I bought Soul Calibur 3 for ps2 at gamestop. It was not in its original case and there was a fucking sticker on the disc!!! Fuck gamestop Jesus Christ.
My gamestop just slids the stickers with the plastic its prestuck on to inside the case so they arent stuck on there. But my old gamestop where i used to live did it. now i have a way around this.

My copy of Wiisports came in a proper box. But I am in the UK... however I know with newer Wii's here you get the crappy cardboard thing. Just thinking if it's the same there that box cover might have been from early Wii's that had a proper box.

I do some artwork and was looking into doing prints. I went to kinkos but for 11x17 on regular paper is $1.75 per print. Is it just the kinkos I go to? Is there a better place? Would also like to get some game covers as well.

Awesome Idea! I did something similar for my Shadow Hearts games that took me forever to find and it kinda worked but my printer kinda sucks. Never thought to go and have copies made somewhere. Definitely gonna do this not only for those games but ones that have those annoying stickers.

The most stores here where I live (except Gamestop) in Sweden for the most part re-wrap it with new plastic (if the game is complete with manuals etc.), so the game feels brand new and then they put the stickers over the wrapper. I appreciate that, even it's a used game.

Great idea but im to lazy to go to a copy works or a fed ex and spend extra money on something that should of never happened in the first place,but i can actually get around this without spending extra money.....i know the manager at my gamestop hes really cool and he gives me a really great condition case with a non stickered insert and i usually get a none scratched game {at least on the PS3, 360 and Wii} with the manual so my gamestop rocks.

Started working at GameStop a few months ago, and the white sticker on top of the yellow sticker, is because we're forced to do that, to cover up the yellow ones. I'm not sure why they put your stickers on the inside of the cover art. That's kind of annoying, none of the stores I spend my time at do that, so I guess it's a by district thing, but I'd be annoyed by that myself.

I am done with gamestop, last month i went to buy Borderlands GOTY and Dungeon Siege 3, both were not shrinkwrapped and had 2 stickers on it and a another sticker keeping it "sealed" where you open it.

hah, I am the same way. When I bought my red wii, it came with new super mario bros and wii sports in those little square folders -- I bought an actual red wii game case and the actual (not a printout) insert for the game (it already game with the booklet). Now it's legit. :D

They never really bothered me enough to do all that but they are stupid and could easily find another way to place prices on there without making the game case all fucked up.
That printing idea is great! The only problem I have with the online "game only" thing is that it doesn't come with instructions either, so that bugs me and there's no way to really fix that. It's nice too because for those gamecube games, you could slide the printed game cover over the crappy original with the sticker. It'll look nice and you still keep the original one hidden underneath. Great video!

Dude! when I worked at gamestop they made us put the sticker on the insert. And I told my boss I was like "Look dude, this ruins the fucking game" And he said "Yeah man I know but we gotta do what we're told" And I said well why can't we just leave the sticker on the paper and stick it in there. And he agreed that would be cool so now on the spine Gamestop puts the sticker on the insert with the paper without sticking it to the actual game insert.

Haha, I was just recently at FedEx doing something very similar (for a super secret project) and it never occurred to me to do this. I thought I had a whole crapload of games with GameStop stickers on the inserts, but now that I look at them, there were only 4 in my collection, plus a couple that didn't have the original inserts at all. Guess I'll be heading back over there soon!
It could be worse, you could have a 2 inch x 2 inch thick sticker on the back of your PC Final Fantasy VII that is impossible to get off without tearing the cover art off :(.

The other thing that drives me nuts is when I grab a case that is not greatest hits and they end up grabbing a greatest hits copy of the game. Fortunately, for the most part, they aren't putting those stickers directly on the spine cover art anymore.

Even if you manage to get the sticker off the spine of the case art, if it's been there a while there's a chance that the residue has soaked into the paper. It's really great when I found that had happened to both Ikaruga AND Cubivore. Freaking gamestop.

I like my my games with cases, boxes, and manuals. Everything it had when it was new, in good condition.
No stupid stickers, no scrape marks. This is why I have to spend like $100 - $200 on a ten to fifteen year old game.

Great idea but im to lazy to go to a copy works or a fed ex and spend extra money on something that should of never happened in the first place,but i can actually get around this without spending extra money.....i know the manager at my gamestop hes really cool and he gives me a really great condition case with a non stickered insert and i usually get a none scratched game {at least on the PS3, 360 and Wii} with the manual so my gamestop rocks.

Started working at GameStop a few months ago, and the white sticker on top of the yellow sticker, is because we're forced to do that, to cover up the yellow ones. I'm not sure why they put your stickers on the inside of the cover art. That's kind of annoying, none of the stores I spend my time at do that, so I guess it's a by district thing, but I'd be annoyed by that myself.
I'll give those scan sites out to people looking, thanks for the tip. I'd much rather have original over custom art.

I am done with gamestop, last month i went to buy Borderlands GOTY and Dungeon Siege 3, both were not shrinkwrapped and had 2 stickers on it and a another sticker keeping it "sealed" where you open it.

funny thing is europe gets wii sports in a full size cover that comes in the wii box, then again recently at target, they were selling wii sports on a shelf in a full size cover labeled "nintendo selects", still though it's kind of a rip cuz u would be payin 20 bucks for a pack in game lol

hah, I am the same way. When I bought my red wii, it came with new super mario bros and wii sports in those little square folders -- I bought an actual red wii game case and the actual (not a printout) insert for the game (it already game with the booklet). Now it's legit. :D

That printing idea is great! The only problem I have with the online "game only" thing is that it doesn't come with instructions either, so that bugs me and there's no way to really fix that. It's nice too because for those gamecube games, you could slide the printed game cover over the crappy original with the sticker. It'll look nice and you still keep the original one hidden underneath. Great video!

Dude! when I worked at gamestop they made us put the sticker on the insert. And I told my boss I was like "Look dude, this ruins the fucking game" And he said "Yeah man I know but we gotta do what we're told" And I said well why can't we just leave the sticker on the paper and stick it in there. And he agreed that would be cool so now on the spine Gamestop puts the sticker on the insert with the paper without sticking it to the actual game insert.

Thats actually a really good idea. I have quite a few game that I ordered online from gamestop that doesn't have the original cover. I might have to invest a little bit of money to print off new covers cause those stupid covers from gamestop annoys me.

Haha, I was just recently at FedEx doing something very similar (for a super secret project) and it never occurred to me to do this. I thought I had a whole crapload of games with GameStop stickers on the inserts, but now that I look at them, there were only 4 in my collection, plus a couple that didn't have the original inserts at all. Guess I'll be heading back over there soon!

The other thing that drives me nuts is when I grab a case that is not greatest hits and they end up grabbing a greatest hits copy of the game. Fortunately, for the most part, they aren't putting those stickers directly on the spine cover art anymore.

Even if you manage to get the sticker off the spine of the case art, if it's been there a while there's a chance that the residue has soaked into the paper. It's really great when I found that had happened to both Ikaruga AND Cubivore. Freaking gamestop.
