Wouldn't it be a matter of choice for Sephiroth? He could've chose NOT to believe Genesis. He could've went back to Shin-Ra asking to erase his memories. Knowing Shin-Ra, they should have some sort of memory erasing machine in the back of their closet to dig up, right? And besides, IF Lucrecia was his mother, I really don't get how that caused Sephiroth to go crazy. That would mean he's still human, right? Maybe I need to play FF7 & DoC to get it...

But he thinks that Jenova (which is a weird malicious tentacley alien) is his mother, because he's always been told that she was a woman named Jenova. What he finds out here and in the library in Nibelheim's Shinra Manor doesn't change that, he just finds out that Jenova's not human, so he thinks he's not either. It's debatable whether he ever finds out Lucrecia is his real mother; he never mentions her.

Is this from the PSP game of Crisis Core? Amazing story material. I have to say Squaresoft (original creator, prior to merge) made one of the best extended storylines among one of the Final Fantasy games. I cannot imagine if they come out with a movie between Crisis Core and FF7(1997) to extend it further. This game looks like a doozy to play, just like FF7 for PS One.
...Genesis could have said this way nicer. Yet, this "Go rot!" part was unbelievably badass. Note the slight reference to the whole Adam and Eve crap.
Of course, in this mythology crap, Jenova would probably take the Role of Lillith, the mother of Demons.... and the one who let the stupid apple stay where it was, just like sephy did.

Well Genesis Rhapsodos will now be "protecting" the planet (the reason i say protecting is because Sephiroth thought he was doing the same thing) and now Sephiroth and Angeal are dead its his turn, and well with the inevitable fact proven with Kadaj's reunion Sephiroth shall return (thanks to the deppground laboratories) and well Genesis vs Sephiroth is basically a guarantee for the final peice of the compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

Genesis is a former SOLDIER 1st Class, just like Sephiroth. He came out of JENOVA Project G (Gillian). Due to the project being a failure, Genesis is decaying and needs S-cells (from JENOVA Project S, meaning Sephiroth's cells), to survive. He also gained a wing and is capable of turning people into clones of himself.
So, yeah... he's an addition (and an awesome one at that) to the series that was put in to give the game just a lil' more. : 3
Arent the clones survivors who were injected with sephiroths cells? Those may be the clones and they might have added Jenova's cells as well. Because of that He was able to gain control over them.

Those technically were not true Clones of him, Infact "Clone" is in fact a misnomer. Sephiroth Clones are not genetic copies of Sephiroth, but rather those who carry the cells of Jenova, which Sephiroth exerts his will through to use the 'clones' as his puppets.
they were not clones. they were the survivors of the incident injected with Jenova cells. From the life stream Sephiroth took control of Jenova's body and manifested it into his image. As he moved about, the "clones" followed him due to the Jenova reunion theory. As Hojo had expected.

One thing that I hope they'll clear up is that Sephiroth is the one who ends up controlling Jenova and not the other way around like so many people think. There were enough people who actually thought Jenova WAS Sephiroth's mother. Hopefully as time goes on things will be clearer. I'll have to finish watching the rest of the scenes but for now it's time to get some sleep.
It was all Genesis fault they should of putet him on 7 like a flashback so people could know who he was. I don't know why he sounded all like a demon though on Vincent's game they need to make one more ff7 game the final one where Genesis is the main bad guy and Sephiroth comes back somehow to use his full power this time.
Ya, that's the sad part. If he knew Lucrecia was his mother and not some psycho space demon, he'd probably be fine. But then ff7 didn't come out... because Cloud would never have to do anything heroic.
If you ask me, his reaction to meeting Lucrecia wouldn't have been much better, if not worse. Either the fact that she experimented on him, or that she (at least in the DoC Version) just used his father to make Vinny lose intrest in her, or at very least that she was ALIVE all the time but didn't come for him because she was so ashamed of his existance (even before the whole world destruction think) would have been enough for him to stab her in the gut. And then he would have snapped anyway.

What is genesis doing there tho? He wasnt in the Maco Generator in the Original FF7 when that scene occured. Sephiroth started to hit everything around with his sword.
If that exact scene was to be reeacted, how would his sword just suddenly appear and start hitting things? It could work with blocky graphics... but with these graphics it would look absurd. pull the sword out of thin air and hit away lol. not gonna work...

