  • easy...

  • Big up Grenada!!!

  • nice i want to train in a gym like that

  • what is the name of this song ??

  • @robbinmex its a simple minds song from the 80s great song

  • Question: How do you get strong (ie. workout schedule) at these without tearing up your shoulders? Because every time I get ballzy and try to do anything close to my max with an overhead press, I get pain that takes at least a week to heal. Maybe I have rotator cuff problems?

  • @4andbelow work dem tater cuffs :P look up workouts for em teh rotators

  • Dont jump do it slowly and steady and it wil be a lot less than 150. Not hatin but put your ego aside and do it properly. You are also going to have joint problems later on with this type of training fashion.

  • @kemal727

Also, I'm no serious lifter but I do know the number 1 rule of training: Specificity. If his competitions never require him to lift "slowly and steady", there is no point in training that way.

  • @4andbelow Maybe he will be progressing a little faster with this method as long as it lasts but he will be injured much sooner. And he will lose the stregth he has been buildin up during recovery. And I see he has been injured a lot of times. Trying to build up quickly will result in injury. The body has to adapt and training in a slow and controlled fashion will make your progress much better than this way.

  • @kemal727 I realize you have to train at a suitable pace. However, I see no benefit with him lifting slowly and trying to isolate the muscle when he's not doing either in competition. He will lose his explosiveness, and form in competition. Slow is for bodybuilders.

  • @4andbelow Okay I got your point he is not a bodybuilder. But he is putting a lot of stress on his shoulders. You can sill maintain your explosiveness with a fast contraction and a slow retraction. I dont see the point of being very very strong for 6 months afterwards getting injured and not being able to lift anything for a year or for the rest of your life.

  • @kemal727 i suspect his injuries are more due to age though. He trains explosively for his sport which he has too and another aspect may be bad luck. He doesn't show bad form here with explosiveness, but I can also see your point

  • Great work Mark. If you are not the strongest man on the planet, your for sure the strongest 40 something year old on the planet!

  • Hey Mark. I could do that no problem. Really. NOT! GREAT job dude, very impressive. God bless. Mark.

  • mark is the nicest guy, i saw him at the bodypower expo and could not believe the size of him, i hope to see him as worlds strongest man

  • thats a pretty nice machine!

  • @acehead0987 seriously though i wasnt even talking to you i was talking to the guy that was saying that a 495 bench would be a world record , i wasnt even really talking about mark felix in the least, so not sure why your all pissed at me

  • haha it's cool man. classic mistake. Is felix ur favorite strongman?

  • Europeans, spelt with an A. If you're going to write racist bullshit it's very hard for people not to think you're a complete moron and spelling simple words wrong isn't helping your cause.

  • why are there so many idiots like you on the internet?

  • Lol, you're funny

  • Oh man, now you gotta post a vid yourself!

You put your best up, I'll put mine, just to be fair.

  • I think Mark may prove you wrong...I hope he does as he deserves it all the work he's put in.

OD Wilson? Mark Henry? Anthony Clarke?

I think if you look at powerlifting, which is limit strength, there are more black people placing high.....strongman does seem to be dominated by Scandinavians and lately folks from Eastern Europe.

I dunno man, I hope Mark wins just 'cos he's a cool, hardworking guy, I'll cheer for him.

  • That a good machine..seen people improvising this on the calf raise machine lol

  • i like it when people pretend to know what they're talking about, when they don't know shit.. i know a african american guy that can bench 495.. twice.. only been working out for 8 years.. and he's a monster.. he can leg press 2300 lbs .. five times.. so don't act like you know what your talking about.. when you don't know anything ..

  • really? 495 man pretty sure that would make a world record, so i call BS

  • Actually i saw a guy becnh 610 so your an idiot.

  • actually the world record is 1070 dumbass

  • 495 is nothing special, there are plenty of people out there who can bench 500 + (lbs of course)

  • That's not even that strong..

I mean it's strong, but compared to World Strongest Man competitors that ain't shit.

  • good stuff mark. look forward to seeing you in worlds strongest man again this year. bring that trophy home :-)
