  • Total milf

  • She looks so great these days!

  • Sigourney Weaver is great. Like to see her co star with Jody Foster in a sci-fi flick. Aliens and The Thing with Kurt Russell are timeless.

  • strong woman icon. -.- real shit

  • Oh, and by the way, the only thing I need to see before I die is Sigourney Weaver in an AVP, as an alien and predator hunting master.

  • @TheSpartanK11 you mean,in a decent AVP movie ;)

  • Now, if I were an intellagent, or at least a human being with a high school level education, I wouldn't sit in the corner saying "I'm sure everything will work itself out if we just leave the alien alone. Oh, i'm gonna go the bathroom in that dark, hidden corner over there. BYE!" I would get a gun and either A) Look for that son of a bitch, or B) Stand in a hallway back to back with someone else and be ready for the before-mentioned son of a bitch. I really enjoyed how she pretty much did both.

  • The only proper and badass heroine is Ellen Ripley. The one and only.

  • Alien is best!

  • Ripley rules!

  • Thumbs up if you own Aliens quadralogy

  • @BCSA64 Thx for my english introduction

  • Who would like to see Ripley vs Samus Aran?

  • Number one and 2 were classics after that it went shithill

  • 6 Aliens didn't like the video xD

  • Love sigourney weaver. Hate youtube ads.

  • @MsSmellslikefish adblock plus will solve that.

  • i love sigourney weaver (ALIENS)gijoe989.

  • she's a GODDESS

  • She could play absolutely anything and make it amazing. She could play a piece of seeweed and make the movie one of the greatest of all time! She looks absolutely perfect too! She only looks 40 and she is 19 years older than that in this interview!! It's so hard to believe that she's had no surgery! No other star would look this great at 59 so I guess this proves Sigourney really is incredible! <333

  • Who else would like to see her as Ellen Ripely have at it against Sarah Palin?

  • OMG, She is my idol!!

  • I'm at home recovering form my colostomy operation and loved Sigourney. But she didn't reply to my letter so I'm finished with her.

  • Milla Jovovich just blowed up with one of the movies that could be one of the most awesome horror movies of all time with her special abilites to show off her ass, and act like a "wonder woman" she will be better acting for Marvel and Dc comics on super heroes movies, ellen ripley was amazing and at the first movie she didn't had any weapon, at the second one she had it, but she didn't knew how to shoot!

  • What attracted you to Ellen Ripley? I'd say it was looking in the mirror.

  • All I can say is, dont fuck with Ripely.

  • @gerrad86 No. You are wrong. Sigourney Weaver has never won an oscar. for shame.

  • Any actress portraying a female heroine in an action movie needs to watch a lot more of Sigourney Weaver..cause most of them suck.

  • Beautiful actress, intelligent person and all time favourite Sigourney Weaver!

  • its an ok movie (alien)

  • One reason why I like Sigourney Weaver is because she is one of those actors that would be good for just about any role.

  • I love the alien saga

  • Sigourney Weaver > Megan Fox & other skinny whores walking on the red carpet.

  • pin her up!!!

  • is that ok?

  • I LOVE YOU SIGOURNEY! YOU ARE MY HEROOOOO!!!!!

  • "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BITCH"

  • Ellen Ripley: the baddest bitch in the Universe.

  • sigourney! please casting for alien 5!

  • @afryzachary Alien prequel = cancelled.

I'm gonna go kill myself now.

  • She is the perfect women. Intelligent, strong willed and good looking. What else could you ask for?

  • Ripley is the coolest! I love Jesus.

  • Ellen Ripley kicked ass!! Sigourney looks so damn hot, there should've been an Alien 5. Lara Croft, Sarah Connor & Ellen Ripley are THE most baddest female action heroes ever!!

  • 1979, a classic horror film called "Alien" is one of the first films to enhance itself by including a relatable bunch of blue-collar, working class characters and (most importantly) a powerful, female hero.