Good scene,even if it is a retcon! Sephiroth is a great villian,but is truly a victim as well...and he could have stayed a hero if he had just routed Shinra, instead of trying to take out the whole planet! Sephiroth is justly famous as the darkest villian with the most power and the most tragic bitter backstory in video games...things are always compelling when he is in a game or story!
So Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal sort of had the same thing happened to them. But Shinra, found another way to make stronger SOLDIERS, besides injecting Jenova Cells and Mako into the baby while they are in the womb. They injected Mako into the SOLDIERS that they had. Making them stronger, but some times, they got high levels of Mako, which means Mako poisoning, resulting into possibly death.

Mako poisoning is not a result of overexposure to Mako. It's a result of the subject being too physically/mentally/emotionally weak to withstand the Mako treatment. As a result the person has a mental breakdown (Mako poisoning). It is for this reason that Turks only scout for the strongest (mentally/physically/emotionally) people to become SOLDIERs. Cloud was NOT strong (thus why he failed the initial test & broke down mentally when Hojo exposed him to Mako the 2nd time during his experiments).
Then, they had another plan. Called, the Jenova Project. This time, they got a woman named Lucrecia pregnant, and while the baby was in the womb, they injected the Jenova Cells, and Mako into the baby. So, when he was born, he was succesful, ans so powerful. ( Because he was born with the Jenova Cells, and Mako ). This baby, was Sephiroth.
Mako exposure wasn't a part of Project G/S...only the injection of Jenova cells. Mako treatment was a part of the SOLDIER project (fully grown human males scouted by the Turks are chosen to become SOLDIERs & are injected with Jenova and treated with Mako). I don't think Genesis/Angeal/Sephiroth were treated with Mako until they were chosen to be the initial SOLDIERs (I can't find anything to the contrary in the FF7 Ultimanias, etc).
Also, they wnated to inject the Jenova cells into a aby that had alreday been born, to see how it effects it, and to see if it would be a succesful experiment like Angeal. So, they tried it on the new born baby, ( Genesis ) but was a failure. ( The reason is, because he WAS NOT born with the Jenova Cells, like Angeal ). And, bad effects began to take over him, as he grew older. ( White hair, growing weak, etc ).
Genesis was experimented on BEFORE Angeal...this is why Prof Hollander refers to Angeal as the 'perfected' experiment. He considered Genesis a failure & tried a different method of injecting the Jenova cells with Gillian/Angeal. Further still, another improvement upon the method was employed with Lucrecia/Sephiroth, which explains why Sephiroth is referred to as 'perfect'. Genesis was trial #1 (good); Angeal was trial #2 (better); Sephiroth was trial #3 (best - the perfected experiment).
Project G ... ( Project Gillian ) was a project to see what would happen if they injected Jenova Cells into a woman, got her pregnant, & see what would happen to the baby when it's born. Angeal, was that baby, and because he was born with the Jenova cells, he was a succesful experiment. Meaning, he was strong, and because Jenova was like an alien thing, he had those wings.
Ah, what a shame...Sephiroth turns out to be a pretty nice guy at the beginning of the game, but the whole Nibelheim incident really screwed him over :(
That's not cool. See, this game makes you feel sorry for all parties involved, including Sephiroth. Because even he had a good side before he went nuts.

do you know if its the real sephiroth that appears for example in ff7 on the shinra ship right before the jenova battle? (first kenova battle) ? or is that jenova in sephiroths body cause he doesnt seem to remember cloud or maybe thats cause cloud was dressed as a shinra soldier back at nibelheim

Spoilers.
Genesis is a former SOLDIER 1st Class, just like Sephiroth. He came out of JENOVA Project G (Gillian). Due to the project being a failure, Genesis is decaying and needs S-cells (from JENOVA Project S, meaning Sephiroth's cells), to survive. He also gained a wing and is capable of turning people into clones of himself.
So, yeah... he's an addition (and an awesome one at that) to the series that was put in to give the game just a lil' more. : 3

Arent the clones survivors who were injected with sephiroths cells? Those may be the clones and they might have added Jenova's cells as well. Because of that He was able to gain control over them.

