NJ AND Portland ,but if NJ kept him and DC and Petrovic didn't die in a car accident tne Nets were going to be a great team.I wish he was on the knicks with EWING THEY WOULD V'E WON A FEW CHAMPIONSHIPS.........
@666Skott Well what do you say when Kenny made the same or even more devastating moves on so-called "black" players? Or when Pistol Pete made similar moves on so-called "white" players?? And what do you call blu-black skinned Indians or East Africans who don't have an athletic bone in their bodies??
Melanin is a very complex molecule. You should study it instead of believing in the "myth" called "race".
@666Skott My friend i respect ur opinion but in my oppinion some of the best ball handlers to play have also been white to. Pistol pete, jason williams, steve nash, bob cousy, although not flashy but u will not get the ball from them is mr john stockton n Mark price r some of the best ball handlers of all time. color never was an issue with me cuz anyone when giveen a chance can be great from all parts of the world. that is the beauty of life my friend.
@VeoShock Agree completely. Except in what world are Maravich and Williams not flashy? Maravich is without a doubt the most unique dribbler in the NBA. Or at least he had enough balls to bring his creativity into the actual games.
I was waiting the whole video to see that move at 6:39 !! That's my fav Kenny Anderson highlight ever. .Even better I didn't even remember it was Hurley he fucced over like that!
Before the Brandon Jennings and young kids out there... there was Kenny Anderson the sickest point guard! NBA scouts were looking at him in the 7th grade. Kids now-days dibble too much & cross-over to look pretty etc. Kenny Anderson used those skills of dibbling crossing over to go somewhere with it, or get out of trouble. Injuries in the league his time was cut short.
Someone needs to get the video from when Kenny Anderson did the behind the back dribble that faked Bobby Hurley out. If memory serves me correct, Anderson dribbled up to Hurley, dribbled behind his back, faked with his left and went right around Hurley for the easy lay-up. It's on my all-time fav. moves Ever list. For some reason, I want to say it was during the ACC tournament.
Man Kenny was one of my favorite players do to his quickness N AMAZING BALL HANDLING. This guy could handle the ball with the best of them. I love his highlights to. They never get old. If he could have stayed healthy through his Pro career, the sky was the limit with him. He can take any one off the dribble n get anywhere he wants on the floor. Just an incredible talent. An NBA Star indeed.
Ahem That's superstar Mr.VeoShock Kenny is just flat out down right 100%RAW!!! His ball handling alone is second to none. Kenny has way more highlights too try and see if you can post some more yo. Respeck 4 da spice though!
thank u brother...at least somebody sees the same thing i see. what's funny is that this dude forgets that kenny averaged 33 PPG in high school and 26 or 28 points in college so he used to jack up shots too back in the day. However, when he got to the NBA he adjusted to his role of PG so I don't know why the dude before is so critical of a recent high school grad...get ya weight up and not ya hate up ya dig.
Also..Im a former All-Big South performer myself who shot over 40% from the arc I have been living and coaching out of Roanoke VA the past few yrs now doing AAU and coaching basketball @ Roanoke Catholic Ive worked w/ Curtis Staples(UVA)JJ Reddick (Duke),coached JR Reynolds(UVA)not to mention Doug Day who coaches down @Blacksburg now..3 OF whom are TOP SHOOTERS IN NCAA HISTORY Jennings is a good player but pull the postgame stat sheet..he out shoots everyone by 13+ shots EVERY game,& he's the PG
ok...i see u missed the KEY POINT OF WHAT I SAID..i didnt say they couldnt score..the NBA IS FILLED W/ SCORERS ..its what they do to get there & by the way IM FROM THE DMV (DC/MD/VA) Urrea IM A WIZARDS FAN & AGENT 0! your talking about HOW MUCH they score & the bulk of it..BUT NOT WHAT IT TAKES TO GET IT also tell anyone in the NBA to take 20+ shots a game...and see how many points they AVERAGE LOLsmh JENNINGS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO KENNY ANDERSON
Can everyone plz stop disrespecting Kenny Anderson by the B. Jennings comparisons??
just because the 2 are left handed, slight build and quick..their GAMES are NOT SIMILAR..
Jennings has been the beneficiary on being on some of the most noticeable teams w/ mediocre players where he had the GREEN light..and basically just JACKED his way into the limelight
He takes some of the most horrible shots Ive ever seen, he's like a Tracy McGrady and Gilbert Arenas in 1 He does have great court vision
wow...so tracy mcgrady takes bad shots? gilbert arenas takes bad shots? 1st off mcgrady can score at will if he wants to but he has changed over the years and has tried to become more of a team player (let's not forget he averaged over 32 PPG). And over the past three or four seasons, Arenas has averaged over 27 PPG so if you're putting Jennings in the same breath as these two and he just finished high school, then u know he's the truth 4real LOL
does that high school top prospect brandon jennings remind anyone of kenny anderson? jennings can jump a little higher but he's plays with his left like kenny and has the same type of handle...i hope he's doin the right thing playin overseas
What's the name of this Little Brother track? this shit is tough. Also Kenny was the man when he was in Jersey, i remember in the 94 Playoffs when John Starks pushed him and broke his wrist. He was never the same player after that, & he was a Starter in the ASG that year.
It was truly an honor to pattern my game after him. Rare point guard skill combo: cat like quickness, court sence, handles, ability to score and poise.
thanks for the link bro- havnt seen that much high school footage ever. good stuff - keep me posted. special k was new york don. big shout out to veoshock

No, that's not the one that I'm talking about. It does look like Kenny Anderson used and abused Bobby Hurley quite a bit though. lol