2007, a terrible action film called "AVP: Requiem" is released as a bog-standard horror film featuring a load of stereotypical teens and a few weak, vulnerable females.

Film-making has jumped backwards centuries in the last couple of decades.

  • Love her!

You must see also the movie "The prayers for Bobby", emotional...

  • She should've been in "Alien vs Predator" and paired with Arnold Schwartzenegger.

  • Are you listening to me, 3 dislikes?! SHUT UP!!

  • Wow, the first movie came out 30 years ago...

I have to say Mrs. Weaver has aged VERY well.

  • A lot of us guys totally dig Ripley-type women. Our perspective is very Hicks-like. I always thought it was cool how Sigourney has a strong jaw without looking mannish. There's a difference between assertive and mannish. She's tall too, even towering over Michael Biehn (or maybe she just looked that way because he was hunkered down in the elevator, preparing for any potential action).

  • I watch films because of HER!

Shes intelligent, has a great humor, beautiful and a very good (THE BEST) actress!!

  • Sigourney Weaver is the best!

She has a great humor, she's intelligent, natural and beautiful!

    A great actress!

    Sigourney love!

  • Yes, Ellen Ripley is definitely the Best heroine of all time. Alien saga is the greatest SCI-FI but I have a big doubt about future prequels. I hope annoying Natalie Portman won't be in it. I would like to see Milla Jovovich, Famke Janssen, Elisha Cuthbert, Kate Beckinsale, Jenna Dewan, Eliza Dushku or at least Jennifer Lopez with Lindsay Lohan but NOOO Portman

  • @Magnolia296 Natalie Portman is very very good actress

  • @dandyboy1 not really. She's good in Black Swan only because she's playing a weak, whiny ballerina with a weak voice. Anywhere else, she's not convincing.

  • @Tigerlily21 she was good in the professional, as queen amidala/padme, that role where she was a single mom who gave birth to her baby in kmart? i mean cmon, really? shes a good actress.

  • @Magnolia296 honestly portman seems way better than any of those choices. the best movie jovovich was in was the one on hawaii. kate beckinsale...maybe.

  • @7thgradeviolin Portman doesn't look good in action films while Jovovich is superheroine

  • @Magnolia296 lol sigourney was great in 1492 conquest of paradise

  • @Magnolia296

    Jennifer Lopez????

    WTF!? you're high enough lady

  • @IgnizNova J.lOpez did a good job in Anaconda, Money Train, out of Sight and Enough so I think she looks great in Action

  • @Magnolia296 You'd seriously prefer LINDSAY LOHAN to Natalie?

  • Aliens Ripley > Avatar's Dr.Grace by a fucking billion times

  • Ellen Ripley - my first hero...

  • I went to see avatar because she was in it

  • @tracmag me to

  • AVATAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo!!!

  • GALASEY QUEST, HEARTS BREAKERS,TAD POLE, ** AVATAR!!

  • AVATAR

  • In 1979, more than 30 years ago, Sigourney Weaver alias Ellen Ripley introduced a revolutionary character into film industry: a female action hero. This movie certainly was a breakthrough within its genre for many reasons, especially for its realistic portrayal of human behaviour.

  • я люблю Sigourney Weaverу !у нее очень красивые глаза !и вообще она супер!

  • It's a pity that the media is obsessed with brainless, fake breasted, spray-tanned non-entities with nothing to say and no vocabulary to say it, whilst articulate, intelligent, interesting and naturally striking women such as Ms Weaver are, by and large, ignored.

  • why are the bricks so small

  • Great post! I loved Aliens and watched it about 35 times - literally. Sigourney Weaver is one of my all time favorites, as is the character of Ripley.

  • EPIC Woman!

  • r they going to make a new alien film?

  • @atomicaj24 They are making an Alien Prequel (1 of 2 Alien Prequels actually). Ridley Scott is the director. The film is set to explore the origins of the so-called "space jockey" which was discovered on LV-426 in the first Alien film. The casting appears to be between Natalie Portman & Naoomi Rapace. The film is currently on hold due to negotiation breakdowns surrounding Budget & Rating.

