  • war of the lisps.

  • nigel benn is actually a hillarious guy

  • A strange question. Does anyone know the music that is playing from 00:50? I have been trying to find this music for years.

  • @coharaq That bog trotter? Lol. What a joke.

  • Cheers for uploading this ! I remember this was on tv the night before my first aver day at work .

  • Steve Collins beat both twice

  • lol 0:37 - 0:52

  • who else would have loved to see james toney fight either of these guys back in the day? shame it never happened.

  • It's funny how they both had lisps.

  • hearn and warren dam gd businessmen..fuck sugar put these guys incharge

  • fukin store det hahaha fuk! avoid!

  • I have seen comments here & I am not impressed with such perception. I am neither American nor African, neither white nor black but I know one thing for sure that these two are the greatest fighters and they would not avoid any fighter from any country. C’mon use your mind and intelligence. One can clearly observe their class and bravery.

  • Nice. Calzaghe is the best Brit boxer I've seen, but then he didn't have the brutal wars Benn and Eubank had...with each other, with Watson, with McClellan.

What made them, half killed them.

  • why do I wish Hearn gets dick-rot? Oh I know, it's cos he's a c

  • eubank and benn ducked all the big american fighters

  • jahdanza yep i met jones twice with his two twin kids, very nice guy, had a drink with him in miami all star bar like 4 yrs ago

  • best fight calzaghe had was mitchell . marciano beat joe louis but who is rated higher. he was good but in my opinion not great. roy jones was great .

  • @danemreg Jones is a coward, who did he beat? A weight drained Toney and a pre prime Hopkins! Poor defence, little technical skill and a poor jab, just relied on speed. Just no!

  • Watson was better than both of them, unfortunately he kept getting the short straw

  • calzaghe beat all the washed up champions, he would of never touched roy jones in his day or eubank or collins or benn,

  • @doyler518 Agreed! Jones, Toney, Hopkins, Benn, Eubank, Collins, Watson was real warriors. Unlike that little coward Joke Calslappy that spent a decade hiding behind Frank Warren, slapping milkmen & getting premature stoppage wins on the Cardiff Ice rink then beat two hasbins a decade past their prime! All these Calslappy fanboys knock me sick. The guy would of got killed against a prime Jones, Benn, Eubank or any of the above.

  • @jahdanza Jones is a coward, who did he beat? A weight drained Toney and a pre prime Hopkins! Just no!

  • nigel benn is awesome!

  • Eubank owns one big nose, that's the only thing I'm sure of. ;-)

  • Loved this period of british boxing, all the fights on tv for the nation to watch great boxers both of em Legends. Shame that sky tv ruined boxing in this country along with our national game football.

  • @chefblanc i know boxing would be more mainstream and have more fans if it was on free tv fuck sky

  • Loving the shifty looking black guy at 5:41 as a way to portray Eubank's life of crime!

  • 9:54... Fabulous.

  • Eubank is the man, a true warrior and a true gent.

  • come on you have to just love them both

  • avoided fuck all you moron he beat eubank

    2cents retard

  • Fk u Nigel Benn, EWubank is the man. Great champion

  • these 2 were much better than calzaghe

  • What epic music is this?

  • im still in shock this is a quality page where we talk about the dons and some fucking chump invites carl froch its embarrasing.

  • HA HA HA HA HA froch beat the marvellous one shut your mouth learn some respect .what a crazy thing to say you fucking moron.carl froch severely overrated lazy cocky cunt where the fuck is he now. marvins record is a historical document to be admired.

  • god, i miss these guys. can we bring 'em back?

  • 3:46 Do british boxers learn their boxing lessons in the army? LOL

  • aaron neville - hercules at 2:22

  • Boxing has the history and the soul. What is this MMA bullshit? Pah, you can't touch this.

I rate Benn and Eubank, but neither were quite Marvellous enough ... only one Marvin Hagler.

  • Eubank, pre watson was capable of beating anybody.