Those technically were not true Clones of him, Infact "Clone" is in fact a misnomer. Sephiroth Clones are not genetic copies of Sephiroth, but rather those who carry the cells of Jenova, which Sephiroth exerts his will through to use the 'clones' as his puppets.

they were not clones. they were the survivors of the incident injected with Jenova cells. From the life stream Sephiroth took control of Jenova's body and manifested it into his image. As he moved about, the "clones" followed him due to the Jenova reunion theory. As Hojo had expected.
they are not actual clones, just have Jenova cells, much like Cloud does.

One thing that I hope they'll clear up is that Sephiroth is the one who ends up controlling Jenova and not the other way around like so many people think. There were enough people who actually thought Jenova WAS Sephiroth's mother. Hopefully as time goes on things will be clearer. I'll have to finish watching the rest of the scenes but for now it's time to get some sleep.

It was all Genesis fault they should of putet him on 7 like a flashback so people could know who he was. I don't know why he sounded all like a demon though on Vincent's game they need to make one more ff7 game the final one where Genesis is the main bad guy and Sephiroth comes back somehow to use his full power this time.

If you ask me, his reaction to meeting Lucrecia wouldn't have been much better, if not worse. Either the fact that she experimented on him, or that she (at least in the DoC Version) just used his father to make Vinny lose intrest in her, or at very least that she was ALIVE all the time but didn't come for him because she was so ashamed of his existance (even before the whole world destruction think) would have been enough for him to stab her in the gut. And then he would have snapped anyway.

What is genesis doing there tho? He wasnt in the Maco Generator in the Original FF7 when that scene occured. Sephiroth started to hit everything around with his sword.

Good scene,even if it is a retcon! Sephiroth is a great villian,but is truly a victim as well...and he could have stayed a hero if he had just routed Shinra, instead of trying to take out the whole planet! Sephiroth is justly famous as the darkest villian with the most power and the most tragic bitter backstory in video games...things are always compelling when he is in a game or story!

So Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal sort of had the same thing happened to them. But Shinra, found another way to make stronger SOLDIERS, besides injecting Jenova Cells and Mako into the baby while they are in the womb. They injected Mako into the SOLDIERS that they had. Making them stronger, but some times, they got high levels of Mako, which means Mako poisoning, resulting into possibly death.

Mako poisoning is not a result of overexposure to Mako. It's a result of the subject being too physically/mentally/emotionally weak to withstand the Mako treatment. As a result the person has a mental breakdown (Mako poisoning). It is for this reason that Turks only scout for the strongest (mentally/physically/emotionally) people to become SOLDIERs. Cloud was NOT strong (thus why he failed the initial test & broke down mentally when Hojo exposed him to Mako the 2nd time during his experiments).

Mako exposure wasn't a part of Project G/S...only the injection of Jenova cells. Mako treatment was a part of the SOLDIER project (fully grown human males scouted by the Turks are chosen to become SOLDIERs & are injected with Jenova and treated with Mako). I don't think Genesis/Angeal/Sephiroth were treated with Mako until they were chosen to be the initial SOLDIERs (I can't find anything to the contrary in the FF7 Ultimanias, etc).

Also, they wnated to inject the Jenova cells into a aby that had alreday been born, to see how it effects it, and to see if it would be a succesful experiment like Angeal. So, they tried it on the new born baby, ( Genesis ) but was a failure. ( The reason is, because he WAS NOT born with the Jenova Cells, like Angeal ). And, bad effects began to take over him, as he grew older. ( White hair, growing weak, etc ).

Genesis was experimented on BEFORE Angeal...this is why Prof Hollander refers to Angeal as the 'perfected' experiment. He considered Genesis a failure & tried a different method of injecting the Jenova cells with Gillian/Angeal. Further still, another improvement upon the method was employed with Lucrecia/Sephiroth, which explains why Sephiroth is referred to as 'perfect'. Genesis was trial #1 (good); Angeal was trial #2 (better); Sephiroth was trial #3 (best - the perfected experiment).

Angeal, was that baby, and because he was born with the Jenova cells, he was a succesful experiment. Meaning, he was strong, and because Jenova was like an alien thing, he had those wings.