  • She should've won the oscar for Aliens. Sigourney created cinemas first, truely iconic, female action hero: She provided great insight into feminism, She adopted an orphan, She saved Michael Biehn (not even Linda Hamilton could do that), She destroyed an entire nest of Aliens and won a wrestling match with the Queen Alien. The academy award went to Marlee Martin because she refused to talk. 'nuff said.

  • One of my favorite movies of all time. A strong woman that went back to save a child. Sigourney shows in this interview her intellegence and asute analyst of the charectors and situation involved for this scene to work. This movie wasn't just sci fi intertainment, it was a film that trancended many levels and made you think. Would I have had the courage to go back and rescue Newt? Would you? Excellent interview thank you for sharing.

  • in 1979 an operative officer woman was uncommon. Ripley with her slim & tall body in the green suit and her pretty face & rich curled hair summarized masculine force, determination and feminine appearance, an icon of what a woman could be in the next future.Even if the movie, helas, lacks any sex scene, her breast (without bra) under withe t-shirt was often highlighted. Ripley moreover don't forget to rescue Jones, the Nostromo ship's cat, another reason to love her character...

  • She owned Ripley in the Alien movies. She really delved into her character and what i really like about Ripley throughout Alien/Aliens is that she was very brave, didn't let her fear get the better of her and really was calm around others like Hudson in the second movie, who was scared shitless and even though he was so hilarious, a pain in the ass! She kept her cool...just about :)

  • Is it wrong that I'm a teenager and find her amazingly beautiful?

    GO SIGOURNEY! BEST actress EVER.

  • @HotDogWolf1 Trust me, you're not alone there.

  • @HotDogWolf1 i find her hot! I'm in love with both Sigourney Weaver and Helen Mirren... you gotta see "Tadpole" (Sigourney) and "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" (Mirren version). i know you'd love those kind of movie plots hahahha

  • I so love her

  • She could be my mom ....but damn !! she is stil looking good!! ...best female action hero!!

  • This woman is amazing. Her acting and how she understands the characters perfectly. Nobody can match her talent. She intelligent and beautiful. I can't get over how great she is.

  • Still my favourite actress after 20 odd years. Keep at it Sigourney!!!!

  • I've been saying this since the 2000 movie of Charlie's Angels...they can NOT match up to Ellen Ripley and what she has faced.

If those girls where in her situation againt the ALIENS they would be dead.

  • Best actress.

  • Sigourney Weaver is one of the best female actresses in the world, too many other female actors are so whiney they are annoying.

    but weaver is more though

  • I agree Chud. And they also didn't go the other way and give her a flashy costume, have her use her sexuality or some great romance to move forward. She was strong, independent, but still very much a woman without being tarted up. I appreciated that a lot.

  • The reason Ripley worked, is because they didn't make her superhumanly strong, like they do with all modern female characters. She survived due to her wit and personality, not because of ridiculously unrealistic martial arts skills or having perfect aim.

Basically, they didn't make her into a feminist killing machine designed purely to upstage males in a way that's essentially impossibly in real life.

I honestly don't think there's been a good female action characters since the early 90s.

  • I love you Sigourney

  • Great quote "You find out who people are when you face a common enemy"

  • i love sigourney weaver. she is my favorite actress on earth

  • The woman is way older than me but shes still seems to me incredibly HOT!!!

  • Awesome !! one of the best Heroine actresses in the world !

Also, ''Copycat'' Sigourney Weaver & Holly Hunter was pretty cool !!

  • Wow loved hearing what she had to say. She may great points. Good to see a Hollywood actress with a brain. She seems so intelligent and poised!

  • I think Sigourney would know before you, I mean duh!

  • Ripley was not written for a man originally.

    NOT TRUE!

    Tyler

  • love her

  • LOVE. HER.

  • Reptilian beast!!!

  • Most kickass woman in movie history! Hands down.