  • boy, them early benn days were so excitin!!!

  • i dont put calzaghe in the same class.he avoided too many

  • @danemreg dude i reckon benn would have ko'd hagler but yeah i agree calzaghe wasnt in benn eubank class, he got eubank past his prime, i reckon prime eubank would do well vs prime jones

  • @dropanuke

Nobody could KO Hagler and nobody did. He was barely even stunned in a fight. WTF are you talking about? Hagler was a complete fighter.

  • @shire2005 froch would smash hagler with ease, hagler was dogshit and thats not an opinion thats truth and it makes people cry. do one in your mouth

  • @danemreg Apart from Eubanks who he of course beat........

  • @FightingFitnessUK rocky marciano v joe louis ring any bells

  • @danemreg - such as?

  • @swipeswipe123 what you fucking on mate

  • @danemreg damn right, and only fought them when they were past it

  • @WithnailsDrunk - bs, it's not calzaghe's fault that eubank was past his prime. Calzaghe was an up and coming fighter, what the hell was calzaghe's supposed to do fight eubank in his pro debut. He fought eubank 4 years and 11 days after his pro debut at the age of 25, eubank was 31.

  • @danemreg I do and I put him in a higher class than both benn and eubank. He never lost! Who did Calzaghe avoid? Jones? Hopkins? Just as with Benn, Jones wanted 10^15 dollars and the contract would state that Calzaghe could only train for 3 days and would have to weigh in naked and weigh in at 255lbs!

  • @danemreg Actually after thinking about this for a while, Calzaghe did show the skill and ability, but he never fought a fight like either of these guys. Again, I don't think he avoided, but he didn't have a career defining win. He had say a sum of wins some top guys. Lacy, Joe beat him bad and he should have because Lacy was overrated. Maybe the same could be said for the Kessler, who I believe was better than Lacy, but maybe a bit overrated. Calzaghe's biggest win, was a close fight b-hop!

  • @danemreg who did calzaghe avoid? he beat kessler. beat lacy. beat hopkins. beat jones. calzaghe was the best british boxer ever eubank was just a showman and a poser. nigel benn was a warrier but not as good as joe

  • @joefrench555 Avoided Froch, Pavlik, Johnson, Jones & Hopkins for near enough a decade to name a few. Kessler = 1 trick pony, a robot that give him fits, Lacy = A Frank Warren hype job that never beat anyone, Hopkins arguably beat him though he was 45! Jones = Washed up for a good 5 years before Calslappy fought him.

  • @jahdanza well said

  • @jahdanza froch wasnt even around back then you idiot. calzaghe tried to fight jones and hopkins for years before the fight actualy happened. hopkins and jones both shit themselves hopkins and calzaghe had a deal but then hopkins broke it. dont forget joe was 37 when he beat jones for fuck sake 37! froch is a bum lost to kessler last year joe beat a prime kessler. calzaghe is better than these bums

  • @danemreg He didn't avoid them. They either weren't around, avoided him or he got injuries. He wanted the recognition and money (which didn't come until late in his career) more than anyone.

  • @MrBbuds he isn't rated as high as these 2 and he never will be.

  • @DLPBurke Rubbish. They're all great. Calzaghe's the best though. Too much skill and movement.

  • Michael Watson was also better.

  • @danemreg well said mate, too many people disagree with that but u are spot on!

  • @danemreg indeed. Calzaghe has nothing on these 2.

  • @danemreg Hmmm what happened when Joe fought Eubank?, not Joe's fault the division was crap when he took over,im curious who did he duck in his division?

  • they dont make em like this no more. the poster below me makes an excellent point cos post watson chris was gunshy the evidence is here.

  • is it just me or do i love eubanks accent! :P

  • nigel benn is my second best british boxer

if eubamk thinks he great WHY did he face juilan jackson, roy jones, james toney gerald mcclellan if he did he would get his KNOCKOUT VERY BAD

  • very great grasp of English Mr King...