  • @SirBraxton1989 In the sci fi genre, Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia Organa precedes Lt. Ripley.

  • how old is she now

  • She's born in October 1949, so she's 60 o.O

  • Alien and Aliens defined an era, they have permeated media and inspired anything from concepts to' details ,they around and within us. That cannot be said of Alien 3 and 4, I mean, I prefer the fourth because the third seems an attempt to destroy a wonderful and magnificent series, how can a series continue if the main character is liquefied? That was for me, a kick in the stomach, I was so disappointed. I hope Alien 5 will be' greater than any other. Ellen, dont leave us.

  • i agree with you GK 3 really sucked royal... but sadly i didnt care for 4 either personally i think they should make a new alien movie (with ripley in it) and just make a new storyline assuming the events in 3 and 4 never happened (at least thats my opinion) :)

  • Its not that it sucked because the actors were poor, the story was retarded, the shots were wierd, the setting was badly arranged, but because its not a pleasant horror movie, I mean, horror movies have to be 'pleasant' meaning that at the end you have to' say: 'Wow! That was awesome! Lets watch it again.' while dealing with gruesome situations. Alien and Aliens accomplish this perfectly.

  • @GKJusticar55 I AGREE! I was so pissed off at Alien3!

Hey, instead of an Alien 5 what do you think of an Alien movie that takes place after Aliens but ignores the events of Alien3, Resurrection, AVP, and AVPR, taking after only the originals and pretends the bad sequels never happened. What do you think?

BTW, they are making a new Alien movie but it's an Alien prequel being directed by Ridley Scott, and no Weaver's not in it because it takes place 30 years before Alien

  • @ScarPredator040365 Could be an interesting proosition.

I think what we need is a colossal AvP trilogy with Sigourney/Ripley which ignores Alien 3 and 4 and detatches itself from the two AvP movies, which, I mean seriously what the hell! I think that that would be intresting, not to mention earth shattering.

  • @GKJusticar55 Yeah I think they should make another AVP but since nobody liked the other two the series is officially dead which is why they are now making Predators and not 1, but 2 Alien prequels and pretending the AVPs never happened.

But since I hated Alien3 and Resurrection and wish they were never made me and my dad are writing our own Alien story with Newt as the main character fighting the Aliens, with a Ripley cameo at the end.

  • @GKJusticar55 All who agree with this guy say aye (or, alternatively, thumbs up!)

  • i freakin loved alien when i was a kid, even wanted an alien as a pet XD. but what was ripleys connection with the aliens? its been years since i saw any of the movies.

  • Ellen Ripley paved way to the greatest female action heroines of all TIME!!! ... Ellen Ripley lead to the creation of Samus Aran

  • BEST FEMALE ACTION HERO EVER!

  • @Zain844 yep linda hamilton in t2 comes a close second but ripley would kick her ass! :)

  • @Zain844

    Absolutely! Her and Sarah Connor!

  • @Zain844

    agree

  • @Zain844 yeah...you watched the empire top 100 movie characters:)

  • @ningeaBLADEclanuBECA

She's old enough to be my mother and i'd still hit that.

  • @Zain844 Definitely. She's gotta be my fav female actress of all time. I love the character Lt. Ripley. It doesn't get any more hardcore.

  • @Zain844 absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree.your awesome RIPLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Zain844 what about Lara Croft?

  • @Zain844 without question ... undeniably ... indisputably!!! Still one of my favorite movie protagonists, PERIOD!!! The evolution of her character was remarkable, as well. She went from an almost reluctant hero (or heroine) in the first film to a hardened, no-frills badass that MARINES even had to respect in the sequel, to a life-weary, faithless cynic in the third and, as far as I'm concerned, final film. Never before has there been such development of a female character that I can think of

  • Comment removed

  • Hell yeah!

  • Ellen Ripley was my female hero as a kid! She still is!

  • Very interesting. I love Sigourney!

  • Ripley is a great character.