  • nah eubanks would of beat toney and mcclellan easy

  • how can he beat mcclellan r u crazy

  • no not really it would of been a good and close fight but he would of won

  • @MRGKING Eubank has never said he's great, in fact he's often said the opposite n that he was more of a showman then a boxer. But Eubank was great, he would of laid waste to Toney and McClellan pre Watson fight.

  • the brawler v the technician

  • Eubank was controlled and elegant, like a gentleman.

Benn was the opposite, a rude hot tempered angry man.

Anger is dangerous if its not turned into something useful.

Eubank exploited this and with his superior skill - beat the dark destroyer.

Benn's body punches hurt the living sh!t out of eubank but Benn took some solid rockets to the head too many times...not good for a career.

  • This is an extremely astute comment. Thanks for posting, I think I agree with it all.

  • nigel benn was good but no way as good as eubank he was a showman as well as a good boxer he was the best

  • you talk shite ben was the best he didnt have to show boat he did his azz kicking in the ring

  • No once, and one controversial draw which should have gone in Benn's favour....... lol

  • Ok, lets see who they beat separately; Nigel beat Iran Barkley, the only one to knock him out in ONE round, he beat Doug DeWitt, he beat the great Gerald McClellan. Eubank beat Rochigiani, Malinga, Close (somewhat controversially) and Michael Watson, again controversially. None of these were as good as McClellan. And all those wins came on points and were close fights. Yes I know he lost his killer instinct after Watson. But he always said he was more than just a puncher.

  • eubanks is the man

  • Only if the definition of a man is a pompous, blown up and snobbish guy. I got nothing against the man personally, except that he thinks too highly of himself. Or takes himself too seriously, whatever you prefer.

  • i started cracking up at 9:56...WTF?

  • eubank was so funny.. i used to love that little look at the camera and the old school boxing pose... check out his knockout reel.. he always knew where the camera was! ha ha ha

  • both right up there with the best in the world - no doubt

  • @stavrosdemetriou

the best of british with out a dout

    i rememember these fights ..CLASSICS

  • i remember watching this when i was a kid brilliant fights

  • Wouldn't like the be the guy on the end of that punch, it was brutal

  • What a punch!!

  • those army bouts look shit!! just waving their arms about!!

  • I feel sorry for the poor squaddie that had to mill with Benn.

  • Youth hostelling with Chris Eubank!

  • 8.37 Ronnie Davis with hair!!

  • im fighting to get out of my maisonette flat too Chris lol

If you want to show a tough neighbourhood dont show a sign pointing to Chigwell!

Woolworths v Benn. I love the woolly jumper the guy is wearing running up the street.

He was a very rude boy

No mention of Watson beating Benn prior to Benn winning against De Witt.

A warrior animal, i thought he was talking about Steve Davis.

  • wen he said it was the biggest sporting event since the war was he sayin the war was a sporting event?

  • I know we had a footie game with Germany...

  • Aye, it was a rematch of the 1914 classic (which the allies won on points).

  • Dewitt was pure trash.

  • He was on the same level as a guy like Pavlik.

  • did he have any power?

Cause at middleweight Kelly's got that shit.

  • Dewitt didn't have power, he had an F-ING good chin, similar to Eubanks.

    Dewitt was a tough mother!

  • No friggin way is Pavlik on the same level as Nigel Benn.

When Pavlik Ko's someone like Barkley in 1 round or McCllelan in 10 rounds after getting knocked out the ring in the 1st,then I'll listen to your statement!

Benn was top draw, Pavlik is very limited by comparison!

  • I must've been high as fuck when I wrote that. I honestly don't even remember it.

  • so gangs are only black eh?

    quite an amount of bullshit.

    Stereotypes, anyone?

  • Comment removed

  • No blacks in glasgow???

Granted they might not be responsible for all the knife crimes but there are many races in Glasgow.