  • Shes my Hero!

  • its hard to believe that after seeing her in Avatar, Sigourney at the age of 60 still looks pretty good, as if she hasnt aged a bit.

  • I love you...LOVE ME!!!!

  • She.s very articulate

    Take note ladies .

This is a real woman talkin

  • She is so beautiful. I love the fact she has avoided cosmetic surgery and still looks amazing like she does. She's less Hollywood than all those other actresses and more of a true professional.

  • I know it was nice to get another film, but i beleive they should of stopped a alien 4 because alien 5 was just terrible and slightly unrealistic. To me ellen Ripley died a hero but alien 5 took that feeling away from me :(

  • theres only four alien movies...? lol

  • @joker9494949494

Hopefully we'll see her again in another Alien movie, maybe not in Ridley's new prequel but she might return to series, we''l just have to wait and see.

  • @JOELFOSTERX I hope not. Alien 4 was bad enough. The ending on Alien 3 was the perfect ending for the trilogy, they should have left it as it was. It's just a shame that a director capable of making the movie Amélie could make such a shit movie as Alien 4. Even worse: he wasn't able to see that the movie sucked and that it would ruin the trilogy.

  • @Descalabro

Yeah the 4th movie wasn't a master piece, some find it entertaing but it didn't know what tone to take, Danny Boyel, Peter Jackson were also considered to direct Alien 4 how would of that turned out,The 3rd movie did in away compleate the trillogy although I kinda find Alien 3 boring it did have its moments, its more serious than Alien 4 was.

  • @Descalabro We won't even mention AVP. Ridley Scott is making a new Prequel to Alien, its taking place before the 1st Alien and might give us some answers about the Alien homeworld and the origin. The movie could either turn out good or bad, I hope that it'll be good. Alien 5 is only somehting that fans r hoping for because of how we were let down by the later sequels. What we wanted was to see was what happened afterwards, the series could be saved but only done the right way.

  • @JOELFOSTERX Yes, we'll see how the prequel goes. I wish Ridley would use the old techniques instead of CGI.

  • @Descalabro

CGI is cool but only when its reallisticly convincing and cool, the CGI in Avatar is amaaing, but didn't really work in the Alien movies, what do you mean by old techniques? like minture effects, creature effects, pupetry, make up? I personally don't mind CGI AS LONG AS THEY DON'T OVER DO IT

  • @JOELFOSTERX

Yes, I do mean miniatures, pupetry, make up, and a smart use of the cameras and lights. The CGI works really well on Avatar, and I agree with you: the Alien movies need something raw, not CGI. I'm really not against CGI, but I keep thinking the movie feels a lot better when it's made with real objects. I saw 2012 recently, and the first time they used real water I imediately felt a huge difference. It was almost as if something felt strange, then I realized "look, it's real water!".

  • @JOELFOSTERX If you didn't already, watch the making of Bram Stoker's Dracula. In that movie, Coppola fired all the CGI guys and decided to make everything with old cinema techniques. It's very fun to watch, and the result is just so authentic.

  • @Descalabro

Yeah that movie didn't have CGI and still looked fabulous

  • @Descalabro

the only few CGI films that really blew my mind were in Termiantor 3 and Jurassic Park. Hopefully Rildey Scott will make the right decisions for his new movie and less GCI

  • Where can I find out more about this "Prequel to Alien" ?

  • If Harold Ramis gives a green light for Ghostbusters 3 I want Sigourney Weaver to be in it.

  • Sigourney Weaver/Ellen Ripley ...first major female action hero. And the best. She KICKED ASS with that flamethrower!

  • Comment removed

  • its about the movie not reality

btw that movie was from the 70s

at that time it was grazy to see a strong women in a horror movie kicking alien ass

  • This might be the hottest woman who's ever lived...

  • i TOTALLY agree.

  • i <3 sigourney. She is an amazing talent & I cant wait for Avatar!

  • great actress-she's intelligent and makes good choices in her career. Thanks for posting.
